Automatisering av manuell montering - Hjulbana

Mohidin, Daniar January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis work was to investigate the technichal prerequisites of an automated solution for a manual assembly of wheel conveyors at the company "Seabased". The company is based in Lysekil and are currently developing and producing linear generators, one of the vital components for this kind of generator is the wheel conveyor. The mounting today was early described as both risky and slow, hence the need of this study. The study was primarily based on a prestudy which involved a field trip to the factory in Lysekil. That was when the purpose of the wheel conveyor began to clear up. Using a method of "Concept scoring", three different concepts were made up. Using this method, one of the concepts were chosen for further developing. The chosen concept was then made into a simulation using the program Robotstudio and the main moments of it was later tested by a real robot. In conclusion, the study shows that a simulation of a concept could indeed prove that the assembly work for the wheel conveyor could be automated. It was also presented as a safer alternative to the current method. The total cost of the automated solution could later on be calculated and presented.
