O objetivo principal de estudo deste trabalho são as estruturas localmente integráveis L e a fórmula de aproximação de Baouendi-Treves, segundo a qual qualquer solução homogênea de Lu = 0, pode, localmente, ser aproximada por polinômios nas suas integrais primeiras. A realização deste projeto requer um estudo rigoroso de alguns aspectos da teoria das estruturas involutivas e da teoria das distribuições.
