Such aspects are called transference meshes following Freud's and Lacan's psychoanalysis, which serve as references for the issue in this work. In our clinic we noticed close relations between the patients' histories and their symptom, which we differ from the pathology to make it closer to the concept of pathos. Experiencing pathos as a speech hindrance appeared to us as a recurrent element in these histories: the Oedipal conflict enhanced by the particular way in which the father's presence appears, be it vilified, denied or exacerbated in his authority. Hence, our hypothesis to elaborate this thesis was that common traces in these patients' relation with language, the organizer of their symptom, are linked to the particularities of experiencing the Oedipus complex, whose consequences appear in the transference with the language therapist, becoming essential for therapeutic management. In this perspective, we developed a detailed study of Oedipus time in Lacan and its relations with the subject's position aiming at checking the proposed hypothesis. This step allowed us to understand the fragile support of the father's symbolic function by the maternal discourse is a constant factor in the genealogy of this symptom. This meta-psychological hypothesis led us to thematize the paternal role, the development of ideals and their relation with the development of stuttering as a symptom based on neurotics case studies. With the articulation between theory and practice in the stuttering clinic, the transference as an inherent condition for possible treatment may be particularized in the stuttering clinic, since the latter initially addresses the therapist from a so-called knowledgeable position; however, depending on the therapeutic management, such knowledgeable position will bring important developments towards the subject. Our conclusion is that in the specific technical work with stuttering, identification processes are intensified and headway in the treatment is linked to the professionals' understanding that the transference effects of their procedures will inevitably affect the subject, even though the focus is on the pathology. The effects of transference in the clinic of language show simultaneously the hate for speech and the extreme idealization placed on it, working one way or the other as a castration sign / A revisão da literatura sobre a clínica da gagueira aponta para a unanimidade dos pesquisadores em considerar que, embora essa disfluência seja um problema de linguagem sem etiologia esclarecida, os aspectos subjetivos determinam os progressos no tratamento. A esses aspectos chamamos tramas transferenciais, à luz da psicanálise freudiana e lacaniana, bases referenciais para a problematização inerente à temática deste trabalho. Observamos em nossa clínica íntimas ligações entre a história dos pacientes e seu sintoma, que foi aqui diferenciado de patologia e aproximado do conceito de pathos. A vivência de pathos como interdição à fala apareceu-nos atrelada a um elemento recorrente dessas histórias: a conflitiva edípica acentuada por um modo particular de presença do pai, seja denegrido, negado ou exacerbado em sua autoridade. Diante disso, nossa hipótese para elaborar esta tese foi a de que, na relação desses pacientes com a linguagem, traços comuns organizadores de seus sintomas estão atrelados à particularidade da vivência do complexo de Édipo, cujas consequências se manifestam na transferência com o terapeuta da linguagem, sendo assim fundamentais para o manejo terapêutico. Nessa perspectiva, desenvolvemos um estudo pormenorizado dos tempos do Édipo em Lacan e de suas relações com a posição do sujeito, com o objetivo de verificar a procedência da hipótese levantada. Esse passo nos permitiu compreender que a frágil sustentação da função simbólica do pai pelo discurso materno é um fator presente na genealogia desse sintoma. Essa hipótese metapsicológica nos fez tematizar a função paterna, a formação dos ideais e suas relações com a formação da gagueira como sintoma a partir do estudo de casos de neuróticos. Mediante articulação entre teoria e clínica, a transferência como condição inerente à possibilidade de tratamento pode ser particularizada na clínica da gagueira, uma vez que esta inicialmente convoca o terapeuta a partir de um lugar de suposto-saber sobre a linguagem; todavia, dependendo do manejo terapêutico, esse suposto-saber trará desdobramentos importantes na direção do sujeito. Concluímos, assim, que no trabalho técnico específico com a gagueira, processos identificatórios estão intensificados e os progressos no tratamento estão atrelados à compreensão por parte do clínico dos efeitos transferenciais de seus procedimentos que, mesmo focados na patologia, estão inevitavelmente atingindo o sujeito.
