Raktažodžių atpažinimas lietuvių kalbos tekste / Keywords extraction in Lithuanian language

Beleckis, Pavelas 15 June 2011 (has links)
Be to antroje darbo dalyje aptarti ir įvertinti lietuviško prototipo testavimo rezultatai, o darbo gale aptartos tolimesnės atlikto darbo perspektyvos. / Information is the most powerful weapon in the modern society. Every day we are overflowed with a huge amount of data and sometimes it is hard to filter data to get some information for reaching goals. Information retrieval methods could help to extract information from data flows. One of the methods is covered in this term paper. Topic of the Master Thesis – keywords extraction in Lithuanian language. The paper is organized as follows. The first section reviews the keywords extraction problem and defines major methods used in extraction process. It also covers main fields where keywords extraction is successfully used or could be used for better performance. This is followed by a short review of keywords extraction tools. Analysis covers all the modules needed for using keywords extraction methods in Lithuanian language and the structure of Lithuanian keywords extraction prototype. Besides that, term paper discusses prototype’s testing results and suggestions for further development.

Fay's identity in the theory of integrable systems

Kalla, Caroline 27 June 2011 (has links) (PDF)
Fay's identity on Riemann surfaces is a powerful tool in the context of algebro-geometric solutions to integrable equations. This relation generalizes a well-known identity for the cross-ratio function in the complex plane. It allows to establish relations between theta functions and their derivatives. This offers a complementary approach to algebro-geometric solutions of integrable equations with certain advantages with respect to the use of Baker-Akhiezer functions. It has been successfully applied by Mumford et al. to the Korteweg-de Vries, Kadomtsev-Petviashvili and sine-Gordon equations. Following this approach, we construct algebro-geometric solutions to the Camassa-Holm and Dym type equations, as well as solutions to the multi-component nonlinear Schrödinger equation and the Davey-Stewartson equations. Solitonic limits of these solutions are investigated when the genus of the associated Riemann surface drops to zero. Moreover, we present a numerical evaluation of algebro-geometric solutions of integrable equations when the associated Riemann surface is real.

Synthesis And Characterization Of Thiophen-3-yl-acetic Acid 4-pyrrol-1-yl-phenyl Ester And Its Conducting Polymers

Bingol, Bahar 01 November 2003 (has links) (PDF)
ABSTRACT SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF THIOPHEN-3-YL ACETIC ACID 4-PYRROL-1-YL PHENYL ESTER AND ITS CONDUCTING POLYMERS Bing&ouml / l, Bahar M.Sc., Department of Chemistry Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Levent Toppare November 2003, 54 pages Thiophen-3-yl acetic acid 4-pyrrol-1-yl phenyl ester (TAPE) monomer was synthesized by the reaction of thiophene acetic acid with thionyl chloride, and further reaction of thiophen-3-yl-acetyl chloride with 4-pyrrol-1-yl phenol. Electrochemical behavior of this monomer (TAPE) was determined by cyclic voltammetry. Homopolymers were achieved both by using electrochemical and chemical polymerization techniques. Copolymers of TAPE in the presence of bithiophene and pyrrole were synthesized by potentiostatic electrochemical polymerization in acetonitrile-tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) solvent-electrolyte couple. The chemical structures were confirmed both by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermal Gravimetry Analysis (TGA) were used to examine the thermal behavior of synthesized conducting homopolymers and copolymers. The morphologies of the films were investigated by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Two-probe technique was used to measure the conductivities of the samples. Moreover, investigations of electrochromic and spectroelectrochemical properties of poly(TAPE) and TAPE/BiTh copolymer were done. Keywords: Conducting copolymers, electrochromic properties

The expansion of trademark functions with particular reference to online keywords advertising : the European experience

Rabab'A, Moh'd Ghazi January 2016 (has links)
The primary purpose of a trademark is to facilitate the communication of information between consumers and producers about their products and services to those who wish or need to buy them. The consumer needs to be able to depend on the message the mark conveys to ensure they are purchasing what will fulfil their requirements. In the modern market place, the choice appears endless, and indeed the principles of free trade espoused by the European treaties has heightened the opportunities for cross-national traders to sell their goods, and increased the options available to consumers. When this occurs, so does the availability of information which a purchaser may find the need to seek through to ascertain what he or she wants in an complex and often confusing exercise in differentiation. It is therefore in the interests of producers and customers that those who manufacture goods or provide services develop a mark which identifies their wares and helps provide feedback measured by success; consequently an exchange of information. Consumers are able to make their preferences known via choice, or otherwise, of the mark. Modern business methods and the vast array of marketing opportunities are not only placing the role and function of the trademark at the forefront of consumer protection, but also developing the concept of the mark as an asset of considerable value in itself. This increases its vulnerability to competitive interference and the proposition that it should receive enhanced protection in law. Somewhat perversely, it has resulted in a body of legislation and jurisprudence which lacks cogency and coherence. The purpose of this thesis, accordingly, is to examine the causes thereof by evaluating the current European trademarks protection system to ascertain the contribution they actually make to promotion of free competition and the movement of goods or services upon which that substantial market is predicated. It will examine the impact of the development of protection granted to the trademark with particular reference to the use of online keywords advertising service and focus on the effect of relatively new theories of what functions qualify to be shielded from harm from competitive others. This has expanded beyond the conventional boundaries of source ‘origin’ protection, espoused to primarily protect consumers from confusion in their choice making process. Advertising and investment functions as separate principle are recognised by the Court of Justice of the European Union, but do not appear to qualify for safeguarding in the context of the competitive free market. In fact, it will be shown that giving excessive shelter from harm to all functions which may affect the value of the trademark will limit, even jeopardise, third party competitor and consumer issues. It will inhibit the use of the e-commerce online keywords advertising service which assists third parties to promote alternative competing goods or services and so reduce consumer choice by restriction of online information. It is suggested that proper, clear defences must be guaranteed under the law so third parties may gauge their actions to avoid infringement of trademark owner rights whilst promoting their own products, and accordingly strike the necessary balance between the different competing interests of trademark owners, third parties competitors, and consumers.

Behandlingsmetoder mot övervikt och fetma hos barn

Hansson, Hilda, Simonsson, Madeleine January 2008 (has links)
<p>Overweight and obesity among children and adolescents is increasing. Diseases which earlier occurred exclusively among adults are now also observed among children. There is an urgent need for new treatments that can change this negative trend. The aim of this study was to describe existing treatments for obesity among children in the age of 6-12 and the effect of those treatments. This descriptive literature study is based on 17 research articles published between 2000 and 2007 from different parts in the world. The treatments found in the studies could be categorised as follows: treatment with only physical activity, multidisciplinary treatment, multidisciplinary treatment with family participation, behavioural program with support from parents and alternative medicine treatments. No significant pattern could be observed for the effects of the different treatments. Similar treatments showed different effects, which makes the data difficult to interpret. Good results among the studied treatments were however, often obtained using multidisciplinary programs. Moreover it was shown that support from parents had a positive effect. It is of major importance to adjust the treatment to each individual and to construct the program in such a way that the effect reside also after completion of the treatment.</p>

NEWASH AND TECUMSETH: ANALYSIS OF TWO POST-WAR OF 1812 VESSELS ON THE GREAT LAKES

Gordon, Leeanne E. 16 January 2010 (has links)
In 1953 the tangled, skeletal remains of a ship were pulled from the small harbor of Penetanguishene, Ontario. Local historians had hoped to raise the hull of a War of 1812 veteran, but the vessel pulled from the depths did not meet the criteria. Identified as H.M. Schooner Tecumseth, the vessel was built just after the War of 1812 had ended. Historical research of Tecumseth and her sister ship Newash, which remained in Penetanguishene harbor, illuminated the ships? shadowy past. Conceived and built after the war, the vessels sailed for only two years before being rendered obsolete by the terms of the Rush-Bagot disarmament agreement. Nevertheless, the two vessels offer a unique perspective from which to view the post-war period on the Great Lakes. The schooners? hulls were interpreted and analyzed using archaeological evidence. A theoretical rigging reconstruction was created, using contemporary texts and documentary evidence of the ships themselves. Architectural hull analysis was carried out to explore the nature of these vessels. From these varied approaches, a conception of Newash and Tecumseth has emerged, revealing ways in which the hulls were designed to fulfill their specific duties. The hulls were sharp, yet had capacious cargo areas. The rigs combined square-rigged and fore-and-aft sails for maximum flexibility. The designs of the hulls and rigging also reflect predominant attitudes of the period, in which naval vessels on the lakes gave way to merchant craft. Taken as a whole, Tecumseth and Newash illustrate how ships, while fluid in the nature of their work, are also singular entities that truly encapsulate a specific point in time and place.
