Chemins et animaux : applications de la théorie des empilements de pièces

Bacher, Axel 28 October 2011 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to prove enumerative results on some classes of lattice walks and animals. These results are applications of the theory of heaps of pieces developed by Viennot. We study discrete excursions (or generalized Dyck paths) with bounded height; we obtain enumerative results that give a combinatorial interpretation and extend results by Banderier, Flajolet and Bousquet-Mélou. We describe and enumerate several classes of self-avoiding walks called weakly directed walks. These classes are larger than the class of prudent walks, the largest natural class enumerated so far. We compute the average site perimeter of directed animals, proving conjectures by Conway and Le Borgne. Finally, we obtain new results on the enumeration of Klarner animals and multi-directed animals defined by Bousquet-Mélou and Rechnitzer.

Vodní režim rekultivovaných a nerekultivovaných výsypek / Water regime of reclaimed and nonreclaimed heaps

Cejpek, Jiří January 2011 (has links)
Summary: Great Podkrusnohorska spoil heaps in the Sokolov region in Western Bohemia is the largest spoil heaps in the Czech Republic, which was pour million tonnes of overburden soil surface mining of brown coal. The thesis is setting on the basic characteristics of the water regime and water balance of spoil heap soil and thus follows a series of previous works dealing with the comparative development of the reclaimed and unreclaimed area. The areas are long-term monitoring of soil moisture using a dielectric soil moisture meter total water regime was monitored by subsurface with gravitation lyzimeter, runoff and throughfall rainfall. Older unreclaimed plots as well as reclaimed plots have higher porosity, water field capacity and moistre than young sites, however there are limited by water deficiency in similatr way as young sites due to increase in wilting point. Keywords: Spoil heaps, Recultivation, Soil humidity, Water supply, Water balance

Mikrobiální aktivita hlubinných miocénních sedimentů Sokolovské hnědouhlené pánve / Microbial activity of deep subsurphace miocen sediments near Soklov

Galertová, Renata January 2012 (has links)
In my diploma thesis I observed microbial activity in Miocene sediments collected at two different depths - 30 and 150 meters - in the "Družba" open-mine pit, which is located in Sokolov Brown Coal Basin. There were three different types of sediment: lamellar, amorphous and transitional. Samples were obtained under sterile conditions and following treatments were applied to the transitional sediment: addition of glucose, wetting and freezing. The aim of my study was to observe the activity of the original microflora at various depths and the impact of environmental factors that can affect the quarried claystones after being put on heaps. Microbial activity was evaluated by measuring released CO2 (titration). Obtained values of microbial activity did not show any differences between the respiration of sediments of different ages (depths), but differences between different types of sediments were significant, the highest values were found in lamellar sediment. Affection of samples then showed biota activity response suggesting that microbial communities at lower depths are limited by nutrients. Because the application of glucose did not show any noteworthy effect, we can assume that these communities are specialize on present fossil organic matter they are able to decompose, which is important especially in...

Gränser i livet - gränser i landskapet : Generationsrelationer och rituella praktiker i södermanländska bronsålderslandskap

Thedéen, Susanne January 2004 (has links)
This thesis deals with issues relating to the cosmological dimensions of landscapes, the cultural construction of age and the long-term changes in passage rituals and mortuary practices in the Bronze Age societies of Södermanland in East Central Sweden. A gender perspective forms the underlying theoretical framework, while the study as a whole is particularly interested in power relations between generations as an impetus for societal change. Burials from cairns and cemeteries, as well as heaps of fire-cracked stones, rock-carvings and ritual hoards from two Bronze Age Landscapes in Södermanland are used as examples and to illustrate the interpretations presented in this study. It is proposed that perceptions of landscapes and cosmology were created by placing cairns and stone settings at liminal places or boundaries in the landscape, while heaps of fire-cracked stones were situated at focal points. Places where rock-carvings are found, nearby rapids or on islands along river courses, are interpreted as birth-places, and stem from origin myths about the birth of the first humans at these sites. It is proposed that birth, life and death as cosmological principles may be perceived in the landscape and are related to different kinds of waters. In addition, it is suggested that the cultural construction of age is expressed in spatial terms where adults - both men and women - with special abilities and esoteric knowledge related to passage rituals, were buried in cairns. Infants, whose relationship with these adults was special, were instead buried in the heaps of fire-cracked stones. It is also considered that, among other things, the absence of swords in burials implies that the societies of East Central Sweden probably had a social organization that was distinct from the societies of southern Scandinavia. Regarding long-term changes in ritual practices it is suggested that ritual tools used in mortuary practices change from flint daggers in the Late Neolithic, to razors and tweezers during the Bronze Age. Further changes occurred in the Late Bronze Age, when pins were introduced into the ritual practices. Regarding age and gender, osteological estimates show that both adult men and women participated in passage rituals. With the transition to pins we also see changes in who dealt with passage rituals and it is rather young women who were responsible for this sphere in the later period. As children also become visible - both in burials and at rock-carving sites – during the Late Bronze Age, this is interpreted as signalling shifts in power relations between genders and generations in favour of women and younger people.

Verifikace Programů se složitými datovými strukturami / Harnessing Forest Automata for Verification of Heap Manipulating Programs

Šimáček, Jiří Unknown Date (has links)

Aplikace Ramanovy spektrometrie pro detekci sulfátů hořících uhelných hald / Application of Raman spectroscopy for detection of sulfates of self-ignited coal heaps

Košek, Filip January 2018 (has links)
This Ph.D. thesis was focused on the application of Raman spectroscopy as the main analytical method for the characterization of neo-formed minerals, notably sulfates, from burning coal waste dumps. This environment associated with subsurface fires gives rise to a variety of uncommon and rare minerals. The specific features of these minerals (metastability, hygroscopy, mixed aggregates) causes that the mineralogical investigation is a challenging task using traditional laboratory-based techniques. Advantages such as the non-destructive nature, the sensitivity to the changes in the hydration degree of sulfates, little or none pretreatment, and the option of measurements directly in the field were the main reasons for applying this spectroscopy method. The scarce availability of spectroscopic data of most gas-vent minerals can be considered as the disadvantage. Therefore, artificial prepared samples of six anhydrous sulfates, which are rarely found in nature, were analyzed by Raman laboratory spectroscopy and a miniature a Raman spectrometer, and specific Raman features as well the differences with hydrated counterparts are shown. Laboratory investigation of two natural hydrated aluminum sulfates, alunogen and khademite, were carried out using Raman spectroscopy and other methods in order to obtain...

Diversity of the soil microbial community and its functional aspects in man-influenced environments / Diversity of the soil microbial community and its functional aspects in man-influenced environments

CHROŇÁKOVÁ, Alica January 2009 (has links)
Diversity of the soil microbial community and its functional aspects were investigated in man-influenced environments, such as colliery spoil heaps in post mining sites and upland pasture used for outdoor cattle husbandry. The study was based on the cultivation of bacteria and streptomycetes as well as culture-independent approaches. Cultivated bacteria and streptomycetes were characterized by phenotypic and genotypic means. The culture-independent approaches were based on an analysis of environmental DNA in terms of both qualitative and quantitative parameters.

Vodní režim půd rekultivovaných a nerekultivovaných výsypek po těžbě uhlí / Soil water regime of reclaimed and unreclaimed post mining heaps

Cejpek, Jiří January 2018 (has links)
This PhD thesis compares the water regime of reclaimed and unreclaimed spoil heaps after brown coal mining, with special regard to the development of hydrological properties of soils, which are determinant for the movement and retention of water in the soil. The basic influence on the supply of soil water has the technology of pouring the spoil heaps and aging, which co-regulates the development of vegetation. During the development of soil's spoil heaps increases field water capacity and water retention, but also increases the wilting point. These changes are related to the accumulation of organic matter in the soil and the degradation of claystones to particle size of physical clay. The development of the ability of the spoil heaps soils to bind water is greater in reclaimed areas, where the upper organomineral horizon develops more rapidly, but there is also a wilting point and water consumption. On unreclaimed area, the soil substrate develops more slowly. Overall, the differences in water regime between reclaimed and unreclaimed areas are small.
