The aim of my work is to describe the common forms and kinds of financing of business and also to describe which of them were used or are use in the company ATOS, s.r.o. in 2005. The sekond aim of my word is to evaluace internal and external kinds of financing and total financial business situation since 2005.

The thesis introduces leasing and credit issues on the market of the Czech Republic. The long-term financing by borrowed capital represents a strategic decision that influences the financial state in future years and therefore it is essential to understand and identify all its specifics and details properly. The thesis aims to analyze possibilities of investment financing in particular, to concentrate on definitions, types, advantages and disadvantages, principles of accounting and the current situation on the market regarding leasing and credits. The thesis gives a view of these two types of financing as well as a view of their mutual comparison because each possibility has its positive and negative aspects. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first ones are dedicated to the theoretical background which describes both credit and leasing. The second part of the thesis includes practical model examples demonstrating the comparison of both ways of financing.

With the updated leasing standard from the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) going into effect, companies will need to understand the basic principles and new definition of a lease, as well as the types of leases. Then they will be able to account for them properly, and more information will be transparent to the users.

This paper summarizes theoretical aspects of both leasing and cash card and analyses the market of leasing in Lithuania. The paper also presents the activities of JSC „Šiaulių banko lizingas” and the basic leasing management principles in it. The author of the paper presents leasing and cash card as an alternative financial product, thoroughly analyses strengths and weaknesses of it and discusses the possibility to introduce a leasing card as a joint financial product. The paper proves author’s hypothesis that in order to improve leasing services and to make it more accessible to customers JSC „Šiaulių banko lizingas” and SC “Šiaulių bankas” shall introduce a leasing card as a joint financial product.
