Dietas com farinheta de trigo e adição de fitase e xilanase para poedeiras leves de 74 a 94 semanas de idade / Diets with wheat middlings and adittion of phytase and xylanase for laying hens at 74-94 weeks of age

Franceschina, Carolina Schell January 2016 (has links)
The use of agroindustrial residues in the feeding of poultry is still limited due to the high crude fiber content and low fermentative capacity of these animals. The enzymatic supplementation with phytase and xilanase can be a resource in the diet of laying hens when associated to the inclusion of alternative ingredients. The objective of this work was to evaluate the inclusion of enzymes phytase and xylanase in diets containing wheat middlings on the performance, egg quality and metabolizability of nutrients of 90 laying hens, Bovans White strain, at 74-94 weeks of age. The birds were housed individually, in laying cages. The experimental period lasted five productive cycles of 28 days. The diets were formulated based on corn and soybeans and wheat middlings (10%), with or without the inclusion of exogenous enzymes phytase (Quantum Blue, concentration 5000 FTU/g) and xylanase (Econase XT, concentration 16000 BXU/g). The treatments were: I – positive control (2850 kcal of ME; 3,8% Ca; 0,35% available P) and II – negative control (2800 kcal of ME; 3,63% Ca; 0,20% available P). Using the diet II, the other diets were composed: III – phytase 300 FTU/kg; IV – phytase 300 FTU/kg + xylanase 12000 BXU/kg; V - phytase 1300 FTU/kg and VI – phytase 1300 FTU/kg + xylanase 12000 BXU/kg. The birds fed diet phytase300 presented the best feed conversion and a high egg production. The birds receiving negative control and phytase1300 + xylanase12000 presented the worst feed conversion. The hens fed phytase1300 presented the best eggshell quality, which is an important measure for the egg achieves intact to the final consumer. The hens receiving phytase300 presented the best utilization of nutrients. There was no significant difference in the ash content of the tibia of the hens. The addition of phytase to the diets containing 10% of wheat middlings for laying hens at 74-94 weeks of age maintained the performance, the egg quality and the utilization of nutrients.

Qualidade de ovos e metabolismo em poedeiras com diferentes idades e fitase na dieta em sistema orgânico / Organic eggs quality and nutrient metabolism in laying hens with different ages and phytase in diet

Sauceda, Douglas Rodrigues January 2017 (has links)
The consumer's concern with the origin and quality of the food is seen with greater attention, social and environmental concern. Taking into account this demand the information on diets and metabolism of birds within the organic system are scarce. It is known that the age of the bird influences the performance, egg quality and metabolism, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of age on the egg quality of laying hens and to evaluate the effect of the enzyme phytase on the metabolism of nutrients in organic egg production system. Were used laying hens semi heavy with different ages (28, 65 and 110 weeks). The was also evaluated inclusion of the phytase enzyme in 4 inclusion levels (0,300, 750 and 1300 FTU / kg) in the diet of the birds. The external quality of the eggs was impaired with the advancing age of the birds. Birds at 28 weeks had lower egg weight than birds at 65 and 110 weeks. The quality of the bark decreases with the advancing age. However the internal quality of the egg did not change with the age of laying hens. The inclusion of phytase had no effect on nutrient metabolism. The metabolism of nutrients was different between the ages, birds with 110 weeks presented better efficiency, except in minerals. It was observed that the inclusion of 300FTU / kg of phytase in birds with 110 weeks stimulated a higher consumption of DM, Ca, P and N. The best calcium balance was observed in birds at 28 weeks, which used 18% and 34% More than birds at 65 and 110 weeks. In the performance monitoring the birds 65 weeks of age old birds had 19% more total egg mass. Was observed that birds at 28 weeks had better feed conversion per dozen eggs than birds at 65 and 110 weeks. The weight of the egg was affected by the age of the birds, being greater in birds with 110 weeks. Feed intake of forage did not differ between ages. The age of laying affects the external quality of organic eggs. In organic production system, the metabolizability of dietary minerals was higher in young birds compared to older birds, but the protein and energy intake of the diet increased with the age of the birds.

Desenvolvimento de ninhos mecânicos e avaliação de seus efeitos na coleta e incubação de ovos de matrizes de frangos de corte / Development of mechanical nests and assessment of their effects on the collection and hatching of eggs from broiler breeders

Pilotto, Fernando January 2010 (has links)
Two experiments were carried out to design a new mechanical nest model for the collection of eggs from broiler breeders. The first one was an adaptation of the hand-operated Dutch nest, to a model that allows for mechanical egg collection. This adaptation was assessed in two experiments conducted in the same poultry house from the 25th to the 35th weeks of life. In the first experiment, the weekly rates of eggs produced (%WEP) and of floor eggs (%FE) were compared, whereas in the second experiment, in addition to these variables, the rates of cracked eggs (%CE) and of nest dirty eggs (%DE) were also assessed. In experiment 2, in order to reduce the number of floor eggs observed in experiment 1, wood shavings were placed on the designed bedding, from the time hens enter the poultry houses to the 26th week. %WEP was similar in both types of nests, in experiment 1 and experiment 2. With regard to %FE (experiment 1 and 2), %DE and %CE (experiment 2), the mechanical nest had the worst performance (P<0.05). In experiment 2, lining the mechanical nest with wood shavings did not contribute to reducing %FE. Changing the hand-operated nest into a mechanical one significantly increased the number of floor eggs, of cracked eggs and of nest dirty eggs, with poorer acceptance of the mechanical nest by the hens. The aim of the second experiment was to design a new mechanical nest model and to compare its performance with that of the hand-operated Dutch nest. A total of 7,800 hens and 800 males were housed in each poultry house, and assessed the percentages of eggs produced, nest dirty, floor, cracked, discarded, microcracks, infertility, embryonic mortality, contamination, stunting syndrome and hatching from both types of nest. No statistical difference was observed in the rate of eggs produced, cracked eggs and nest dirty eggs between the nest models in most of the weeks assessed. However, the average obtained for the 28 weeks shows that the poultry house with the hand-operated nest had a better performance. With respect to the rate of floor eggs, the poultry house with the hand-operated nest yielded better results. There was no difference between the collection system in terms of the rates of discarded eggs and parameters analyzed and the hatch. The experiments have demonstrated that wood shavings in the nest influence strongly breeders acceptance and breeders; also the mechanical nest model developed it’s a good alternative to the conventional model. Nevertheless, it still has to be improved to have the same performance as that of the hand-operated nest.

Qualidade de ovos e metabolismo em poedeiras com diferentes idades e fitase na dieta em sistema orgânico / Organic eggs quality and nutrient metabolism in laying hens with different ages and phytase in diet

Sauceda, Douglas Rodrigues January 2017 (has links)

Poletti, Bruna January 2017 (has links)
The loss of quality in egg is an inevitable and continuous process over time. There are laws in force in Brazil regarding the temperature and storage of commercial eggs, however, it is still necessary to research on the shelf life of eggs from the organic system. The objective of this work was to evaluate the shelf life of eggs from organic laying hens at different ages, considering the external and internal quality of the egg. The eggs were collected in a farm with certification of organic production of the municipality of Viamão - RS. The experimental design was completely randomized in factorial 6x4 - 6 posture ages x 4 storage periods. A total of 288 eggs were collected at different ages (40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 weeks), and quality evaluations were performed at zero (day of collection), 14, 28 and 42 days of storage. Each storage period had 12 replicates and the eggs were stored in a room with humidity control (70 ± 4%) and temperature (14 ± 2 ° C) The eggs were weighed on the day of collection and on the evaluation days to identify weight loss throughout storage. The variables analyzed were: egg weight, Haugh unit, albumen height, albumen percentage, egg yolk and egg shell, albumen foam stability, shell thickness, albumen pH and egg weight loss. There was interaction between the age of the fowl and the storage period (P <0.05) of the evaluated treatments on egg weight loss. Young laying hens (40 weeks of age) show better internal quality of eggs with lower quality losses when compared to birds at 50 and 60 weeks of age during storage for up to 42 days. The stability of albumen foam is best in older birds. The pH of the albumen is not affected by the age of laying hens, but presents a significant increase in longer periods of storage. The shelf life of organic production eggs can be extended up to 42 days of storage. Eggs from older laying hens have superior internal quality in the first days of storage, but with high susceptibility of losses during storage for up to 42 days.
