Populační vývoj a současné migrační tendence venkovských obcí Jižních Čech / Population development and current migration tendencies of rural municipalities of South Bohemia

Edelmanová, Denisa January 2019 (has links)
Transformation of Czech society after 1989 caused changes in spatial migration patterns. After strong socialist urbanization and during post-socialist suburbanization, people also began to move from towns to more remote rural areas. The subject of the thesis is the evaluation of the rural area of South Bohemia in terms of changes in its population and migration development in 1992-2017. Firstly, the thesis briefly analyzes the long-term population development of individual municipalities with extended power of South Bohemia in the context of the whole Czechia and then analyzes the types (positional and size) of rural municipalities of South Bohemia when solving their population growth, stagnation or depopulation and reveals the role of natural currency and migration balance in this population development. The main part of the thesis is an analysis of the internal migration of municipalities of South Bohemia in 1992-2017, namely migration flows between rural municipalities (semi-peripheral and peripheral) on the one hand and urban regions, including core towns (important and less important) and surrounding suburban municipalities, on the second hand. The main aim of the thesis is research the counterurbanization of South Bohemia based on the above mentioned migration flows. Especially after 1997,...

Vývoj brusíren a mačkáren skla na Jablonecku / Evolution of grinding and little glass maker factories of Jablonecko district

Hofman, Marek January 2020 (has links)
In the region of Jablonec, Czech republic, two unique types of industrial buildings used to be built, in which local craftsmen grinded and pressed glass. Nowadays, some of those objects have been already torn down, however the rest of them is currently serving for recreational or even residential purposes. The aim of this thesis is to document the remaining buildings and their users, and also to describe the life and the work of the local craftsmen. The buildings used for glass grinding were built all across the Czech republic, however in the region of Jablonec their appearance was very specific. In the ground floor, a row of small windows was usually present, providing enough light for the working craftsmen. Some of those buildings were also water-powered. The buildings used for glass pressing were, compared to the buildings for glass grinding, built only in the region of Jablonec. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to the history of the glass-making industry and the production of the fashion jewellery in this region, the second part is then focused on the main theme.

Štolleová, Barbora January 2011 (has links)
Agriculture of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia institutional change - production - exploitation The work considers changes of agricultural sector in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia that took place under pressure of occupation and war efforts of the Third Reich. It defines Nazi goals that were connected with agriculture, their methods that were to fulfil them and their results. The institutional change, production and exploitation build three main pillars of research. The institutional change, especially implementing of managed economy in agriculture and establishment of new institutions as instruments of Nazi control worked as the prerequisite for Nazi's performance in agriculture. The managed system of economy enabled implementation of wide range of administrative measures that significantly influenced agricultural production, its structure and intensity. The work analyzes relation between administration and performance of agriculture. The general change of this sector and its contribution to Germany are evaluated in wider context of Nazi's exploitation of occupied territories.

Recepce díla Lucase Cranacha st. v malířství první poloviny 16. století v Čechách / The Acceptance of Works of Lucas Cranach the Elder in Painting of the First Half of the 16th Century in Bohemia

Hamsíková, Magdaléna January 2011 (has links)
1 Abstract The Acceptance of Works of Lucas Cranach the Elder in Painting of the First Half of the 16th Century in Bohemia The thesis focuses on the personality and works of the Renaissance painter Lucas Cranach the Elder (1472-1553) and the acceptance of his works and works of his workshop in painting in the first half of the 16th century in Bohemia. The art production in Bohemia, analogous to the 15th century, was concentrated in small centres and was mainly directed to the painting of neighbouring, mainly German speaking countries. Traces of Cranach's unmistakable aesthetics could be spotted in the Czech lands from the first decade to the almost seventh decade of the 16th century. The life of Cranach's style was so long because it was prolonged, among others, by his son Lucas Cranach the Younger (1515-1586). We can assert that no other author or his followers was so successful in such a large scale, for such a long period of time nor had customers of broad walks of life as Lucas Cranach the Elder. The reason for this was seen by earlier researchers in mass workshop production and certain "easy acquirement" of his style (Max J. Friedländer) that spread especially from the 1520's outside the borders of the Electorate of Saxony. His works were accepted firstly through his graphic masters, secondly through...

Povodně v Soběslavi v letech 1729 až 1740 / The Soběslav floods between 1729 and 1740

Hudeček, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
My thesis presents a study of floods which repeatedly hit the town of Soběslav and it's close surroundings between 1729 and 1740. The text is divided in a theoretical (metodological) and an empirical part. In the theoretical part I will briefly summarize methodological trends in the modern historiography, which were most relevant for the thesis - environmental history, historical anthropology and microhistory. The second part will be dedicated to the floods of Soběslav; it derives primarily from research of previously unpublished resources from the archive and focuses also on short history of the town and description of it's natural surroundings. The main part is devoted to the Soběslav millers, but there will be reflected also the documented disputes over water-washed material, the response of the town offices to natural disaster and other consequences of the flood. The broad objective of this study is to examine other directions of research on early modern floods and the related problems. The thesis is an attempt to more general application of findings which emerged from the analysis of archival sources, and consideration of the possibilities and limits of comparison of historical and modern floods.

Vliv jezuitského řádu na výchovu v Českých zemích / The Impact of the Society of Jesus on education in The Czech lands

Bulířová, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
Firstly, the present thesis, "The Impact of The Society of Jezus on education in The Czech lands", introduces a person of Ignatius of Loyola, who founded the Society of Jezus, and gives a short overview of events including the establishment of the Society and its expansion mainly in Europe. Concerning this the thesis answers a question of some typical features of The Company. The history of the Society in the Czech lands follows. This chapter also includes some notable Czech members of the Society of Jesus. A view of process of education in the Czech lands introduces a second part of the thesis. In the second part of the thesis there is reflected education though time. There is pointed out the influence of the Society not only on process of school education, but also on process of education in general. However, it is difficult to see all of these in complexity of contemporary education. Moreover, it is not the point of the thesis to cover this complexity of problems of education, so the emphasis is put on some main periods and forms of Jesuits' activities. Considering all of this, of course it is possible to find some disadvantages of their impact on society, but anyway, in this case positive aspects are more noteworthy.

Průmyslové a všeobecné výstavy v Čechách 1891 - 1914. Aktéři a jejich motivace / Industrial and Universal Exhibitions in Bohemia during 1891-1914. Praticipants and Their Motivation

Okurka, Tomáš January 2012 (has links)
Industrial and Universal Exhibitions in Bohemia during 1891-1914. Participants and Their Motivation Abstract At first, the work defines four participant groups in connection with industrial and universal exhibitions in Bohemia before the First World War: a) organizers and promoters, b) exhibitors, c) the public, d) "suppliers". In doing so, it examines in particular the institutional base (associations, chambers of commerce, municipal and land authorities, civil service etc.) and the socio-occupational structure. Consequently, there follows a thorough analysis of the most significant motives and goals that led these parties to take part in the exhibitions: a) promotion of industry, crafts and trade, b) edification and entertainment, c) benefits for the town and presentation of municipal politics, d) national motives and country patriotism, e) social prestige. The thesis concludes with the question of to what extent the exhibitions served the function of communication medium among the individual socio-occupational groups on the one hand, and across the ethnic border on the other hand.

Skupina pozdně románských kostelů v severozápadních Čechách / The group of late-romanesque churches in north-western Bohemia

Kostrounová, Tereza January 2012 (has links)
This thesis examines a group of late Romanesque churches, most of which are to be found in north-western Bohemia. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part I survey the most important literature on the subject, and analyse the appearance of the individual churches in terms of their material, ground plan, the division of the walls into sections by means of relief features, portals, windows, tribunes, vaults, and architectural members. I also consider the artistic influences that had an impact on the shaping of the churches. The second part of the thesis consists of a catalogue of the individual churches. For each church I provide a detailed description and a reconstruction of its original appearance. I also attempt to describe the circumstances surrounding the construction of the church. A series of illustrations is attached to the thesis as an appendix.

Exilová výtvarná scéna v Čechách a její následné působení v zahraničí, 1933 až 1945 / The exile visual art scene in Bohemia and its subsequent activities abroad, 1933 - 1945

Rokytová, Bronislava January 2011 (has links)
The exile visual art scene in Bohemia and its subsequent activities abroad, 1933-1945 The development of the political situation in Germany during the thirties of the 20th century, when the Nazi Party was radicalizing and Adolph Hitler's power gradually became unlimited, meant a danger not only for the political opponents of Nazism. Artists who work didn't meet the criteria of the new aesthetic or even engaged in its detriment, had to seek for asylum. The First Czechoslovak Republic became one of these refuges. The Czech-German art scene was a significant aid for the integration of the refugees into the society. Some of its personalities returned to their birthplace for similar reasons as anti-Nazi refugees. Czech-German conditions provided to emigrants an opportunity for active continuing of the struggle against Nazi regime, also with a backward impact in Germany. But the support by the Czech population and the state went through series of changes under pressure of Nazi German government and the growing influence of the Sudeten areas. Artists with the status of refugees were obliged to follow a set of state regulations and orders, which often bureaucratically confined their creative activity. Nevertheless, some of their artworks, contacts and memories show their positive attitude to the Czech...

Lokální a národní identita v historických monografiích českých, moravských a haličských měst (1860 - 1900) / Local and National Identity in Historical Monographs on Bohemian, Moravian and Galician Towns (1860-1900)

Ira, Jaroslav January 2013 (has links)
The dissertation thesis deals with urban historical monographs that were published in 1860-1900 in Czech, German, and Polish language, and covered towns in Bohemia, Moravia, and Galicia. Adopting a broadly comparative perspective, the study focuses on the social dimension of the books through the lens of local and national identities. It presupposes that the urban histories essentially created local identities but at the same time makes a hypothesis that nationalization of society in the 19th century had significant impact on local urban history. The first chapter shows that the urban historiography in each of the regional-language spheres developed unevenly. One of the reasons was the different significance of towns and urban past in national thoughts. The following chapter analyses urban monographs as books. It poses questions about who wrote urban histories, with what intentions, and for what readership. It reveals that the books had essentially two roles: they served local purposes and at the same time they were integrated in the national programme The two remaining chapters deal with the analysis of historical representations. The fourth chapter compares urban histories with regard to periodization of urban past. It confirms that the national historical frame significantly influenced the ways...
