Matrix representation for partitions and Mock Theta functions

Bagatini, Alessandro January 2016 (has links)
In this work, based on representations by matrices of two lines for some kind of partition (some already known and other new ones), we identify properties suggested by classifying them according to the sum of its second line. This sum always provides some properties of the related partition. If we consider unsigned versions of some Mock Theta Functions, its general term can be interpreted as generating function for some kind of partition with restrictions. To come back to the original coefficients, you can set a weight for each array and so add them to evaluate the coefficients. An analogous representation for partitions allows us to observe properties, again by classificating them according to the sum of its elements on the second row. This classification is made by means of tables created by mathematical software Maple, which suggest patterns, identities related to other known types of partitions and often, finding a closed formula to count them. Having established conjectured identities, all are proved by bijections between sets or counting methods.

Introducing Mock framework for Unit Test ina modeling environment

Braaf, Joakim January 2014 (has links)
Testing is an important part in the software development process. Unit testsaim to test individual units in isolation. These units may have dependenciesto their surroundings that make the units hard to test in isolation withoutalso testing the surrounding units. A technique to help isolate these units isto replace the surrounding units with mock objects. This work investigateshow a C++ mock framework can be integrated into a modeling environ-ment’s unit test framework. Several mock frameworks are evaluated, and aproof of concept is created to show that integration is possible. Additionally, ideas for how to use mocks in a model environment are presented.

Právní gramotnost studentů středních škol a její rozvoj pomocí simulovaných soudů / Legal literacy of high school students and its development via moot courts and mock trials

Adámková, Klára January 2017 (has links)
65 Summary This thesis describes legal literacy, importance of its development especially among young people and moot courts and mock trials as a method of its development. Legal literacy is important social topic, which is not sufficiently covered by academic literature. This thesis endeavours to describe the importance of legal literacy for individuals as well as for whole society using available sources. Particular consideration is given to legal literacy of young people, who have the opportunity to influence the society in long term perspective. Legal literacy development of young people can be realized by performing moot court or mock trial. These interactive teaching methods allow students to actively participate on their education. This increases students' interest in subject matter. This thesis analyzes these methods and determines that these are effective methods of legal literacy development. This is based on both theoretical and empirical research. Empirical data were acquired by questionnaire survey realized among 240 high school students, who attended moot court or mock trial organised within Street Law programme at Law Faculty of Charles University in 2016 or 2017. Keywords legal literacy, moot court, mock trial Thesis title Legal literacy of high school students and its development via moot...

Vytváření umělých dat pro testování webových aplikací / Web Application Testing with Mocked Data

Bruckner, Tomáš January 2017 (has links)
This work deals with creating and providing mocked data for applications that use REST interface to communicate between the client and server parts. From the various implementations of the REST interface, the work focuses only on OData standard. The project itself is mainly for SAP company. Naturally, even the libraries that are used in the final solution are from SAP. Primaly JavaScript framework SAPUI5 is used. The merit of this work is a library that facilitates the development of the client side of web applications. It fully supports CRUD operations over OData calls. Compared to other libraries creating mocked data that always return the same static data, this one simulates the behavior of the real server. So, when DELETE method is called for a specific entity, the given entity is deleted. This functionality is enabled by the client-side database created directly in the web browser, which corresponds to the database on the server side. A similar library for OData protocol does not exist, so it is a unique solution. The solution is verified using prepared web application.

Coating processes towards selective laser sintering of energetic material composites

Jiba, Zetu January 2019 (has links)
This research aims to contribute to the safe methodology for additive manufacturing (AM) of energetic materials. Coating formulation processes were investigated to find a suitable method that may enable selective laser sintering (SLS) as the safe method for fabrication of high explosive (HE) compositions. For safety and convenience reasons, the concept demonstration was conducted using inert explosive simulants with properties quasi-similar to the real HE. Coating processes for simulant RDX-based microparticles by means of PCL and 3,4,5- trimethoxybenzaldehyde (as TNT simulant) are reported. These processes were evaluated for uniformity of coating the HE inert simulant particles with binder materials to facilitate the SLS as the adequate binding and fabrication method. The critical constraints being the coating effectiveness required, spherical particle morphology, micron size range (>20 μm) and a good powder deposition and flow, and performance under SLS to make the method applicable for HEs. Of the coating processes investigated, suspension system and single emulsion methods gave required particle near spherical morphology, size and uniform coating. The suspension process appears to be suitable for the SLS of HE mocks and potential formulation methods for active HE composites. The density was estimated to be comparable with the current HE compositions and plastic bonded explosives (PBXs) such as C4 and PE4, produced from traditional methods. The formulation method developed and the understanding of the science behind the processes paves the way toward safe SLS of the active HE compositions and may open avenues for further research and development of munitions of the future. / Dissertation (MSc (Applied Science:Chemical Technology))--University of Pretoria, 2019. / Chemical Engineering / MSc (Applied Science:Chemical Technology) / Unrestricted

Impact of husband's and wife's alcohol use on juror perceptions of a woman who killed her abusive husband

Lawson, Chelsea Aileen 06 August 2011 (has links)
The current study was based on Hester and Jacquin’s (2011) study of juror bias in a trial in which a woman killed her abusive husband. Specifically, this study examined the influence of the husband’s alcohol use, the wife’s alcohol use, the wife’s diagnosis, and evidence of domestic violence on mock jurors (N = 518). Results indicated that the wife’s alcohol use impacted her negatively at trial. When she was intoxicated, jurors perceived her to be more to blame for her actions and for the abuse she received from her husband. Gender differences were present among mock jurors; females gave lower guilt ratings than males, suggesting that females sympathized with the female defendant.

Development of an electronic management unit to internal combustion engines of Otto cycle.

Albaladejo, Felipe Serafim 12 July 2013 (has links)
This paper focuses on the development of an electronic management unit which has the objective to control an Otto cycle internal combustion engine. This unit is composed by three separated blocks where each one of these blocks is composed by one specific hardware and software. The first block is named management and it is responsible to read all the engine sensors signals, to process these signals and to create with it some parameters of control that is transferred to the synchronism block through a SPI (Synchronous Peripheral Interface) communication. The synchronism block receives these parameters in order to control the nozzles and the ignition coils in the exact moment to keep the engine running perfectly. The third block is named communication/diagnoses and it is responsible to be the interface between the engine and the drivers and developers. So it monitores some engine information and it shows this information in a display, as well some possible faults that can occur with the use of it. Therefore, the main purpose of this work is to show how this electronic control unit was developed, some strategies used to control the engine and some practical results, by applying this electronic control unit in a real engine assembled in an iron base platform, named mock-up.

Billskog, David January 2007 (has links)
