Uma rede Ethernet on chip parametrizável para aplicações DSP em FPGA / An Ethernet network on configurable DSP chip for applications in FPGA

Hélio Fernandes da Cunha Junior 03 June 2015 (has links)
With the accelerated growth of the complexity of the software and applications that require high performance, hardware and its architecture has undergone a few changes so it could meet that need. One of the proposals and approaches developed to support these applications, was the integration of more than one core processing in a single integrated circuit. Initially, the bus communication architecture was chosen, using for its reuse benefit compared to point-to-point. However, with the cores number increase in Systems-on-Chip (SoC), this approach began to present problems to support internal communication. An alternative that has been explored is the Network-on-Chip (NoC), an approach that proposes to use knowledge of common networks on internal communication projects of SOC. This dissertation focuses is to provide a complete NoC architecture, configurable, customizable and on standard Ethernet. The three NoC basic modules, Network Adapter (NA), Link and Switch, are implemented. The results were obtained using the Stratix IV FPGA. The performance metrics used for NoC validation are silicon area and latency. The available parameters are related to developed modules settings, considering features presented of DSP applications. The experiment using two NA, two cores and one Switch needed 7310 FPGA ALUTs which corresponds to 4% of their logical resources. The time for the transmission of an ethernet frame of 64 Bytes was 422 clock cycles at 50 MHz.

Entwurf, Implementierung und Integration eines Applikationstools auf Basis von XCP on Ethernet

Fruck, Alexander 04 February 2019 (has links)

THE RAH-66 COMANCHE NETWORKED BASED DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM

Dehmelt, Chris 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 18-21, 2004 / Town & Country Resort, San Diego, California / Serial interfaces (RS232, RS422/485) have been the standard method of communications in traditional data acquisition systems. The role of these interfaces has been to supply a simple setup and control path between a host and the data acquisition master and little else. Today’s distributed data acquisition systems (DAS), which are comprised of many types of components including Ground Support Computers (GSC), Pilot Control Units (PCU), Data System Control Units (DSCU), Solid State Recorders (SSR), Data Acquisition Units (DAU) and Cockpit Instrumentation Data Systems (CIDS), are ideally suited to the use of Ethernet for not only setup functions, but for the distribution of acquired data and status to an unlimited number of users. Besides the obvious advantage of higher data rates, Ethernet provides other benefits such as greater data integrity, multi-host capability, and common programming interfaces. This paper details the integration of new L3 Communications - Telemetry East (L3-TE) Ethernet based software and hardware components that are part of the Comanche Data Systems equipment suite.

ACHIEVING HIGH-ACCURACY TIME DISTRIBUTION IN NETWORK-CENTRIC DATA ACQUISITION AND TELEMETRY SYSTEMS WITH IEEE 1588

Grim, Evan T. 10 1900 (has links)
ITC/USA 2006 Conference Proceedings / The Forty-Second Annual International Telemetering Conference and Technical Exhibition / October 23-26, 2006 / Town and Country Resort & Convention Center, San Diego, California / Network-centric data acquisition and telemetry systems continue to gain momentum and adoption. However, inherent non-deterministic network delays hinder these systems’ suitability for use where high-accuracy timing information is required. The emerging IEEE 1588 standard for time distribution offers the potential for real-time data acquisition system development using cost-effective, standards-based network technologies such as Ethernet and IP multicast. This paper discusses the challenges, realities, lessons, and triumphs experienced using IEEE 1588 in the development and implementation of such a large-scale network-centric data acquisition and telemetry system. IEEE 1588 clears a major hurdle in moving the network-centric buzz from theory to realization.

Flexible Switching for Flight Test Networks

Collins, Diarmuid 10 1900 (has links)
ITC/USA 2015 Conference Proceedings / The Fifty-First Annual International Telemetering Conference and Technical Exhibition / October 26-29, 2015 / Bally's Hotel & Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV / The network switch is a critical element in the flight test network. All devices in the network are configured, synchronised and managed via the switch. In addition to this all acquired data is routed through the switch. For these reasons, the flight test network switch has always needed to be rugged and reliable with high throughput and simple intuitive setup. Ethernet technology and the move towards open standards within FTI systems have enabled flight test networks to become increasingly flexible and heterogeneous. Modern FTI networks may have different synchronisation and data transmission protocols running simultaneously. It is also important to quickly switch network configurations for different flight profiles and to enable new features to be easily added to existing installations. This paper examines the increasing network interoperability and flexibility challenges and discusses how the network switch is best placed to provide solutions.
