No. of bitstreams: 0 / Este trabalho analisa a co-produção de serviços municipais como uma forma alternativa de reorganização dos municípios brasileiros. As análises feitas constatam que o modelo atual de administração pública municipal no Brasil revela-se inadequado, priveligiando a dimensão econômica em detrimento das demais dimensões da sociedade. Através desses programas, a sociedade municipal como um todo pode vislumbrar a possibilidade de melhorar a sua qualidade de vida voltada à promoção de seus valores humanos. O autor mostra a viabilidade prática dessa proposta através da apresentação de elaborações teóricas e de experiências co-produtivas verificadas em municípios brasileiros. Neste sentido, são feitas análises relativas a co-produção de serviços públicos municipais, onde os mesmos são definidos e também são delimitados os conceitos de administração pública municipal e de participação. Colocando que a população pode participar conjuntamente com a administração pública do município para a produção de serviços públicos municipais, o autor explica que o conselho de co-produção implica numa inovação da administração pública. Essa inovação refere-se a uma reorientação no modo de administrar a prestação de serviços públicos, que, no caso, possa ser feita integradamente entre cidadãos comuns e servidores públicos municipais.
