Vårdpersonalens syn på anorexia nervosa och familjens roll under behandlingen av barn/ungdomar : En kvalitativ studie gjord på två olika ätstörningskliniker / Health professionals view of anorexia nervosa and the role of the family in the treatment of children/adolescents : A qualitative study conducted in two different eating disorder clinics

Nordqvist, Jenny January 2015 (has links)
Introduction: The specialized eating disorder treatments provided in Stockholm have different treatment concepts of anorexia nervosa (AN) for adolescents. The role of the family varies as well. The purpose of this study is to compare two of the biggest eating disorder clinics in Stockholm, AB Mando and the Stockholm Centrum för Ätstörningar (SCÄ) to see whether, and if so, they differ. Questions: What views have health professionals at two different clinics on AN and the family's role in the treatment process, and how do they argue for this? How does one relate to the family and why so? Method: In this study, which has a qualitative approach, health professionals at the two eating disorder clinics participated in semi-structured interviews. The interviews were processed in a thematic analysis. Results: The two clinics differs diametrically, which is based in two completely different paradigms. Based on the theoretical background, one can see that the system theoretical approach prevails at SCA, where the family's role is crucial during treatment, only by working relationally with the whole family the patient can recover. At Mando where learning theory / biological approach prevails, the concept is the opposite; by separating the patient from the family and the home environment recovery can be made. The behavior is likely to be maintained if the patient is left in the context where the eating disorders has developed. Discussion: These differences should result in different clinical implications. The issue of equal treatment is raised, but also that it can be an advantage with a varied range of treatments based on the varied needs of the families.

Současná rodina s předškolním dítětem se zaměřením na roli otce / Current family with a preschool child with a focus on the father's role

Burgstallerová, Kateřina January 2014 (has links)
The aim of my thesis was to find out how the current family of preschool children works, with emphasis on the father's role in the family. In the theoretical part I have focused on the problems of current families, gender issues, respectively gender stereotypes, the importance of a father in a child's socialization process, the influence of the father on the child's upbringing. In the theoretical part, I have also followed up the issues of the kindergarten cooperation with family, with emphasis on the role of the father in it. The empirical part of the dissertation has two levels. The first one is the status of the father in the current family, the second level relates to how kindergarten teachers perceive fathers and their involvement in co-operation with kindergarten.

An Investigation of Role Salience and Linkages to Work-Family Conflict

Greer, Tomika Wilson 2011 May 1900 (has links)
This dissertation contains reports of three separate studies in which the connections between work role salience, family role salience, stereotype threat, and work-family conflict were explored. In the first study, findings from a systematic review of the role salience literature were reported. Following a search of four Human Resource Development (HRD) journals, the PsycINFO database, and the Academic Search Complete database, 69 articles and papers were identified for inclusion in the literature review. The literature mostly pertained to career development, with a notable emphasis on life-span, life-space theory. Though, very little of the research in the sample of literature pertained specifically to how individuals negotiate their lives as they occupy multiple life roles. In the second study, meta-analytic techniques were used to identify the nature of the relationships between work role salience, family role salience, and work-family conflict. Hypothesized relationships were based on conservation of resources theory. Data were collected from fourteen papers and articles to test the hypothesized relationships. Work role salience was positively related to work-family conflict (ρ = 0.151; p < 0.01) and family role salience was negatively related to work interference with family (ρ = -0.049; p ≤ 0.05). Family role salience appeared to support healthy involvement in both the work and family roles while work family salience appeared to deplete the necessary resources to balance work and family roles satisfactorily. The third study was an introduction of stereotype threat as a potential moderator of the role salience and work-family conflict relationships. Data were collected from 727 individuals who responded to an online survey. MANOVA was used to conclude that White and Black/African-American participants differed in their responses to the work-family conflict and stereotype threat scales. Regression analyses were used to assess the moderating effects of stereotype threat. Stereotype threat moderated the relationships between parental role salience and family interference with work. Future research efforts should include further examination of the similarities and differences in how the variables interact across racial boundaries and the mechanism(s) by which the stereotype threat affects role salience and work-family conflict relationships.

Management ošetřovatelské péče u pacienta s nitrolebním krvácením / Management of nursing care of the patient with intracranial hemorrhage

LESÁKOVÁ, Barbora January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with a problematic of management of the nursing care by a patient with intracranial hemorrhage. Most of the patients who survive intracranial hemorrhage stay permanently reliant on the care from others. That is why it is so important for this care to be as qualitative as possible and to have a fluent continuity. The aim of the thesis was to find out what is the role of a nurse by the patient with intracranial hemorrhage, then also find out, if the nurses know the warning signs of a worsening state of such patient, how do they cooperate with his/her family and what are the possibilities of the following care. In the empirical part of the diploma thesis, qualitative-quantitative research was used. For a complex view on a management of nursing care, the chosen technique of research was semi-structured questionnaire with patients with intracranial hemorrhage and non-standardized questionnaire with nurses who take care of these patients. For the quantitative part of the research, two hypotheses to two aims of the diploma thesis were set. Both hypotheses weren't proven by statistical methods. For qualitative research, four research questions were set. The respondents described the role of a nurse, especially in helping the patient, in rehabilitation and in also her role in educating the patient. Addressed respondents agreed on appropriate and swift reactions of the nurses in case the state of the patient starts to worsen. The cooperation of nurses and families is according to the patients without problems. It showed in the interviews with respondents, that there is a problem with insufficient awareness of the patients about the existing possibilities of following care. The outcome of the diploma thesis is a coherent educational material about nursing care by a patient with intracranial hemorrhage, which can serve to either the students or the nurses taking care of these patients.

Proměny rodiny a manželství / Changes in Family and Marriage

ANTOŠOVÁ, Pavla January 2007 (has links)
This Master Theses deals with the changes of the family and marriage in last century. The changes in the character of Czech demographic behaviour, in the field of reproduction, represent consequences of a modern cultural change, whose bearers are contemporary young Czech generation. The low marriage rate and birth rate are inevitable phenomena accompanying these cultural changes. In the 1990´s of the 20th century there was a decrease in the percentage of marrying young people. It brought about higher legitimacy to other types of households such as unmarried cohabitation, single and other alternative kinds of cohabitation. The change is also in division of roles in the family. I focus on the perception, how these changes are reflected by the church in its dogma. I also concentrate on the possibility to compare it with the findings of experts.

Dukátová, Tereza January 2012 (has links)
This diploma work examines the family role of seniors in today's world. The theoretical part describes the phenomenon of the quality of life with an emphasis on the quality of life of seniors. Furthermore, the work focuses on old age, its definition and characteristics, on seniors in the Czech Republic and the description of the elderly in relation to the family. The last chapter deals with the care for the elderly. The empirical part is motivated by the main research question: What is the family role of seniors living in residential facilities of social services from their own perspective like? To answer this question I conducted a qualitative research using a test of family system - FAST and the interview. The whole research is focused on seniors living in residential facilities of social services. I worked especially with retirement homes. The empirical part includes the research objectives and questions, the detailed description of the methods I used, the research sample and the description of the whole process of research. The complete research, its process and its results are then subjected to a critical examination in the discussion.
