The study employed a six-Likert scale with 1=”Strongly Agree”, 2=”Agree”, 3=”Somewhat Agree”, 4=”Somewhat Disagree”, 5=”Disagree”, and 6=”Strongly Disagree”. The needed improvements and barriers that received two-thirds of agreement (numbers 1 and 2 in the six-point Likert scale) were used to create the third questionnaire for Round III. In Round III, panelists were developed consensus by rating the statements that received two-third agreement in Round II. Equally, the same Round II six-point Likert scale was used in Round III.
The result findings of the study were revealed to the demands of extension policy implementation in the region.
A primeira parte do trabalho traz abordagem
This dissertation aimed to assess the impact of the infrastructural expansion of
the Physical Education and Sports College (FAEFID, in Portuguese) of the
Federal University of Juiz de Fora in regards to the extension activities offered
to the community, as well as the presence of the indissociability among
teaching, research and extension in its academic activities. After the
inauguration of its new sports complex, on June 24, 2010, the extension
activities experimented increases both qualitative and quantitative aspects. The
quantitative aspects refer to the development of extension activities in new or
restructured facilities, while the quantitative aspects reflect the expressive
increase in the number of extension projects offered, which contributed to a
more significant public. After about one year of intense extension activities, this
work proposed to identify positive points which have contributes to its success,
as well as negative points that have hindered their quality. The first part of the
dissertation brings a historical approach about several themes, among which
the late institution of the university in Brazil, the history of extension in Brazilian
universities and the history of UFJF. The second part brought light to the
important discussion about the indissociability between teaching, research and
extension, its presence in Brazilian universities and, especially, in the extension
activities of FAEFID. After conducting interviews and applying questionnaires,
the third part of the dissertation analyses the data gathered and presents
suggestion about what can be done to improve the quality of the extension
activities of such College. In the final considerations, the dissertation presents
two expectations: the first, regarding the proposal of realizing a survey aiming at
discovering the reasons for the cancellation of the so-called fluctuating public,
and the second, the possibility of being a source of research that could
contribute to the improvement of the extension activities which are being
developed in the higher education institutions in Brazil.

Transferência de tecnologia e atividades de extensão universitária : análise do projeto de capacitação de pequenos produtores de cachaça do estado de São Paulo /Barboza, Ricardo Augusto Bonotto. January 2011 (has links)
The objective of this research was to show that the transfer of technology, when conducted by a university extension activity, presents effective results.
