BOHEMIA, CARINTHIA AND TYROL UNDER THE RULE OF HENRY OF CARINTHIA (JAKUB RAZIM) ABSTRACT The aim of this dissertation is to describe the governing practice (Herrschaftspraxis) of Henry of Carinthia in Bohemia, Carinthia and, subsequently, especially in the Tyrol, in whose southern parts the power base of the Menhart dynasty was situated. The work focuses on four key features of Henry's rule - constructing consensus between ruler and elites, exploiting feudal rights, the use of mortgages, and the use of culture to project political themes. The analysis of the various power techniques used is divided into individual chapters drawing on sources previously unpublished or insufficiently explored. The first group consists of Tyrolean chancery registers (Tiroler Kanzleiregister) and accounts books (Tiroler Rechnungsbücher, alternatively Raitbücher), the second of Austrian court poetry. Following the initial introduction of the sources, bibliography and methodology used for dealing with this particular topic, the consensual context is introduced, within which the rule of Henry of Carinthia was conducted, ranging from informal consultations to deliberations of the royal council. Program "Green savings" was initiated in April 2009. It was developed by the Czech Republic's Ministry of Environmental Affairs. The main governing body is the state fund for environmental affairs. The main objective of the program was the reduction of CO2 emmissions, encouragement of the use of renewable energy sources and the increase in energy efficiency. The program also supports the use of renewable energy sources for the purpose of heating and hot water production, as well as providing subsidies for partial or complete insulation of apartments or family homes. The program is divided into three parts which encompass Part A energy saving for the purpose of heating, Part B development in the passive energy standard and Part C the use of renewable energy sources for heating and hot water production. Subsidies are provided only to citizens of Czech Republic. By October 31st 2010, the program "Green savings" had documented 78 643 applications worth 22,53 billion Krowns. To this day, 64 136 applications have been approved, which represent 16.6 billion Krowns. Within different phases of completion were a further 14 507 applications representing 5,9 billion Krowns. The program has become very popular, and has had to be prematurely closed because the number of approved applications exceeded the program's designated financial budget. In the town of Milevsko, the program "Green savings" was most effective in Part A, primarily within the area of applications for family homes. The second most successful area was Part C. For Part B, there were no applications from the town of Milevsko. The level of financial support paid for all types of applications from Milevsko reached 38 134 708 Krowns , which is 8,27% of the total amount paid out in Czech Republic. Just as this example shows the effectiveness of the program ?Green savings? in Milevsko, this project can also help improve the overall consciousness with regard to energy saving, the use of renewable energy sources and the overall consciousness regarding the protection of the environment. If we want to improve our environment, it is important that not only do citizens change their way of thinking and their actions, but also that the State supports this new mentality with a positive momentum, for instance, such as supporting programs like "Green savings".

The main objective of this thesis is to determine the model assumptions (Western Bohemia region-Planá, Marianské Lázně and Tachov) for the establishment and existence of the phenomenon of "amenity migration". This finding will determine the main reasons why amenity migrants moving to this area and what is their involvement in local life.

This thesis discusses socioeconomic and environmental aspects of the country life in the context of the South Bohemian Region. The practical part is mostly focused on Dražíč village and its evaluation and comparison with other chosen villages across the districts. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used for this comparison. To be specific, methods such as interview with the mayor, analysis of the statistical data and web pages evaluation were applied.

In its theoretical part, the (Diploma) Thesis "New Exploitation Concept of the Picked Brownfields in Southern Bohemia District" concerns brownfield issues, defines the terms and describes their classifiaction from diferent points of view. Next the Thesis defines procedures of identification and mapping of brownfields. My work indicates authorities dealing with the topics, revitalization possibilities and possibilities of investment in particular investment intents. Applied part of the Thesis aims at one chosen property in South Bohemia District, describes history and today's condition and possibilities of their future use.

3 Abstract Title: Quality of water and water touring on selected West Bohemia rivers Aim: The main aim of the thesis was to find out if there are changes of water quality in the most significant West Bohemia rivers as a result of the changing approach to our environment in the past several years. Furthermore, to consider whether the water quality has changed in relation to finished water management projects and whether this change influenced using rivers for water touring. The observed rivers: Úhlava, Úslava, Radbuza, Mže, Berounka and Střela. Methods: The first part of the thesis, discussing the water quality, analyzes available data collected from written and electronic resources and discussions with experts. The gained material mostly within the last 10 years was organized, compared and summarized. The second part brings the evaluation by canoeists who regularly canoe down these rivers and can visually judge the water quality. This information was interpreted from semi- structured interviews with canoeists. Results: Our presumption that the water quality on the selected West Bohemia rivers is improving was proved, which is one of basic conditions for water touring as well. In order to have a better understanding concerning the subject, in the first chapter we try to show the transformations which have occurred in Natal and, consequently, within Natal sociability during the first half of the twentieth century. The bohemia, demonstrated in this dissertation as a way of sociability, expressed itself through the meetings in bars and the serenades. In the second chapter, the study conducted a mapping of the bohemian spaces (cafes, candy stores, bars and prostituition houses) and established the differences between these spaces. We ideated the spaces as the stage of interpersonal relations, as people went to these places in the attempt to participate of the conversation groups that were found there, choosing them according to their affinity and personal interests. The last chapter has the purpose of investigating the bohemia in Natal through the experience of the chronicler Newton Navarro, who used to roam the dark streets of Ribeira in search for open bars, extending bohemia until dawn. The intellectual activity was associated with his bohemian practices.
