The diploma thesis deals with a financial situation evaluation of Ložiska VILIM, spol. s r. o. in years 2005 – 2008. It contains a performed financial analysis including its evaluation. Based on it, arrangements leading to the improvement of a financial health of the company were proposed.

This diploma thesis focuses on stock management and related issues in the automotive industry. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part discusses general concepts of logistics and stock management. There are described patterns of production and its connection to the warehouse and logistics issues and more. The practical part focuses on a specific environment of companies operating in the automotive industry and describes its parts and logistics processes that are somehow related to the stock management. The practical part is also more elaborated on Aftermarket issues.

This master’s thesis is focused on problems within the financial situation in one specific company. At the beginning the chosen methods of evaluation of company financial performance are introduced. Afterwards the thesis performs the practical evaluation of specific company financial performance based on the information taken from financial statements and other non public reports. The target of this master’s thesis is to perform the financial analysis of specific company and proposal of its improvement. This target is reached in final part of the master’s thesis.

This Master´s thesis is focus on the evaluation of performance and financial health of the REDA corporation from 2006 to 2010. In the practical part of thesis is perfomed analysis of the company and financial analysis and a comparison of its results with three competing companies. The target of this master´s thesis is suggestions to improve and to conserve company performace.

This diploma thesis is covering a task of conducting a financial analysis for a certain company. The company which has been chosen is Pleas a.s. and the analysis has been elaborated for a period of time between years 2008 and 2012. The outcome of the theses is to provide some solutions and recommendations to eliminate or decrease the limiting financial factors which have been discovered while analyzing the company. All the findings will enhance financial health of the company Pleas a.s.

This thesis deals with the optimization of the supply process of a small business, especially with determining the optimal inventory level and demand forecasting, using tools of time series analysis. The final part gives a description of the creation of the program that is used to calculate individual indicators and forecasts. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the supply process, thereby reducing operating costs of the company.

La presente tesis se realizó en una empresa del rubro maderero que se dedica a la fabricación y comercialización de mueblería de estilo en cedro y caoba. En el desarrollo del presente proyecto, se identificó mediante herramientas como el diagrama de Pareto y el diagrama de árbol las causas que generan la baja productividad. Por ello, se propone un plan de mejora en la gestión de inventario utilizando la clasificación ABC multicriterio en el área de almacén de productos terminados, además de proporcionar un orden y disciplina mediante la metodología de las 5S. Con su implementación del método ABC como de la metodología de las 5S, se logró incrementar la eficiencia, eficacia y productividad de la empresa, donde el estudio se realizó trece meses antes y dos meses después de la implementación. Teniendo una productividad promedio antes de la aplicación del 55% y después de la aplicación se contaba con el 70% logrando así un incremento del 15%. / The present thesis was carried out in a company of the wood industry that is dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of style furniture in cedar and mahogany. In the development of the present project, the causes that generate the low productivity were identified by means of tools like the Pareto diagram and the tree diagram. Therefore, a plan for improving inventory management is proposed using the multi-criteria ABC classification in the finished product warehouse area, in addition to providing order and discipline through the 5S methodology. Through the implementation of the ABC method as well as the 5S methodology, the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of the company was increased. The study was carried out thirteen months before and two months after the implementation. Having an average productivity before the implementation of 55% and after the implementation was 70%, achieving an increase of 15%. / Trabajo de Suficiencia Profesional

Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP) es una metodología que permite optimizar el flujo de materiales, en la gestión de inventarios. En este artículo, se presenta una investigación de la metodología DDMRP en una planta de procesamiento minero no metálico de Lima, Perú. El propósito de esta investigación es desarrollar un modelo de gestión de inventarios enfocado al cumplimiento del nivel de servicio, garantizando una eficaz inversión del capital en existencias con un apoyo sustancial de métodos de pronósticos de demanda y la metodología de planificación de materiales DDMRP. Los resultados de la empresa en estudio muestran una reducción de los niveles de inventario en 46.27%, al mismo tiempo que se mejoran los indicadores logísticos como cobertura y rotación. / Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP) is a methodology that allows optimizing the flow of materials, in inventory management. In this article, an investigation of the DDMRP methodology in a non-metallic mining processing plant in Lima, Peru is presented. The purpose of this research is to develop an inventory management model focused on service level compliance, guaranteeing an effective investment of capital in stocks with substantial support from demand forecasting methods and the DDMRP materials planning methodology. The results of the company under study show a reduction in inventory levels by 46.27%, while logistics indicators such as coverage and turnover are improved. / Trabajo de investigación

El emprendimiento es una tendencia a nivel global y el Perú no es ajeno a esto. Nuestro país ocupa el quinto puesto a nivel mundial con emprendimientos en etapa temprana, de acuerdo con el Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Perú, el cual es desarrollado por el Centro de Desarrollo de Emprendimientos de la universidad de ESAN. De acuerdo con Mi Banco, entidad financiera encargada de financiar a las medianas, pequeñas y microempresas comenta, que muchos de los emprendedores no cuentan con una adecuada gestión de inventarios. Incluso, algunos lo consideran poco relevante, para su giro de negocio por el tamaño de su empresa. En el presente estudio se propuso como objetivo principal crear una herramienta que permita a los emprendedores tener una mejor gestión de inventarios e insumos, acorde a estas bases se creó Logistic. Identificamos que muchos emprendedores no consideran importante la gestión de inventarios por considerarse pequeñas empresas. Además, muchas herramientas similares tienen costos muy altos para sus necesidades, por lo que este segmento de clientes lo señala como un gasto más que como una inversión que pueda generar rentabilidad. Por ello, con un precio accesible para el mercado objetivo, buscamos obtener retroalimentación de los clientes potenciales, permitiéndonos conocer con mayor detalle sus requerimientos. Además, se han agregado informes periódicos a la aplicación para que puedan comprender más fácilmente el desarrollo de su negocio. Luego de realizar un minucioso estudio de mercado, soporte matemático y proyecciones, se pudo elaborar el presente trabajo. / Entrepreneurship is a global trend and Peru is no stranger to this. Our country ranks fifth in the world with startups in the initial stage, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Peru, which is developed by the Center for the Development of Entrepreneurship of the University of ESAN. On the other hand, Mi Banco, a financial institution in charge of financing medium, small and micro-enterprises, comments that many of the entrepreneurs do not have adequate inventory management. Some do not even consider it relevant, for their line of business, due to the small size of their company. The main objective of this study was to create a tool that allows entrepreneurs to have a better management of inventories and supplies, in accordance with these bases "LOGISTIC" was created. It was identified that many entrepreneurs do not consider inventory management important because they are small companies. In addition, many similar tools have very high costs for their needs, which is why this customer segment indicates it as an expense rather than an investment that can generate profitability. Therefore, with an accessible price for the target market, we seek to obtain feedback from potential customers, allowing us to know their requirements in greater detail.
