Para conceder uma referência identitária e empírica ao estudo, o Samba Chula de São Braz foi eleito para ilustrar essa representação tanto no que se refere ao modo de vida de seus principais integrantes, como na organização e apresentação do grupo. Assim, através de sua representação é possível investigar como essa forma de expressão popular, cunhada na sociedade colonial do Recôncavo Baiano, carrega consigo as mesmas contradições históricas que marcam essa região, berço primário da nossa nação.This work, the result of a study on the Samba Chula, investigates, primarily, the way in which the daily practices of the subjects that promote this event are represented in aesthetics of letters of your corner.
