For this purpose, I performed an analysis of content, as described by Bardin (2009), using as a basis for this analysis the contents of Elementary Theory of Numbers, listed by Resende (2007) in his thesis. The relevance of the study subjects of this theory lies in the contribution it can make to the development mathematical, as shown, conjecture, generalize, test and validate the conjecture and diversify strategies for solving problems involving whole numbers. For the analysis of the material, it was found that it showed some activities promoting the study of the Elementary Theory of Numbers in the 1st term, but in other marking periods and the Official Student's priority is to work with the Mathematics of Continuous / Neste trabalho apresento uma pesquisa qualitativa orientada pelo objetivo de investigar quais e como assuntos relativos à Teoria Elementar dos Números são abordados no material endereçado aos professores do 1º ano do Ensino Médio de 2008 da rede estadual paulista. Para tal intento, realizei uma análise de conteúdo, segundo descrito por Bardin (2009), utilizando como base para tal análise os conteúdos da Teoria Elementar dos Números, listados por Resende (2007) em sua tese. A relevância do estudo de assuntos desta Teoria reside na contribuição que esta pode dar ao desenvolvimento do fazer matemático, como demonstrar, conjecturar, generalizar, testar e validar as conjecturas, bem como diversificar estratégias para resolução de problemas que envolvam números inteiros. Pela análise do material, constatou-se que este apresentou atividades favorecendo o estudo da Teoria Elementar dos Números no 1º bimestre, porém nos demais bimestres e no Jornal do Aluno privilegia-se o trabalho com a Matemática do Contínuo
