Mitos e identidades nos filmes justiça vermelha, turistas e gran torino

This study mainly intends to analyze the ideological, mythological and identitary aspects of the Americans. It verifies how the contemporary American mythology is adapting itself to the historical transformations it has been passing through as well, generated by one more global crises. Besides, it also considers Hollywood movies as mythological narratives. Three Hollywood films have been selected for this study: Red Corner (1995), Turistas (2006) and Gran Torino (2008). They were used as basis to the purposed analysis. Este verifica então de que maneira a mitologia estadunidense contemporânea está se adaptando às transformações históricas que se tem assistido, movidas por mais uma crise global do capitalismo. Também considera os filmes hollywoodianos como narrativas de mito. Para a realização deste estudo foram utilizados três filmes hollywoodianos: Justiça Vermelha (1995), Turistas (2006) e Gran Torino (2008), os quais serviram como base para a análise proposta. Neste sentido, buscou-se aqui focalizar a construção do “americano” em cada filme, seu discurso, sua relação com o Outro, em três diferentes situações que foram apresentadas neste estudo
