A compet?ncia leitora em ingl?s instrucional : uma proposta metodol?gico-pragm?tica sob a perspectiva da teoria das interfaces lingu?sticas

It is intended to verify the reading processing for comprehension of authentic texts in English as a Foreign Language. An analysis is made from two theoretical frameworks. The first, in a psycholinguistic perspective, that defends the importance of cognitive and metacognitive aspects developed through reading strategies so that it can support the pragmatic analysis of the methodology of Ingl?s Instrumental . The status of lingua franca of English motivates the demand for reading training courses on LI increasingly growing in most courses in higher institutions to take English Proficiency Exam in the Graduate Programs. The second, in the light of the theory of building interfaces or Metatheory of Interfaces (CAMPOS, 2007) and the functionalist theory since both have advocated the pragmatic competence on the interactive relationship between text, reader and author. In this context, it is believed that the proposal analysis can verify the feasibility of enabling the reader to access in the text and identify the grammatical aspects and levels of morphological, lexical-semantic, syntactic and pragmatic representation. It is also identified with the bibliographic literature some researches on the importance of metalanguage and metalinguistic awareness (GOMBERT, 2003), (KODA, 2007), in the developing process of skills of the strategies for reading competence. The articulation that is promoted in the reading processing with the development of metalinguistic skills (morphological awareness, syntactic awareness and pragmatic awareness ) will occur through the facilitators in the texts on LI to effect the understanding of information and the construction of meaning from knowledge of linguistic structures both in LM and in LI . / A presente tese visa contribuir para o enriquecimento do trabalho metodol?gico na constru??o de sentido no processo de compet?ncia leitora, no contexto das interfaces que se estabelecem entre Cogni??o e Pragm?tica. Pretende-se verificar o processamento da leitura para a compreens?o de textos aut?nticos em Ingl?s como L?ngua Estrangeira. Uma an?lise ? feita a partir de dois arcabou?os te?ricos. O primeiro, em uma perspectiva psicolingu?stica que defende a import?ncia dos aspectos cognitivos e metacognitivos desenvolvidos atrav?s de estrat?gias de leitura, a fim de que se possa fundamentar a an?lise pragm?tica na metodologia de Ingl?s Instrumental. O status de l?ngua franca do ingl?s motiva a demanda por cursos de capacita??o leitora em LI1, cada vez mais crescentes na maioria dos cursos em institui??es superiores, para Exames de Profici?ncia em l?ngua inglesa nos Programas de P?s-gradua??o. O segundo, ? luz da teoria de constru??o de interfaces ou da Metateoria de Interfaces (CAMPOS, 2007) e da teoria funcionalista, visto que ambas as teorias t?m defendido a compet?ncia pragm?tica na rela??o interativa entre texto, leitor e autor. Nesse contexto, acredita-se que a an?lise proposta pode verificar a viabilidade de capacitar o leitor a acessar e identificar no texto os aspectos gramaticais e seus n?veis de representa??o morfol?gica, l?xico-sem?ntica, sint?tica e pragm?tica. Identificam-se, tamb?m, algumas pesquisas realizadas sobre a import?ncia da metalinguagem e da consci?ncia metalingu?stica (GOMBERT, 2003), (KODA, 2007), no processo de desenvolvimento de habilidades das estrat?gias para a compet?ncia leitora. A articula??o que ? promovida no processamento da leitura com o desenvolvimento de habilidades metalingu?sticas (consci?ncia morfol?gica, consci?ncia sint?tica e consci?ncia pragm?tica) dar-se-? atrav?s dos recursos facilitadores presentes em textos em LI, para efetivar a compreens?o da informa??o e a constru??o de sentidos a partir do conhecimento das estruturas lingu?sticas tanto em LM2 quanto em LI.
