O estudo buscou responder, a partir da analise de três obras mais pontuadas pela avaliação do MEC, a seguinte questão: Como os livros didáticos de História produzem conhecimento acerca da Educação Ambiental no ensino fundamental brasileiro? Esse estudo teve como referencial teórico norteador os estudos de Foucault, Benjamim e Guattari. Com essa pesquisa buscou-se, além dos discursos sobre a Educação Ambiental, evidenciar a forma de apresentação que os conteúdos históricos buscam atender: uma forma linear e evolutiva dos acontecimentos que abarcam os fatos de maneira homogênea (História Global) ou uma história que busca os acontecimentos singulares, que provocam fendas na linearidade das abordagens tradicionais (História Geral). Considerando-se que a abordagem dos conteúdos produz subjetividade acerca dos fatos históricos e do meio ambiente, a partir desses referencias percebeu-se que a história volta-se para a globalização dos fatos mediados por transmissão de informação que pouco estimula valores e reflexões acerca do presente e da Educação Ambiental. / This Master in Environmental Education dissertation has as study focus the discourses related to Environmental Education in history school books for the 5th (elementary school of 8 years) or 6th (elementary school of 9 years) grades. In this study we seek to answer the following question: How do history school books produce knowledge about Environmental Education in Brazilian elementary school teaching? The theoretical references for the study were the studies of Foucault, Benjamin and Guattari. We analyzed three books appointed by the Ministry of Education with the best scores in their evaluations. With this research we sought, besides the discourses about Environmental Education, to demonstrate which form of presentation the historical contents try to meet: a linear and evolutionary form of the events which encompasses the facts in a homogeneous way (Global History) or a history that looks for the singular events, which provoke gaps in the linearity of the traditional approaches (General History). We consider that the approach of the contents produces subjetivity about the historical facts and the Environmental. By sketching these references, we perceive that history turn itself towards the globalization of the facts mediated by transmission of information, that do not stimulate values and reflections about the present and about Environmental Education.

This introductory article presents the objectives, scope and contents of the Special Issue titled Labor Migration and Commodity Production in Africa: Global Entanglements. By congregating a diverse team of scholars from Brazil, Turkey, Germany, France, the United States, and Cameroon, all at different stages of their careers, this Special Issue seeks to build upon current trends in the fields of Global and African History to expand our current understanding of the centrality of African subjects in the making of the contemporary, densely globalized yet deeply unequal world. This introduction sets the theoretical framework that guided our call for papers, summarizes the key findings of each article, and situate their individual contributions within the topics related to the agency of African subjects in the creation of increasingly interconnected societies. We argue that the articles in this Special Issue offer a path to further strengthen and expand both fields of African and Global History by incorporating the analysis of understudied sources from diverse linguistic backgrounds, such as Arabic, Turkish, Portuguese and German, as well as legal documents produced by contemporary African states. / Este artigo introdutório apresenta os objetivos, o escopo e o conteúdo do Dossiê Temático intitulado Migração Laboral e Produção de Commodities na África: Conexões Globais. Ao congregar uma equipe diversificada de estudiosos oriundos do Brasil, Turquia, Alemanha, França, Estados Unidos, e Camarões, todos em diferentes estágios de suas carreiras, este Dossiê Temático se alicerça sobre tendências atuais nos campos da História Global e da África para expandir nossa compreensão sobre a centralidade de sujeitos africanos na formação do mundo contemporâneo – densamente globalizado, mas profundamente desigual. Esta introdução estabelece o enquadramento teórico que orientou nossa chamada de artigos, resume os principais achados de cada artigo e situa suas contribuições individuais dentro da temática relativa à agência de sujeitos africanos na criação de sociedades cada vez mais interconectadas. Argumentamos que os artigos deste Dossiê Temático oferecem um caminho para fortalecer e expandir ambos os campos da História da África e Global, incorporando a análise de fontes pouco estudadas de diferentes procedências linguísticas, como árabe, turco, português e alemão, bem como documentos legais produzidos por estados africanos contemporâneos.
