Rozvoj agroturistiky v horských a podhorských oblastech / Development of Agrotourism in Mountaneous and Submountaneous Regions

LEŠEK, Petr January 2007 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to introduce agrotourism to a particular company, which is run in foothills of the protected landscape area of Český les, as additional business activity based on sources provided by the farm, countryside and village inhabitants in agreement with the ideas of the sustainable development. It proposes new approaches to management, analyses the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to be faced. Besides that it acquaints with new ideas how to attract and keep up clients all the year round. One of the aims is to provide a potential stakeholder with a document that would help him when making decisions whether to include agrotourism into the portfolio of services or not. This document is actually a prospectus giving an insight into possible future development of business on the farm. Basically the prospectus theoretically copes with possible traps of real business and predicts cash flow and profit in each year.

Analysis of student aid investment management in the Federal Institute of Cearà Campus Jaguaribe / AnÃlise da gestÃo de investimentos em auxÃlios estudantis no Instituto Federal do Cearà Campus Jaguaribe

Eduardo Vieira da Cunha Ferraz 31 July 2014 (has links)
Instituto Federal do Cearà / The National Student Assistance Plan (PNAES) provides government subsidies to Federal Institutions of Higher Education (IFES) in order to combat situations of avoidance, retention and low academic performance. Trying to evaluate investment results, this study sought to examine the management of resources for student aid in combating truancy at the top level, testing the following hypotheses: a) the increase in the volume of student aid funds to minimize the phenomenon of evasion; b) the receipt of aid reduces the probability of dropping the subsidized student. From a methodology of dialectical approach, an exploratory field research in Jaguaribe campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the State of Cearà (IFCE) where documentary sources on evasion and investment aid were raised between years was performed 2011 and 2014, on which statistical correlation analysis and comparison of means were performed. Considering the limitations of the research, the test results indicated the effectiveness of the receipt of aid in the decision to keep the student in the course, leading to the conclusion that investment in aid has an important administrative role in combating student dropout. From the results of the analysis, we propose a method for managing investments in aid from the use of strategic indicators (BSC).

Mediální obraz vedení Národní galerie v Praze v letech 2010-2013 / Media coverage of management of The National Gallery in Prague, 2010-2013

Ondříčková, Oxana January 2017 (has links)
This thesis examines the media coverage and image of the National Gallery in Prague from 2010 till 2013. During this period, in 2011 Milan Knížák was removed from the post of Director of the National Gallery where he was since 1999. He was replaced by Vladimír Rösel, who was dismissed in 2013, Vít Vlnas was designated the director of the gallery in his stead. Jiří Fajt was selected as the Chief Director in July 2013, but he wasn't appointed until July 2014. The main source for research will be relevant articles published in the selected press (Lidové noviny, Právo, Mladá fronta DNES, Hospodářské noviny). The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze the way the media reported about events related to the management of the National Gallery in Prague. It will try to answer the question why this institution is given such weight and importance as to whether it is related to the concept of "national" in the name of the gallery. This can evoke the connection with other institutions that have this word in the name. There are some expectations connected to this "national" title, but there are also certain responsibilities associated with that. The work will also look at the media space given to the gallery's leadership and how the media express themselves considering this subject. This can fundamentally...

Analysis of Managerial Decision-Making within Florida’s Total Maximum Daily Load Program

Barthle, Justin 31 October 2016 (has links)
Water quality has evolved legislatively from protection of navigation routes and quantity of sources to more emphasis on impairments on water quality for surface and groundwater sources. Nonpoint or diffuse sources of impairments represents a major challenge for management due to the complexity of its sources and difficulty in tracking. The most cited sections on public policy analysis focuses on the overall process agencies employ to understand the results the program yields. Often overlooked are finer details and mechanisms, such as decision-making and priority setting, which have a great impact on the overall process. To investigate these factors, we need to analyze the decision-making process used by managers. This study focuses on using information from those with direct involvement in the establishment and implementation of the Total Maximum Daily Load program for the state of Florida. This study used decision-making analysis models from Rational-Decision-Making and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis concepts to construct questionnaires that looks to develop priorities as seen by managers’ preferences for several presented options. This methodology allowed us to structure the viewpoints and processes water quality managers use to breakdown decisions. The analyzed results show water quality managers prefer strong management options, involvement from stakeholders with scientific knowledge, and data collected from the source or point of impact. Interestingly, opinions in the group show that urban best management practices are considered more effective than their agriculture counterparts with a disfavor for volunteer derived data. Ultimately, the survey highlights the need for more robust enforcement and reliable measurement of non-point source of impairments. Continued public outreach and education, especially through workshops, are denoted as important tasks to completing successful TMDLs and should be expanded and strengthened by both the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and its boundary programs.
