"Det finns inget bättre än en lärare som verkligen bryr sig om dig" : En studie om vad som gör gymnasieelever studiemotiverade ur elevens perspektivMagnusson, Joel January 2013 (has links)
My purpose for this essay is to examine what factors are considered to have high influence on motivation to study and what measures can be taken to enhance student’s motivation to study from a student perspective. The main source of theory for this study has been the classification of motivational factors that has been based on Herzberg’s twofactortheory with complementary theoretical sources. The study is based around two research methods, one survey together with complementary student interviews. The empirical material consists of 118 completed surveys together with nine student interviews. The study’s results have found that students find the main source of rising motivational level originates from the professional role of the teacher. Additionally the students find the main source of subsiding motivational level originate from rising level of stress and uninspiring teachers. Furthermore the study has found possible improving measures in lacking personnel, an working environment focused on studies and an education oriented on future career preferences.

Školská motivácia rómskych žiakov / School motivation of the Gypsy learnersKrotká, Lenka January 2010 (has links)
The aim of the thesis was to analyze and to confirm or to contradict short-term orientation of the Gypsies and through realized research to offer the representation of school motivation of the Gypsy learners. The thesis is divided to four chapters. It contains 2 pictures, 1 map, 2 charts, 30 graphs and 3 supplements. The first chapter contains clarification of theoretical basics of the motivation. In the second chapter the perspective orientation is characterized; its theoretical starting points, characteristics and components. The third chapter deals with Gypsy ethnic-group society and represents the basic view about its history, Gypsy family, education development and about actual level of education. The last chapter, containing research, presents the results of the research and interpretation of obtained indications. This chapter refers clearly a short-term orientation in some issues but also manifestation of perspective orientation of a segment of the respondents in the other issues. It contradicts the hypothesis that Gypsy learners are not interested to study at the University.

Psichosocialinio klasės klimato ir mokymosi motyvacijos sąsajos pradinėse klasėje / The correlation of a psycho-social atmosphere of the class and motivation to study in the primary schoolLukošiutė, Sigita 13 June 2005 (has links)
The Master Paper consists of an introduction and four parts: a) the psychological features of the groups of people; b) the psychosocial atmosphere in the class; c) motivation to study and its explanatory theories; d) the analysis of the correlation of a psycho-social atmosphere of the class and motivation to study in the primary school. The conclusions as well as recommendations for teachers are at the end of the paper.
An appropriate environment stimulating the development of a creative, active and able to socialize personality, who would attempt to know not only the world around but also himself that is what should be established in schools. The question is how to reach this goal, are the children satisfied with the emotional atmosphere of the class, relations with the classmates as well as the teachers? What is the impact does it have on their study progress, motivation and how does the psychosocial atmosphere of the class interrelates with the child‘s willingness (or unwillingness) to learn?
The purpose of the analysis is to investigate the features and interrelation of psychosocial atmosphere of the class, the motivation to learn and the child‘s perspective towards himself as a pupil in the III – IV grades.
The fundamental goals of the paper: to clarify the motivation to learn among the III-IV grades children, the perspective of the children towards their own selves as pupils, the psychosocial atmosphere of the class and the impact of changes.
The theoretical, empirical... [to full text]
