Otázky saské renesance / Questions of Saxon Renaissance

Ramešová, Michaela January 2013 (has links)
Dealing with both practical and consequently theoretical aspects, the thesis treats the Saxon Renaissance with the emphasis on the architecture in the Czech Republic. The purpose of the first part was to put together a list of historical monuments. Supported by previous research the selection method was determined and the individual buildings described. As a result we organized them into types and specified the Saxon Renaissance architectural features. Then we discussed broader issues related to the Saxon Renaissance architecture that were: the influence of Saxon timber-framed architecture, the origins and the role of the portal with seat shaped niches in the jambs; we re-examined the importance of the architectural commissions of the house of Pernštejn and we proposed to link the Bohemian Saxon Renaissance architecture with Czech early renaissance terracotta pieces. The second part of the thesis further explores the contextual issues. It tracks the early sixteen century French architecture and focuses on the German renaissance architecture, that of Saxony in particular. Then some theoretical reflections on the character of transalpine architecture are presented. Consequently, the thesis analyses the particularities of the region where the Saxon Renaissance architecture appeared - North-western...

Německý učitelský ústav v Českých Budějovicích v letech 1870-1920 / The German Training College in České Budějovice in 1870-1920

BESTREJKOVÁ, Romana January 2019 (has links)
This thesis deals with the historically unexplored topic of the development of the first teaching institute in South Bohemia, which was founded in the 1850´s. Until the establishment of the Czech Training college in Soběslav in the 1970´s, pedagogy was the only secondary school to educate future teachers of municipal and primary schools. First, the teaching institute was open to both nationalities living in the city of České Budějovice, i.e. German and Czech students, but after the establishment of the Czech pedagogium in Soběslav, it became a purely German school. The history of the German Training College was elaborated on the basis of a study of literature and a detailed analysis of the sources stored in the State District Archive in České Budějovice. The text of the thesis is divided into four main chapters and a series of subchapters. The work includes a set of text, image and table attachments. The diploma thesis summarizes the history of education in South Bohemia with a focus on the German pedagogium and general teaching at the turn of the 19th and 20th century and thus contributes to the history of South Bohemian teacher education.

Akademický vývoj studentů se specifickou poruchou učení na ZSF / Academic development of students with learning disability at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences

SOUKUPOVÁ, Lucie January 2019 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is the academic development of students with specific learning disabilities (SLD) at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, specifically at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. The thesis is mainly concerned with the analysis of individual study programmes and fields in the context of the study specification demands, the results of which will be used in the research of the GA JU project implemented by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of Education. The introduction of the theoretical part describes the current state of knowledge about the problems of specific learning disorders. First, the basic concepts and the divisions of learning disorders according to the affected area are defined. Then, the etiology of specific learning disabilities is presented, followed by a chapter focused on symptoms of learning disabilities, diagnosis and reeducation. The next chapter is focused on the adult, his / her development in biological and psychological terms. Diagnostics and re-education in adulthood are also presented in this chapter. In the theoretical part, attention is also paid to the education of individuals with specific learning disabilities in secondary school and university. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to universities in general, then to the University of South Bohemia and the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences itself. The aim of the practical part is to analyze all study programmes that can currently be studied at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences in full-time study. Individual subjects taught in the given study programme will be the core of the analysis. The criteria will be pre-defined in order to determine the level of study demands.

Comparative osteoarchaeological perspectives on health and lifestyle of Neolithic, Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Age populations from Slovakia, Moravia and Bohemia

Hukelova, Zuzana January 2017 (has links)
Despite the potential of a biocultural methodology, osteology and archaeology are often approached separately in some parts of Central Europe. This osteoarchaeological thesis presents a rare comparative study of populations occupying modern-day Slovakia, Moravia, and Bohemia from the Neolithic to the Early Bronze Age (EBA). By examining skeletal indicators of health and lifestyle, it aims to contribute to bioarchaeological research within the study region. It also provides new insights into a series of important sites where no osteological evaluation of skeletal remains have previously been performed. Human remains from thirty-four sites in Slovakia, Moravia and Bohemia, 152 adults and 136 subadults, were analysed. Demographic, pathological and metric data were recorded and evaluated, and compared with previously published data for contemporaneous populations in order to create a more comprehensive representation of the populations in the area. The results suggest several differences between the Neolithic and the following periods, mostly as regards health status. Higher dietary and environmental stress was indicated in the Neolithic period, as suggested by lower mortality peak (especially of females and subadults) and about 5cm shorter stature, and generally worse health status of Neolithic population when compared to the Chalcolithic and EBA individuals. The Neolithic is also the only period where females were more numerous than males. Such a trend is quite common in the Neolithic of the study region. This may be a result of increased migration of Neolithic females, as raids for wives are suggested to have been practiced. As indicated by both the osteological and archaeological record, one of the sites examined, Svodín, could have been a site of contemporary elites and their family members. Chalcolithic populations revealed differences in cranial shape, being mesocephalic (medium-headed) or brachycephalic (short-headed), whereas both the Neolithic and the EBA populations were dolichocephalic (long-headed). Differences in male and female cranial features suggest a possible mixing of indigenous and incoming populations. Such results may contribute to the ongoing discussion about the ‘foreignness‘ of Chalcolithic Bell Beaker people in the area. Traumatic lesions suggest that males were more physically active than females in all three periods, including violent encounters. Even though violence was recorded in all three periods, especially in the western part of the region, and the intensity and brutality of the assaults appears to increase in the Chalcolithic and culminating in the EBA. In addition, poorer health status of EBA children was recorded, possibly related to more marked social differentiation in the period. In general, poorer health was implied for the prehistoric populations of today’s Slovakia. The results of this study can serve as the basis for future research and contribute to a more comprehensive image of lifestyle and development of prehistoric populations in the study area.

Kamenná moře neovulkanických pňů v severních Čechách: poloha, morfologie, míra zvětrávání. / Blockfields of the neovulcanic pits in Northern Bohemia: location, morphology, weathering rate.

Plecháč, Petr January 2019 (has links)
Blockfields as an indicator of landscape development with a specific microclimate is presented in many scientific publications. This diploma thesis is focused on finding the relationship between the hardness of stone blocks and the intake of potential radiation, with an assessment of morphology, location and local conditions. Within the selected study areas in Northern Bohemia was recorded a total of 73 blockfields, of which 22 sites were selected for further investigation. From the results of the statistical analyses was shown the relationship between the income potential of radiation and the degree of ventilation of stone blocks. The analyses also show the relationship between the hardness of stone blocks in the blockfields and the orientation of the blockfields to the world's sides, which proved to be significant. The tests performed by the analyses of each third (high) stone seas have shown the possibility of moving rock blocks downhill.

A construção de lugares na boemia

Furquim, Kessio Guerreiro January 2017 (has links)
This research approached the relation of boemia with the city, more specifically with sections of the districts Centro Histórico and Cidade Baixa in Porto Alegre. Using a theoretical-methodological tool that advocates that the urbanist's research experience must be based on the cross-fertilization of different knowledge and, in addition, that also defends the importance of field research, we explore the relationship between bohemia and the city under two major axes: (a) through the process of building places and (b) seeing the bohemia itself as both a public form of public life at night related to the amusement of people, and also as a constructed imaginary. From the fragments collected in the field research were constructed narratives from which we show: (a) how the process of building places is intimately linked to the experiences of subjects and collectivities that result in memories and affections; In addition, we show how in parallel there are also processes of subjectivation and valorization, all linked to the materiality of urban spaces; (b) how the term / imaginary / idea of bohemia is renewed by a set of contemporary practices, mixed with survivors of other times and places in which the idea of bohemia was constituted. Finally, we also address issues related to the proper conduct of this research, seeking to share acquired learning and defending a fragmentary knowledge as an important pathway to an urbanism in which sensitivity can enter the spatial analysis game.

Entre copos, conversas e canÃÃes: um estilo boÃmio de viver a cidade / Between cups, conversations e songs. A bohemian style of living the town

Daniele Costa da Silva 26 June 2012 (has links)
The thesis aims at analyzing a life-style designated as bohemia, in the city of Fortaleza, between the years 1964 and 1979. My approach comprehends trying to understand how participants of cultural movements (music, visual arts, theater, cinema, poetry), professional activities (journalism, marketing, architecture) or political activities (militants, student council participants) integrate a unique life-style in the city. Actions, behaviors, world perspectives and socialization manners will be analyzed under the strong influence of the military coup dâÃtat occurred in 1964. The refusal to obey the rigor of the dictatorship and the existing censorship in the country will contribute to gathering different people with common interests, establishing paths through town, in an intersection of the artistic, political and cultural scenarios, whose main meetings happened in bars. Yet the process of urban expansion of the city and the emergence of cultural and political movements associated with an atmosphere of strong behavioral changes, characteristics of the designated counterculture, will be discussed. Therefore the city and the public spaces that appear in this context appear as a place for attitudes and antagonistic behaviors, where new characters can emerge. We also attempt to observe how bohemians and their modus operandi were adapted and are still lived nowadays in some bars in the city.
