Depois dos efeitos causados pela ionosfera, a refração que o sinal sofre ao ultrapassar a neutrosfera pode ser considerada como uma das maiores fontes de erro no sinal, a qual gera um atraso no mesmo, denominado Atraso Zenital Troposférico (em inglês, Zenithal Tropospheric Delay - ZTD). Esse atraso gera erros no posicionamento GNSS, quando não é devidamente modelado. Os modelos de Previsão Numérica de Tempo (PNT) são boas alternativas para minimizar esse problema, pois geram previsões do ZTD em uma grade regular. No Brasil está operacional no CPTEC/INPE um processo que gera tais previsões com resolução espacial de 15 km. No entanto, na elaboração da atual versão não se utiliza o melhor banco de dados atmosféricos sobre a América do Sul, o que é possível de se obter... / The positioning with the GNSS (GNSS - Global Navigation Satellite System) is the most used technique to obtain a location over terrestrial surface or close to it. After the effects generated by Ionosphere, the refraction that the signal suffers when it goes through the neutrosphere can be considered as one of the largest error sources in the signal, in which is generated a delay, called Zenithal Tropospheric Delay (ZTD). When the ZTD are not modeled, significant errors in the GNSS positioning are observed, Numerical Weather Prediction models are good alternatives to minimize this problem, because these models generate ZTD predictions in a regular grid. A process for the propose of generating ZTD predictions with 15 km of resolution is operational at CPTEC/INPE. Such proposal gains importance because the body, today, is retocável and modifiable for the individual in the spaces of modelações and physicist-aesthetic cares, over all in the medium and great urban centers of Brazil. It is observed, for the medias of mass, that the people are constantly being invited to retouch, to take care of, to treat and shape it some detail in its body. When leaving of the idea of that the people whom they frequent this space are stimulated sociocultural to adopt one better quality of life, objective to understand as if gives to the constitution of the body in the society contemporary, having as reference the stories of the citizens that practise physical activity. In specific way, I search to apprehend the sociocultural influences that if reveal in the daily relations produced in this environment identifying the nexus enter the transformations of modernity, its joints, specifications, contradictions. To give account of the defined objectives, I remained of October of 2003 the August of 2004 in the academy; I observed the produced relations there and I interviewed people who frequent that space. The procedures of field work had based on the suggestions of Machado Pais (2003) in the incursion of the daily one, while relations of permanent surprises, and in Clifford Geertz (1989), as for the techniques of interpretation of the symbolic productions. In the systematization of the data, I conclude that the corporal modulation is for beyond the health and, in the passage of the social visibility and of the new identities, the modulated body is one of the main instruments that make possible the production, participation, belonging and access to the goods and values in the contemporaneidade / Esta pesquisa aborda a temática do corpo na sociedade contemporânea, presente numa academia de ginástica. Tal proposta ganha importância porque o corpo, hoje, é retocável e modificável pelo indivíduo nos espaços de modelações e cuidados físico-estéticos, sobretudo nos médios e grandes centros urbanos do Brasil. Observa-se, pelos meios de comunicação de massa, que as pessoas estão constantemente sendo convidadas a retocar, a cuidar, a tratar e a modelar algum detalhe em seu corpo. Ao partir da idéia de que as pessoas que freqüentam este espaço são estimuladas socioculturalmente a adotarem uma melhor qualidade de vida, objetivo compreender como se dá a constituição do corpo na sociedade contemporânea, tendo como referência os relatos dos sujeitos que praticam atividade física. De modo específico, busco apreender as influências socioculturais que se manifestam nas relações diárias produzidas neste ambiente identificando o nexo entre as transformações da modernidade, suas articulações, especificações, contradições. Para dar conta dos objetivos definidos, permaneci de outubro de 2003 a agosto de 2004 na academia; observei as relações lá produzidas e entrevistei pessoas que freqüentam aquele espaço. Os procedimentos de trabalho de campo fundamentaram-se nas sugestões de Machado Pais (2003) na incursão do cotidiano, enquanto relações de permanentes surpresas, e em Clifford Geertz (1989), no que se refere às técnicas de interpretação das produções simbólicas.
