Para tanto, a análise das memórias foi o meio privilegiado para a compreensão desses elementos estruturantes em suas construções identitárias. Em grande medida, percebeu-se que o conflito entre Israel e Palestina e as proscrições e prescrições quanto ao gênero são os aspectos centrais, embora não exclusivos, para a conformação de uma auto-identificação como "palestina", "refugiada", "árabe" ou mesmo "brasileira" entre essas mulheres. É importante ressaltar que os elementos acionados e reforçados pelas palestinas não se devem a aspectos constitutivos de uma "cultura árabe", mas a construções que se desenvolvem em confrontos com alteridades específicas que despertam para distintas representações. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The main objective of the present dissertation is to perceive how palestinian womenimmigrants and the first generation of descents born in Brazil – construct their identities in Brasilia. In order to do that, the analysis of memories was the privileged instrument to comprehend these structuring elements in their identitarian constructions. In a lot of ways, we perceive that the conflict between Israel and Palestine as well as the prescriptions and proscriptions of gender are the main aspects, even though they are not the only ones, to conform a self-identification as "palestine", "refugee", "arab" or even "brazilian" among those women. It is important to underline that the elements actioned and reinforced by the Palestine women are not due to constitutive aspects of an "arab culture". On the contrary, these constructions are built during the processes of confrontations between specific alterities, which awake to different representations.
