From photographs of Campinas produced by the photographer Hélio de Oliveira and the combination of these with the oral documentation, it is considered the forms of construction over the years, the feeling of belonging, training and consolidation of the identity of the residents of Campinas, municipality that, in mid-1930, has been incorporated to Goiânia, capital of the new State of Goiás, coming to be one of the neighborhoods in the subsequent decades. Key-words: Campinas, Goiânia, photographs, memory, identity, soccer, goianiense athletic club, Hélio de Oliveira. / A utilização de fotografias conjugadas a relatos orais resgata a trajetória histórica de grupos sociais específicos. A partir das fotografias de Campinas produzidas pelo fotógrafo Hélio de Oliveira e da associação dessas à documentação oral, considera-se as formas de construção, ao longo dos anos, do sentimento de pertencimento, da formação e da consolidação da identidade dos moradores de Campinas, município que, em meados de 1930, foi incorporado a Goiânia, nova capital do Estado de Goiás, vindo a se constituir como um de seus bairros nas décadas subseqüentes.
