應用翻轉學習模式於教育訓練之研究─以在台標竿企業為例 / A Study of Application of Flipped Learning Model on Employee Training: Example of Ten Benchmark Companies in Taiwan

何靜雨, Ho, Ching Yu Unknown Date (has links)
Since 2007 the education field in the United States has started to promote the flipped learning model, which has been being widely discussed by schools until now. As far as enterprises are concerned, Global Human Capital Trends Research 2014 report pointed out that the flipped learning model would be the trend for the employee training of enterprises in the future. It is a topic worth exploring in depth how enterprises apply this teaching technique to optimize the training time of courses and further improve learning effectiveness. However, much past research regarding the flipped learning model in Taiwan focused on the education field as the object of study. There is still no current research on business industries in Taiwan that utilize the flipped learning model. Therefore, ten Taiwan’s enterprises which either won an Education and Training Award or are leading enterprises have been interviewed in this research to come to know the current condition of how enterprises apply the flipped learning model, coordinative measures, and key success factors. The result of this study showed that: first, enterprises mostly apply the flipped learning model to courses for new employees, supervisor’s training programs, to soft general courses and management courses. Second, most enterprises utilize a system platform and a reward system for lecturers and learners as the coordinative measure. Third, both the interviewed enterprises and literature indicate that the lecturer’s competence and the establishment of a platform are the key success factors for the flipped learning model.

Student Perceptions of Flipped Learning in a High School Math Classroom

Strohmyer, Daniel 01 January 2016 (has links)
Flipped classrooms are implemented in more schools each year, particularly in courses requiring increased teacher guidance for mastery. While a foundation of research related to pedagogy and academic outcomes exists, research is limited surrounding student perceptions of the social and learning culture during flipped learning. The purpose of this study was to explore high school math students' lived experiences of flipped learning related to content and instruction, critical thinking, and collaboration and interactions. A phenomenological design was employed using a conceptual framework combining cognitive load theory, sociocultural learning theory, and schema theory. Students from two public high schools in the Midwest participated. Seven students participated in interviews, and nine students participated in two focus group discussions. Data analysis involved in vivo coding of transcribed interviews and focus groups. Key results included students' perceptions of increased engagement and interactions, as well as more in-depth learning in flipped environments. Increased critical thinking was related to both instructional strategies employed and students' ability to self-regulate learning. Concepts of peer collaboration shifted as students viewed learning environments and sources of expertise as more extensive in the flipped environment. This study contributes to positive social change by providing educators and researchers with a deeper understanding of the importance of ensuring students are competent in using social technology tools that encourage students to interact both socially and academically in order to help them become more self-directed learners.

Preparing Teacher Candidates for 21st Century Classrooms: A Study of Digital Citizenship

January 2015 (has links)
abstract: Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University recently adopted a "technology infusion" approach to prepare teacher candidates (TC) to integrate technology into their instruction and meet the International Society for Technology in Education Standards for Teachers (ISTE Standards*T) by infusing technology integration approaches into methods courses. At the onset of the technology infusion approach, one important ISTE Standard-T was neglected in the curriculum--that is, digital citizenship (DC), i.e., the responsible, legal, and ethical use of technology. To address this problem of practice, a suite of teaching materials and support services was created, the Technology Infusion Support System (TISS), to help instructors effectively teach DC. The suite consisted of four online modules on essential DC topics including copyright/fair use, digital footprint/social media, acceptable use policies, and responsible student behavior. The support component consisted of ongoing just-in-time support from a technology integration specialist, an instructor's guide, and a resource folder. This mixed methods action research study was conducted to examine: DC instruction by those who used the TISS and the influence of DC instruction on TC's intention to promote and model DC in their future classrooms. With respect to the second objective, the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) guided study efforts. Participants included teacher education faculty members who taught DC in technology-infused methods courses, their students, and the technology infusion specialists who provided ongoing support to instructors throughout the duration of the study. Data gathered included survey data, observations, focus group interviews, instructor interviews, and researcher journal entries. Results suggested the TISS was a useful intervention in a college using a technology infusion approach. Course instructors provided consistent instruction on a topic outside of their area of expertise. Further, there was a significant increase in the students' intention to promote and model DC in their future classrooms. The discussion focuses on explaining: the effectiveness of DC instruction; how instruction in DC changes students' intentions to promote and model DC; and the usefulness of the TPB model in understanding how attitudes toward DC, and perceived behavioral control, i.e., efficacy, influence intention to promote and model DC. / Dissertation/Thesis / Doctoral Dissertation Leadership and Innovation 2015

Flipped Learning y Aprendizaje Musical: un estudio colectivo de casos con estudiantes de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria en un entorno rural

Fabra-Brell, Eugenio 18 February 2021 (has links)

Flipped Classroom : A Literature Review on the Benefits and Drawbacks of theReversed Classroom

Kostaras, Vasiliki January 2017 (has links)
Technology has become an integral part in the realm of education. The flipped classroom is a recent teaching method where students can watch instructional online videos outside the classroom that actively engage them in their learning process. Although this trend has gained momentum in many disciples and there are many studies available, research behind language acquisition through the flipped classroom model is limited. Still it is implemented by many teachers in the upper secondary school in Sweden. The aim of this study is to investigate the benefits and drawbacks of the flipped classroom in the EFL context and to see if the Flipped Classroom enhances interactive skil ls in students’ language learning. Peer reviewed research articles were used and data has been collected through research behind the Flipped Classroom. The perceptions behind it were divided. Some teachers and students experienced the Flipped Classroom as something positive with regard to availability of material, the promotion of active learning for students and enhancement in language interaction. Along with these, criticism made on this teaching method is that creating material to be available online was time consuming and that perceived an increase in the homework load. As regards oral interaction, both teachers and students felt that it did enhance skills in speaking since preparation before class lead to qualitative time for interaction with the teacher during class, something that was very limited before implementing the flipped classroom model. This review suggests that there is a demand for further studies in the area of English language teaching and English language acquisition in the Swedish context of upper secondary education.

College Instructors' Experiences Transitioning to Inverted Classroom Instruction

Brown, Glenda Maria 01 January 2017 (has links)
Lecture methods in higher education continue to be the most often used form of lesson delivery, although they seem to be less effective in promoting adult students' learning and engagement. Many higher education instructors have incorporated inverted classroom (IC) methods to increase student engagement and learning. The purpose of this qualitative interview study was to gain an understanding of college instructors' decision-making processes and experiences transitioning from lecture-based instruction to IC and the factors attributed to that transition. Knowles's andragogy theory, Kolb's experiential learning theory, and Rogers's diffusion of innovations provided the conceptual framework for the study. Eight college-level instructors from the Flipped Learning Community were interviewed twice to collect data, which were analyzed using first and second cycle coding. Themes included student focus, support, change agent, and need to dialogue. Results may provide administrators with information to promote instructors' transition from lecture-based methods to IC. Results also indicated that IC was an effective social change strategy for boosting student retention, student engagement, and instructor satisfaction.
