In this context the work was focused on the analysis of the kind of communication established between the managing teams of six public schools of São Paulo and their communities throug the sites created by the managers during their participation on the project and made avaible on the Internet. During these two years process, information was obteined by analysing the sites, questionaries answered by the managers and by establishing focal groups. The data were analyzed in the light of theoretical references related to questions like participation, the use of thecnologies inside the school and the legislation of the Secretary of Education of São Paulo State, that rules the issues referred to herein. The participation of the school´s managing team on the ICT for Principal Project enabled the creation of the sites inserted on the Internet. The implementation of these sites occurred because the managing team remained at the school and changed their posture by assuming the coordination of the process together with the other members of the school community. On the other hand, the high rotativity of the managing team members and back of availability of technological resources like computers with Internet access at schools were factors that made the site implementation in the community rather difficut. Following the phase of site implementation, the managing teams obtained the participation of the community only in pedagogical matters and events; the participation at Parents and Teachers Association and the Schoool Council did not increase. The community did not consider the site avaiable on the Internet as a space where they could post their doubts regarding their daily life, thus surpassing the issues related to the school, Consequently, the managing team did not proceed with the discussion of the problems referred to the matter and took distance to the community / O Projeto Gestão Escolar e Tecnologias, encomendado pela Secretaria Estadual de Educação e concebido pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo em parceria com a Microsoft, visou desenvolver um trabalho de formação de gestores para o uso das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação na gestão escolar e no cotidiano da escola. Neste contexto, este trabalho de pesquisa teve como foco a análise do tipo de comunicação estabelecida entre as equipes gestoras de seis escolas estaduais de São Paulo e a sua comunidade, através de páginas web criadas pelos gestores nos sites de suas escolas e disponibilizadas na Internet, durante a sua participação no projeto. Ao longo do processo de 2 anos, as informações foram obtidas através da análise das páginas, de questionários aplicados aos gestores e pela realização de grupos focais. Os dados foram analisados à luz de referenciais teóricos que tratam de questões como a participação, o uso de tecnologias no interior da escola e a legislação que fundamenta as ações da Secretaria de Educação do Estado de São Paulo nestes aspectos. A participação da equipe gestora das escolas no Projeto Gestão Escolar e Tecnologias viabilizou a criação de páginas inseridas na Internet. A implementação destas páginas ocorreu devido à permanência da equipe gestora na escola e a sua mudança de postura ao assumir a coordenação do processo junto aos demais membros da comunidade escolar. Por outro lado, a alta rotatividade dos membros das equipes gestoras e a indisponibilidade de recursos tecnológicos, como computadores com acesso à Internet nas escolas foram os fatores que dificultaram a implementação das páginas junto à comunidade. Depois da fase de implementação da página, as equipes gestoras obtiveram a participação da comunidade apenas em questões pedagógicas e eventos; a participação na Associação de Pais e Mestres e no Conselho de Escola, não aumentou. A comunidade não considerou a página disponibilizada na Internet como um espaço no qual poderia postar dúvidas relacionadas ao seu cotidiano, pois isso extrapolaria as questões da escola; desta forma, a equipe gestora não promoveu nenhuma discussão de problemas do seu entorno, mantendo-se distante da comunidade
