Development of ADQ214 user interface in labVIEW.GILANI, HASSAN, BHUIYAN, RAISUL January 2012 (has links)
This thesis was conducted in collaboration with Signal Processing (SP) Devices Sweden AB. SP Devices provides digital signal processing solutions for the enhancement of analogue to digital conversion (ADC). Their ADCs facilitate the development of products for Communications, Radio base stations, Radar, Signals intelligence and Test & Measurement. The ADQ series digitizers, from SP Devices, are portable high performance digitizers which incorporate one or more analog inputs, an on-board double data rate (DDR2) memory and USB or PXI Express interface. DDR2 refers to the ability of a computer bus to transfer data on both the rising and falling edges of a clock signal. The ADCaptureLab software is a graphical user interface used to control this digitizer. ADCaptureLab, designed in the C/C++ programming language, is an easy-to-use standalone program which allows for configuration and operation of all ADQ series digitizers from SP Devices. The use of the LabView program from National Instruments forms the backbone of this thesis. LabVIEW (short for Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench) is a platform and development environment for a visual programming language from National Instruments. The topic of this thesis was to reproduce the ADCaptureLab user interface using LabView instead of C/C++. The graphical user interface (GUI) developed in LabView should be able to communicate with and control the processing of the ADQ214 digitizer (the digitizer model provided to us) in the same way as the ADCaptureLab. This would involve not only the data capturing and visualization but also digitizer configurations, monitoring of the device and ADQ functions and the analyses of acquired signal and FFT. In order to implement the configuration settings we developed functions for trigger settings (conditions at which a trigger will occur), Analogue Front End settings (AC/DC coupling), clock settings (sets the clock source), data type settings (set sample format), gain and offset setting (sets amplitude gain and mean value), pre-trigger settings (size of pre-trigger buffer), trigger hold off settings ( number of samples to wait for acquiring data after trigger), data acquisition length settings (Length of the acquired signal), continuous and single batch data acquisition, FFT transformation, save, load , and “clear plots” control (resets graph indicators). The functioning of our device may be monitored through the “Status window” (displays connection status of the ADQ device), “Devices window” (displays product information about the ADQ device), “Device monitor window” (returns the status of ADQ-API functions used) and the “Device information window” (returns information related to the revision of the ADQ device). Analyzing the acquired data and its corresponding FFT is made simple with the “Signal Properties” window (displays analyzed data), “Mark Harmonics” control (marks harmonics in the FFT) and the “Mark Signal Props” control (marks the fundamental tone and highest distortion in the FFT). Our LabVIEW GUI efficiently incorporates the features described above. In addition to being able to communicate instructions to the ADQ214 device we are able to monitor its condition and analyze any output. This result serves to show that it is possible to develop a program such as ADCaptureLab in LabVIEW. / HASSAN GILANI # : +46736742637 RAISUL BHUIYAN # :+46762596979

Zazen pro diagnostiku asynchronnch motor / Device for diagnostic of induction machineBuln, Tom January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to study the problems of induction motors, which belong among the most widespread and used machines. Due to their expansion, it is advisable to start the fault monitoring to prevent any more damage and losses. It can be used for condition monitoring different types of methods, which are variety technically and costly demanding to implement. It is used the method of measurement using stator currents in this thesis, because these currents are already monitored and it is easy to create devices for a more detailed analysis. The whole monitoring is carried out using products from National Instruments. The program of monitoring is created in graphical setting of LabVIEW. The analysis is conducted by calculating the Fast Fourier transform of the time signal. The result is the frequency spectrum, which contains frequency peaks and some of these peaks represent failure. The test data are collected with a DAQ device and then the same data are used for creating a methodology for evaluating online analysis and it is subsequently implemented into CompactRIO.

System On-/Offline merania teploty na báze LabView / System of On-/Offline temperature measurement based on Lab ViewStejskal, David January 2019 (has links)
The objective of this thesis was to create a LabVIEW-based program for temperature measurement using a personal computer. The program allows reading and post processing of digital signal from a measuring device. This device consists of a sensor type PT100, a measuring transducer and an analog-to-digital converter with USB output. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with resistance temperature sensors, signal analysis and methods for signal processing. The practical part is conceived as a guide to the created program. This part introduces vital sub-elements of the program and describes their principle, practical use and also the operating instructions. As required by thesis assignment, practical part includes verification of the measuring device, which was performed in laboratory of Czech Metrology Institute in Brno.

Rozšíření optického vláknového přenosového systému / Extension of optical fiber transmission systemHorský, Tomáš January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis describes the elaboration of a program for the simulation of an optical transmission path. The work introduces the basic parameters of optical transmission, such as attenuation, dispersion and bandwidth. Furthermore, the techniques of line code and error detection are described in the work, especially a cyclic redundancy sum. The key parameter of this thesis is dispersion of the optical signal. The work includes the characteristics of the eye diagram and its analysis. The resulting program can also be used to measure the real transmission route and its parameters.

Metody akustické holografie v blízkém poli v prostředí LabVIEW / Near-field acoustical holography methods in LabVIEW environmentMajvald, František January 2021 (has links)
Near-field acoustical holography is a standard method for sound source visualization and localization. In this thesis, commonly used and newly published near-field acoustic holography methods are introduced and analysed. In addition, regularization methods are presented together with finding options of optimal regularization parameter. Based on theory, a LabVIEW library is built containing four implemented near-field acoustical holography algorithms and two regularization methods. To verify the correctness of implementations, a testing application has been made. This application allows testing of implemented algorithms with simulated or experimentally measured data. The correctness of implementation is verified, and algorithms are compared to each other with respect to accuracy and speed of calculation.

My master´s thesis named “Automated measurement of transient phenomena of synchronous generators“ deals with transient phenomena appearing during a three-phase short-circuit on output clips of synchronous generators. Introduction of my master´s thesis named “Theory of transient phenomena of synchronous generators” deals with a theoretic description of transient phenomena appearing during a three-phase short-circuit on output clips of synchronous generators. This part treats the existence of direct and alternating components of short-circuit currents flowing in stator winding during a three-phase short circuit. Afterwards it treats reactances of stator windidng for the duration of a three-phase short-circuit on clips of synchronous generators. Theme of the following part of the master´s thesis is “Technical setting of measuring system for analysis of transient phenomena of synchronous generators”. This part deals with an analysis of technical setting that characterizes measuring sensors. These sensors scan measured electrical magnitudes that describe transient phenomena. Measuring hardware by a firm National Instruments is designed on the basis of technical setting. Following part of the master´s thesis named “Measuring hardware for measuring of transient phenomena of synchronous generators as a platform PXI/SCXI” deals with a description of technical characteristics of designed measuring hardware for measuring transient phenomena. Practical part of the master´s thesis named “Software TransientVIEW for analysis of transient phenomena of synchronous generators” describes in detail a software conception of user interface of software TransientVIEW that is developed in a developing interface LabVIEW 8.6 by the firm National Instruments.
