A critical edition of Moreto's De fuera vendraMonahan, Caroline January 1967 (has links)
The text of this edition is based on the one found in the Primera parte de las comedias de don Agustin Moreto y Cabaña published in Madrid in 1654 by Diego Dí́az de la Carrera, a xerox copy of which I obtained from the British Museum.
In its preparation, the original orthography and accentuation have been preserved as a matter of linguistic interest, but the punctuation has been generally modernized. All stage directions are given as originally written, but the apartes are in the main taken from the text appearing in Vol. 39 of the Biblioteca de Autores Españoles 1950 edition, as there are none in the original. Such added material will be enclosed in brackets.
I have included in this edition a resume of Moreto's life and works, a synopsis and an evaluation of the play, together with a list of the principal editions, versification tables, notes and a selected bibliography. / Arts, Faculty of / French, Hispanic, and Italian Studies, Department of / Graduate
