This diploma thesis analyses the marketing strategy of RALU, s.r.o. company which operates in the field of international transport and forwarding. The theoretical part is elaborated from the standpoint of the analysis of external and internal organization's environment, marketing strategy and different parts of the marketing mix. The practical part, which is based on theoretical knowledge included in the first part, contains the general characteristic of the company RALU, the position within its competitive environment, analysis of its existing marketing mix and particularly the quantitative research. Based on the results of the conducted research the conclusion deals with the evaluation of the current marketing strategy of the company and it recommends some potential improvements for changes.

It sums up the obstacles that negatively affect the competitiveness of railways and how the European Union copes with this issue. The practical part of the thesis focuses on long-distance rail services, such as night trains and car trains. It includes an analysis of the services provided by two European rail operators and seeks to provide an insight into the customer decision-making process between rail and car transportation.

When companies learned that logistics can be used to achieve strategic goals, it ceased to be perceived only as a source of necessary costs that need to be controlled. In this dissertation the potential benefits of selected sources of long term competitive advantage are questioned. The research in the dissertation focuses on international transport of goods, its employment and organization, and on how logistics capabilities can be employed to increase customer satisfaction and thus the competitive advantage of the entire supply chain. The potential sources of long term competitive advantage are cooperation and information sharing among firms in the international supply chain. The author hypothesised that cooperation and information sharing are positively related to logistics capabilities. Logistics capabilities are hypothesised to be positively related to customer satisfaction. To capture the impact of external environment, the lead time uncertainty and the demand uncertainty have been included in the model. The impact of modern information technologies on supply chain management has not been disregarded and information technologies serve as moderating variable in the model. The proposed model is based on the Transaction costs theory and the Resource-Based View. The qualitative research method of case studies had been selected and used to support the model. The research involves three cases. Interviews with professionals, company sources and secondary data mainly academy journals, supply chain management literature and web pages of selected companies and international institutions provided the foundation for the research. The contribution of this dissertation is in including the impact of the external forces in the model, in focusing on the relationships that a firm has with its supply chain partners, and in an in-depth analysis of relationships among triad of subjects -- buyer, seller and logistics service provider. Also, a new definition of logistics capabilities has been proposed. Examples of real situations of organization of international transportation of goods are presented. Cooperation and information sharing can serve as sources of long term competitive advantage, but their implementation is in many cases limited due to varied reasons. The size of the firm is in some cases one of them, other limitations are named in the text. Suggestions for practitioners are included.

The main theme of this diploma thesis is a detailed analysis of the actual transportation situation in RF and Volgogradskiy region. The role of transportation as an important part of the national economy has been drastically undermined by the Russian government, therefore since the USSR dissolution transportation in RF has been only regressing. The first chapters deal with the actual state of the Russian transportation system and the possibilities of integration with the international transportation corridors. Further, we will suggest a detailed profiling of the transportation system's development and the actual situation with transportation in the Volgogradskiy region. In conclusion, we will evaluate the perspectives of logistics as a science and positioning logistics as an economic management industry.

Emphasis is placed mainly on road safety, which is ensured by legislative provisions governing the conditions for the transport of oversized cargo. In particular, a variety of security measures such as coordination of the operation with the requirements of different organizations, or for the fees and charges for exceeding the limit size and weight. The benefit of this document will become an overview of the legal standards applicable to the various destinations (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus), for Czech carrier use. Using this information, should be provide quality transportation services for oversized shipments.

En el comercio internacional de bienes y servicios, las agencias de carga internacional desempeñan un rol de alta importancia, estableciendo un nexo comercial y operativo entre las empresas exportadoras y las compañías navieras, logrando por medio del mismo, fortalecer la cadena de suministro mediante la re–venta de fletes como actividad principal en transporte internacional de cargas, siendo esta a su vez, complementada por otras actividades como los servicios de agenciamiento aduanero, transporte local, estiba de carga y emisión documentaria, los cuales forman parte de un concepto de servicio denominado operación logística integral. El servicio de fletes comprende la negociación de espacios y contenedores, para brindar un medio seguro de comercio a los exportadores en sus embarques contenerizados, priorizando los factores de calidad, tiempos de servicio y precios competitivos en base a los volúmenes de carga a transportar y la ruta comercial. Russia is one of the largest participants of world commodity exchange. From 2005 to 2013 the volume of foreign trade turnover grew steadily, but in the next two years there was a decrease in trade turnover: in 2014 by 8%, and in 2015 by 37.7%. The subject of the theses is to assess the impact of the level of development of the ITC infrastructure on the efficiency of Russia's foreign trade activities. The main objectives of the study are: analysis of the patterns of development of pan-European and Euro-Asian ITCs; development of the principles for the formation and development of infrastructure facilities of the ITC, as well as a system of legal and organizational measures; determination of the factors of an effective ITC system in the territory of Russia; determination of the most significant indicators of the development of the ITC in the territory of Russia; development of recommendations for the development of the ITC infrastructure in order to improve the efficiency of Russia's foreign trade. The object of the study is the aggregate of international transport corridors on the territory of the Russian Federation. The subject – the generation of the characteristics of the ITC infrastructure on the territory of Russia, as a factor of influence on the efficiency of foreign trade. The scientific novelty of the work performed is to assess the factors of the functioning of the ITC infrastructure, which have a negative impact on the volume of Russia's foreign trade turnover in 2014-2015. The practical significance of the study is to determine the direction of the long-term development of the ITC system on the territory of Russia in the medium and long term; development of proposals for the development of the infrastructure of certain modes of transport included in the ITC; development of recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of state regulation of the process of forming the ITC in the country. / Россия является одним из крупнейших участников мирового товарообмена. С 2005 по 2013 гг. объем внешнеторгового оборота неуклонно рос, однако в последующие два года наблюдалось снижение товарооборота: в 2014 г. на 8%, а в 2015 г. на 37,7%. Целью диссертационного исследования является оценка влияния уровня развития инфраструктуры МТК на эффективность внешнеторговой деятельности России. Основными задачами исследования являются: анализ закономерностей развития панъевропейских и евроазиатских МТК; разработка принципов формирования и развития объектов инфраструктуры МТК, а также системы мероприятий правового и организационного характера; определение факторов эффективной системы МТК на территории России; определение наиболее значимых показателей развития МТК на территории России; разработка рекомендаций по развитию инфраструктуры МТК с целью повышения эффективности внешнеторговой деятельности России. Объект исследования – совокупность международных транспортных коридоров на территории Российской Федерации. Предмет – совокупность характеристик инфраструктуры МТК на территории России, как фактор влияния на эффективность внешнеторговой деятельности. Научная новизна выполненной работы состоит в оценке факторов функционирования инфраструктуры МТК, оказывающих негативное влияние на объем внешнеторгового оборота России в 2014-2015 гг. Diploma thesis called Entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in times of state interventionism and dirigisme. Josef Hégr (1896 - 1971) focuses on the aspects of entrepreneurial experience, background and corporate engagement of Josef Hégr, a native of Chotětov (a small rural village located near Mladá Boleslav). The graduate of the business academy was going up from being a bureaucrat in charge of accounting in the international business company called Balkan - a company for trade and industry, to becoming a co-owner of this joint-stock company. Later he continuously worked as a co-owner of the joint-stock company Czech International Transport Company Karlík and Co. until 1948. Josef Hégr became a Czech entrepreneur in transport and agriculture and in the 1930s after he had bought the manor of Horky nad Jizerou and related businesses. His business activities were escalating during the Second World War. And, he worked in national Czech companies where he defended national Czech interests. Concerning the Czech entrepreneurship, he tried to protect much from the occupation forces, and became a crisis manager. All his entrepreneurial activities ceased to exist after the beginning of Communist regime. The entrepreneur was marginalised within people- democratic society.
