Responsiv webbdesign har blivit en konvention på Internet i takt med att allt fler besöker webbsidor från sina mobiltelefoner. Men det flytande formatet orsakar svårigheter gällande bildgestaltning anpassade för responsiva webbformat, vilket försämrar bildernas funktionalitet. I denna iterativa studie har en featuregrafiks förutsättningar i responsiva format undersökts på en konceptnivå, för att kunna bilda en uppfattning om hur olika designprinciper och riktlinjer kan användas för att påverka berättargrepp, dramaturgi och bildkomposition. Metoderna som har använts för att resonera kring frågeformuleringarna är följande; Artefaktanalys av befintliga trender på Internet idag, Prototyping där en fördjupad skissprocess presenteras och diskuteras, Utprovning med en Virtuell testgrupp och påföljande Dataanalys och slutligen High-Fidelity Prototyping på en webbutvecklingsplattform. Studien resulterade i tre olika exemplifierande layoutlösningar, som redogör för hur en responsiv featuregrafik skulle kunna gestaltas för att korrelera en associativ med en linjär läsordning, medan konsekvenserna för bildkompositionen i responsiva format kunde beskrivas med tre tydliga exempel; 1. Töjning, 2. En helt ny komposition och 3. Beskärning. Avslutningsvis förs en diskussion kring dessa slutsatser. / Responsive web design has become a convention on the Internet as more and more people visit web pages from their mobile phones. But the floating format causes difficulties when designing images for responsive web formats, which impairs the functionality of the images. In this iterative study, the conditions of a feature graphic in responsive formats have been examined at a concept level, to be able to form an idea of how different design principles and guidelines can be used to influence narrative grip, dramaturgy and image composition. The methods used to reason around the questionnaires are as follows; Artefact analysis of existing trends on the Internet today, Prototyping where an in-depth sketch process is presented and discussed, Testing with a Virtual test group and subsequent Data analysis and finally High-Fidelity Prototyping on a web development platform. The study resulted in three different exemplifying layout solutions, which describe how a responsive feature graphic could be designed to correlate an associative with a linear reading order, while the consequences for the image composition in responsive formats could be described with three clear examples; 1. Stretching, 2. A whole new composition and 3. Cropping. Finally, a discussion is held about these conclusions.
