No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2003 / This study had as objective to consider if the Property and Logistic Administration System (PLS) developed for the SESC National Managements, supply the necessities of their Regional Managements, showing positive and negative points. Involving the areas of suppliment logistic, internallogistic and permanent movable resources management, the study had also as objective to establish a methodology of evaluation, since we had not found a similar case applied in services providing organizations. The methodology treated the general aspects related to the most important activities of humans resources, the efficiency of the tasks and the quality and the security of the information, everything resulting from the utility of information technology. Specifically, the methodology treated the focal points of the areas which form the study: information, register, processing, accompaniment, receiving and planning. The method also inc1udes the evaluation of the necessity of deve10ping the logistic module of PLS distribution. The results of the study showed that the PLS supplies the necessities of the SESC Regional Management and that the necessity of developing the logistic module must be better analyzed and that the methodology seemed to be viable and must be a motive for new researches of services providing organizations, inc1usively in SESC, as the model creates impacts in the management of logistic and property activities. / Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar se o Sistema de Gestão Logística e Patrimonial (SLP) desenvolvido pela Administração Nacional do SESC, atende às necessidades de suas Administrações Regionais, apontando elementos positivos e negativos. Envolvendo as áreas de logística de suprimentos, logística interna e gestão de bens móveis pennanentes, o estudo teve também como objetivo estabelecer metodologia de avaliação, visto que não se encontrou caso similar aplicado em organizações prestadoras de serviços. A metodologia tratou de aspectos gerais relacionados a maior significância das atividades de recursos humanos, a eficiência das tarefas e a qualidade e segurança das infonnações, tudo resultado da utilização de tecnologia de infonnação. De fonna mais específica, a metodologia tratou de pontos focais das áreas que compõem o estudo: infonnação, cadastro, processamento, monitoramento, recebimento e planejamento. Incluiu-se ainda no método, avaliação sobre a necessidade de desenvolvimento de módulo de logística de distribuição no SLP. Os resultados do estudo evidenciaram que o SLP atende às necessidades das Administrações Regionais do SESC, que a necessidade de desenvolvimento do módulo de logística de distribuição deve ser melhor analisada e que a metodologia se mostrou viável e deve ser motivo de novas pesquisas em organizações prestadoras de serviços, inclusive no SESC, visto que o modelo gera impactos no gerenciamento da atividade logística e patrimonial.

In BraziL it can stand out as a notable example of this vision the known movement like ECR, of English efficient consumer response. The movement ECR is a work philosophy and of cooperation among different members of the productive chain, of several leveIs, from manufacturers to the retail market. As well as other paradigm changes involving great number of people (and of organizations with several cultures), those involved in the implementation of the movement can present strong resistance to the same, what would be harrnful (and potentially fatal) for his/her it executes implementation. This theory explores this subject, focusing attentions involved us inside in the implementation of ECR ofthe group Sendas S.A. The results demonstrate an apparent acceptance ofthe tools and administration models introduced by ECR, besides the positive perception on the part of the stakeholders of the consequences of the introduction of the movement. / Este estudo demonstrou os impactos do E.C.R. ¿ Resposta Eficiente ao Consumidor na cadeia de suprimentos de uma empresa de varejo, precisamente do grupo Sendas, empresa esta que busca na logística um diferencial competitivo para sobreviver neste mercado acompanhando as mudanças e as melhorias operacionais no fluxo de produtos e das operações, causadas pela evolução tecnológica que o varejo vem sofrendo nos últimos anos. Para tanto foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográfica e documental, de forma a embasar conceitualmente e com informações relevantes a caracterização da empresa inserindo a mesma neste contexto de cadeia de suprimentos e foco no cliente, estabelecendo uma relação entre a empresa pesquisada e a aplicação da tecnologia existente. Quanto aos aspectos relacionados aos ganhos de eficiência, houve uma preocupação com a implantação das ferramentas do E.C.R. como um fator determinante para a perpetuação do negócio. Os ganhos de eficiência permitiram a empresa este diferencial competitivo na disputa pelo mercado, certamente outros aspectos como atendimento são relevantes para garantir a eficiência da cadeia, portanto, avaliamos as interfaces entre os participantes da cadeia (fabricantes, fornecedores), grupo Sendas (varejista) e consumidores. Assim, concluímos este estudo mapeando pontos fortes e fracos desta relação, identificando as barreiras a serem vencidas e algumas recomendações.

The interviews and observations which took place in the units of the organization, were meaningful and relevant in order to understand the working processes, and transfonnations by which Natura passed through. As a result, it was possible to show some advantages arisen from the implementation of new logistics processes. / Dentro do contexto de transformações físicas e funcionais pelas quais a Natura Cosméticos S.A . passou, este estudo objetivou analisar as possíveis vantagens decorrentes das mudanças estratégicas logísticas efetuadas. As entrevistas e as observações que foram realizadas nas unidades da empresa, forneceram informações substanciais e significativas para a compreensão do funcionamento da Natura e das transformações em curso. Como resultado, foi possível apresentar vantagens dos novos processos logísticos implementados.

O foco principal foi perceber se existem indicadores de desempenho eficaz na operacionalização mais racional e equilibrada desse modal de transporte. A pesquisa foi conduzida por uma revisão bibliográfica de estudos da Logística e suas operações, como também da utilização dessa ferramenta de gestão no transporte, seguido de uma apresentação do enfoque evolutivo da RMB, com especial atenção a questão do transporte de passageiros. A metodologia foi preparada para atender à pesquisa de campo e ao estudo descritivo. Consistiu basicamente na determinação de variáveis extraídas de indicadores que tiveram por base o conceito de Logística. O questionário foi estruturado com base nessas vertentes e aplicados à uma população de 44 sujeitos, funcionários da referida empresa. Além desse procedimento foi realizada uma entrevista com a gerência executiva, na intenção não de tratamento, mas de buscar informações que pudessem subsidiar a análise. Os dados coletados no instrumento metodológico foram tratados e sistematizados em gráficos e tabelas por ferramentas estatísticas. Na análise dos dados quantificados, foi utilizada a literatura para cruzamento de informações, além do que o uso de algumas falas de respondentes. Dentro dos resultados obtidos, encontram-se observações que podem subsidiar algumas tomadas de decisão para a melhoria de desempenho da citada empresa. Além do que, disponibilizadas percepções que poderão ser utilizadas por outros estudos. / This study deals with the question that Logistic in the operational status of the public carrier for bus of the Region in the Metropolitan of Belém- RMB, particularly, of the concessionaire Belém Company River, that acts in the Capital of Pará. The main focus was to perceive if exist any indication of the efficient in the operation and if it is rational and balanced performance of this model one of carrier. The research was conducted by a bibliographic review of studies of logistics and its operations, as well as the use of such management tool in the transport, followed by a presentation of the evolutionary of RMB, with particular attention with the issue of the passenger transportation. The methodology was prepared to take account of the Field research and descriptive study, it basically consisted in the extracted variables indicators that were based on the logistics concepts. The questionnaire was structured based on these aspects and applied to 44 persons that work on the company staff. In addition to this procedure it was performed a interview with the management board, the intention is not of treatment, but to DIG for information that could subsidise the analyses. The data collected in methodological tool were treated and systematized in graphs and tables of statistical tools. In the analyses of the figures, was used the literature of crossroads of information, in addition to the use of some statements respondents. Within the results obtained, are observations that may subsidise certain decisions for the improvement of performance of the Said company. Moreover made available perceptions with may be used by other researches.

The strategy that best leverages resources and capabilities to obtain sustainable competitive advantages can be found inside or outside organizational boundaries. This study aims to identify and assess the reasons for a beverage industry to migrate from an outsourced distribution model to a vertically integrated one. Therefore, we built a case study which allows us to evaluate carriers' behavior in the contractor perspective and to analyze the financial feasibility of their own fleet, not to mention the exploration of pilot project idea and the vertical implementation itself. With the results we could assess benefits and risks of having own physical distribution, exploring the intersection between theoretical and empirical contributions. Therefore, we broadened the vision of the academy and executives on the sourcing decision, exploring strategic aspects of this complex and important decision-making process. / As organizações são alvos constantes de mudanças impostas por fatores que exigem rápidas e consistentes decisões para se manterem competitivas. A estratégia que melhor explora os recursos e as competências como forma de obtenção de vantagens competitivas sustentáveis pode estar dentro ou fora das fronteiras organizacionais. Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar e avaliar as razões que levaram uma indústria de bebidas à migração de um modelo de distribuição terceirizado para um verticalmente integrado. Para tal, foi realizado um estudo de caso que permitiu avaliar o comportamento dos transportadores na ótica do contratante, e o processo de análise e implementação desse projeto de verticalização. Com os resultados obtidos foi possível avaliar as vantagens e riscos desse novo modelo, explorando o cruzamento entre as contribuições teóricas e empíricas. Portanto, ampliamos a visão da academia e dos executivos sobre a decisão de sourcing, e exploramos os aspectos estratégicos desse complexo e importante processo decisório.
