Kvalita potravinářských odrůd pšenice v ZD Hodonice / Quality of the wheat grain at ZD Hodonice

Wheat belongs to the most important farm plant worldwide. The largest part of wheat sowing area is used to reach a food quality. An aim of this work is to assess the main criterions of the wheat grain at Zemědělské družstvo Hodonice and suggest the possibilities of its improvement. Wheat quality was assessed using wheat varieties harvested in 2007-2010 in this order: Balada variety from 2007 harvest, varieties Barriton, Bohemia, Balada from 2008, Barryton, Bohemia, Balada, Bardotka from 2009 and Barryton, Bohemia, Bardotka from 2010. Laboratory analyses were made by ZZN Pomoraví a.s.. Individual varieties were compared according to these quality indicators: colour, smell, the taste of grain, moisture, the foreign matters, volume density, and weight of thousand of grains, the mineral content, nitrogen content, SDS test and a Falling Number. The results were put into charts and graphs, assessed and compared according to ČSN-1100-2 ?bread wheat? and other literature data.

Metódy triedy ELECTRE: teória a aplikácie / ELECTRE methods: theory and applications

Multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is a field of decision theory concerned with analyzing discrete sets of variables evaluated by multiple criteria. Facilitating decisions in such situations are several methods, among them a family known as ELECTRE. Using threshold values and the concept of outranking, they allow for improved modeling of the uncertain nature of real systems. This thesis sets out to describe all of the basic ELECTRE methods, as well as several of their modifications and further extensions and aims to do so with a sufficient level of detail and using precise mathematical language. It also presents key applications of said methods and reviews their implementation in software. Lastly, it introduces a brand new software, ELIA, developed as a part of the thesis. It allows users to solve practical problems using four of the basic ELECTRE methods.

Detekce krup pomocí dat z meteorologických radarů / Hail detection with weather radar data

The thesis deals with testing of radar-based hail detection methods and their use in hail climatology of Czechia. Data from C-band Doppler radars were used. There is described the testing of the selected algorithms in the first part of the thesis. The algorithms were chosen according to the data availability. On the basis of 25 well documented hail events, suitable threshold values were found to form hail criteria. Because of the hail events considered, the work concentrates on severe hail with diameter from about 2 cm. In addition, available data from Germany (Baden-Württemberg) were included in testing the detection criteria. The best performing criteria were used to form a new combined criterion (COMBI). The second part of the work applies the hail criteria, in particular the COMBI criterion. The performance of the COMBI criterion is shown in four case studies. Then the COMBI criterion was determined from the radar data of the six years 2007-2012. All the days from the months May to August were evaluated. The point maximum of about one day with severe hail was found for Czechia. For the most of the Czech territory the value was not higher than a quarter of a day in a year. In the seasonal distribution the maximum of hail days belongs to June. And the diurnal distribution showed the maximum of severe hail...

For better understanding of the problem there are mentioned also general principles of dog feeding and researches realized in past. Segments are revealed on basis of one segmentation criteria, other possible views are just briefly mentioned. Marketing strategy is suggested for three chosen target groups.

Enhancing realistic academic self-actualisation : a psycho-andragogical perspective / Bevordering van realistiese akademiese selfaktualisering : 'n Psigo-andragogiese perspektief

Summaries in English and Afrikaans / This research was triggered by the need to assist first year students in a way which had not been addressed by the people involved with the upliftment of disadvantaged students. The aspect which was addressed was the personal growth of the adult learner within the academic situation with consideration of his own personal circumstances and ideals. This means that a micro level approach was generated by creating the Academic Enhancement Programme (AEP). The purpose of the programme is to give adult learners the opportunity to understand themselves and their own value systems better on a micro, meso and macro level, to experience personal growth or self-actualisation and to see how these factors influence the adult learners' interaction with the tertiary academic situation. Eight possible value systems were discussed and introduced to the adult learners who participated in the Academic Enhancement Programme. The adult learners were given the opportunity to measure themselves against the value systems and to evaluate how these influenced their realistic academic self-actualisation. The psycho-andragogical categories were utilised during the application of the programme as criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of the programme. The following recommendations were made • the creation of a faculty specific induction programme • linking study packages directly to the context of adult learners • organising personal academic contact • giving personal academic support • making the evaluation procedures transparent • creating and supporting informal study groups Although the study has certain limitations, it should be of great value to the university system during the transformation phase that it is experiencing at present. The main aim of the study is, however, the contribution to the academic growth of the adult learner in the tertiary situation / Hierdie navorsing het ontstaan vanuit die behoefte om eerstejaarstudente op 'n bepaalde wyse te ondersteun. Hierdie wyse is nog nie aangespreek deur mense wat met benadeelde studente gewerk het nie. Die aspek wat ondersoek is, is die persoonlike groei wat volwasse leerders ervaar binne die akademiese situasie met inagneming van hulle eie persoonlike omstandighede en ideale. Dit het beteken dat daar deur middel van 'n mikrobenadering 'n Akademiese Verrykingsprogram geskep moes word. Die doel van die program is drievoudig: Dit meet aan volwasse leerders die geleentheid bied om hulleself en hulle waardesisteme beter te verstaan in 'n mikro-, meso- en makroverband; om persoonlike groei I selfaktualisering te ervaar en om tot die besef te kom dat hierdie aangeleenthede hulle interaksie met die tersiere akademiese situasie be'invloed. The master´s thesis focuses on high-alumina refractory materials used mainly in aluminia metallurgy. Teoretical part of this thesis is aimed at distribution of refractory materials, possibilities of its production and raw material basis. Characteristic properties are described as well as application possibilities in aluminium technology. In final part of this thesis experimental data are evaluated to obtain physical, mechanical, chemical properties of high-alumina refractory materials. Those are used for economical optimalization of raw materials.

From a qualitative perspective the researcher want to explore and describe the criteria that must be taken in account during performance appraisal of community developers. A qualitative approach will be utilized following an explorative, descriptive and contextual research design. The study will be conducted by municipalities, non-governmental organizations and state departments in the Boland area in the Western Cape. Data will be collected by means of semi-structured focusgroup interviews with community developers. Data will be analysed according to the framework provided by Tesch (in Creswell, 1994). Guba's model (in Krefting, 1991) will be employed for data verification. Recommendations were provided according the criteria that must be taken in account with performance appraisal for community developers. / Prestasiebeoordeling word in die hedendaagse samelewing as 'n belangrike komponent binne enige organisasie beskou en organisasies word soms wetlik verplig om prestasiebeoordeling toe te pas. Vanuit 'n kwalitatiewe perspektief beplan die navorser die navorsingstudie om kriteria wat in aanmerking geneem behoort te word by prestasiebeoordeling van gemeenskapsontwikkelaars te verken en te beskryf. Vir die doel gaan 'n verkennende, bekrywende en konteksueie navorsingsontwerp geimplimenteer word.
