Med dagens höga kundkrav, både i form av specifika produktrelaterade krav och krav på certifiering enligt kundens angivna standarder krävs ett strukturerat och tydligt förhållningssätt till kvalitetsarbete. Fordonsindustrins standard för kvalitetsledningssystem är ett sådant exempel. Denna standard är nypublicerad av International Automotive Task Force (IATF) och gäller för samtliga företag som är aktiva inom fordonsindustrin, både huvudaktör och eventuell underleverantör. Talent Plastics Laxå är ett företag som tillverkar plastdetaljer till företag inom fordonsindustrin och måste således anpassa sig efter standarden.  Syftet med arbetet är att granska och säkerställa att processen för framtagning av en ny produkt uppfyller och genomförs i enlighet med kundernas krav, företagets egna krav samt de nypublicerade kraven som framkommit i standarden IATF 16949:2016.  Datainsamlingen grundade sig till stor del av analys och granskning av den aktuella standarden samt den tidigare, med målet att identifiera de nypublicerade kraven och tydligt urskilja skillnader mellan avsnitt relaterade till arbetets område.  Detta arbete förtydligar och ger en inblick i de skillnader Talent Plastics Laxå måste anpassa sig efter i förhållande till att uppfylla kraven i IATF 16949. Vidare arbetas ett fåtal förbättringsområden fram som organisationen måste förbättra, vilket dels innefattar rekommendationer om att på ett mer tvärfunktionellt tillvägagångssätt angripa problem. Ett annat förbättringsområde identifieras även gällande informationsutbyte, där förbättringsåtgärden grundar sig i implementation av dagliga styrningsmöten. Med de identifierade förbättringsområdena och de tillhörande åtgärderna hoppas vi kunna hjälpa Talent Plastics Laxå att uppfylla kraven och således även förbättra den egna verksamheten. / Today’s high customer requirements, both specified product related requirements as well as fulfilled certification of customer decided standards demand the organization to work with quality related questions in a structured and pronouncedly way. The automotive quality management system standard is one such example. This standard is newly published by International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and applies to all companies active in the automotive industry both principal and any subcontractor. Talent Plastics Laxå is a company that manufactures plastic parts for companies in the automotive industry and must therefore conform to the standard. The purpose of this paper is to review and ensure that the process related to production of a new product meets, fulfills and is performed in accordance to customer requirements, requirements set by the organization as well as the new requirements in IATF 16949. The collection of data was mainly based on review and analysis of the standards, including the current IATF 16949 but also the antecedent ISO/TS 16949, with the purpose to identify the changes and new requirements that may affect the actual process.  This work clarifies and gives an insight to the differences Talent Plastics Laxå needs to adapt to for fulfill the requirements in IATF 16949. Furthermore, a few improvement areas are identified that the organization have to improve, which includes recommendations for addressing problems in a more multi-disciplinary approach. Another improvement area is also identified for information exchange, where the recommended improvement is based on the implementation of daily management meetings. With the identified improvement areas and associated recommendations, we hope to help Talent Plastics Laxå meet the requirements and thus also improve the own business.
