We had reflect on the importance of imagery information in the construction of memories, realizing the photography as support of memories, as traces of many social networks maintained by individuals and as a indiciary sign according to semiotics of Peirce. Our work proposes to make the documentary representation of the material searched, as proposed by the Information Science, after all, occurred the documentary research and mapping of the configurations formed (concept used by Norbert Elias) and represented in thephotographs. We had as reference on memory, among others, Paul Ricoeur; on imagery information we use the considerations of Jacques Aumont; on sociability networks we had the structural notion of web of human relationships , as proposed by Norbert Elias; dialogued about photography, among other with Phillipe Dubois, the author who made the connection with the semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce, a philosopher to whom we report. / Essa pesquisa teve como objetivo estudar as informações imagéticas contidas no conjunto de fotografias pertencentes ao arquivo privado pessoal de José Simeão Leal e, a partir delas, refazer as redes de sociabilidade nas quais esse editor estava inserido. Buscou-se refletir sobre a importância das informações imagéticas na construção de memórias, compreendendo este registro como suporte de memórias, vestígio das inúmeras redes de sociabilidade mantidas pelos indivíduos e como signo indiciário de acordo com a semiótica peirceana. Nosso trabalho se propôs a realizar a representação documentária do material pesquisado, como proposto pela Ciência da Informação, partindo em seguida para a pesquisa documental e mapeamentodas configurações formadas, conceito utilizado por Norbert Elias (1994) e representadas no registro fotográfico. Tivemos como referênciasobre memória, entre outros, Paul Ricoeur (2007); sobre informação imagética buscamos as considerações de Jacques Aumont (2010); sobre redes de sociabilidades tivemos como conceito estruturante a noção de teia humana de relações , como proposto por Norbert Elias; sobre fotografia dialogamos, entre outros, com PhillipeDubois (2010), autor que faz a conexão com a semiótica de Charles SandersPeirce (1977), filósofo ao qual nos reportamos.
