關鍵鏈專案管理中多重專案排程與控制之緩衝管理方法研究 / Buffer Management for Multi Project Scheduling and Control in Critical Chain Project Management

吳敬賢, Nuntasukasame, Noppadon Unknown Date (has links)
無 / Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) has merged in last few years as a novel approach for managing projects. While there were many previous researches studied CCPM concerning with single project management, but CCPM multi project management was hardly paid attention, especially capacity-constraint buffer sizing approach. However, there were some research papers which examined and illustrated CCPM under multi-project environment; those papers assumed all the subprojects were identical. Despite the fact that such situation is impractical. The purpose of this dissertation is to compare Cut and paste method (C&PM) with Root square error method (RSEM) for applying in project buffer, feeding buffer and capacity-constraint buffer sizing and to change some subproject parameters which make an impact on the project schedule for multi-project scheduling. Keywords: Critical chain project management, Multi Project Scheduling, Buffer Management, Capacity constraint buffer, Buffer sizing method.

O projeto da produção e a programação multi-projetos integrados a um sistema de administração de produção para a construção civil / The production design and the multi-project scheduling integrated with a production management system for civil construction

Santos, Myrian Tizuko Sassaki 14 December 2001 (has links)
The production process in the Civil Construction environment is approached according to some management principles that reinforce concepts from Production Engineering. To obtain Quality in production through the competitive criterion, which comprehends fast delivery time and on-time delivery, it is fundamental the integration between Product Design and production through Production Design. The planning process requires the use of procedures to support the decision-making process concerning global production systems in construction companies. Thus scheduling would be an essential stage for the acquisition of decision consistence. This dissertation deals with the resource-constrained Project Scheduling Problem using a heuristic method based on priority rules. Heuristic procedures are used to obtain a good solution to the problem in a practical and satisfactory way. The method uses Microsoft Project as a supporting tool to deal with the projects with more agility and flexibility. The priority rules are based on management criteria adopted by the companies. The method is based on the category of heuristic procedures known as Job Oriented Heuristic Scheduling, since the project priority degrees orient the steps of the multi-project scheduling.

Mot en lärande multiprojektorganisation

How can a multi project organisation use Wiki to support improvement of knowledge management and project evaluation to become a learning organisation? The main purpose of this thesis is to give management and employees a better understanding of how Wiki supports knowledge management and project evaluation. The second purpose is to illustrate possible difficulties and pit falls that comes with the implementation of Wiki based learning. The theoretical framework initiates by explaining multi project organizations, then describes Argyris and Schöns theories about organizational learning and learning organizations. The second half of the theory chapter brings up theories about important areas for a learning organization. We have used a qualitative approach to gather profound data for the study. The empirical framework presents the fallout of the interviews we had with the studied company. Our study demonstrates how Wikis can be a great support to improve knowledge management and project evaluation. A Wiki functions as a knowledge repository that integrates divisions in an organization and facilitates to take part of, document and share knowledge. The study also demonstrates that problems can occur when implementing a Wiki. This is shown by managerial resistance due to the attitude towards knowledge management and an uncertainty about quality control of a Wiki’s content. To answer this resistance the employees can suggest a demonstration where they during a period of time use Wiki to describe when it could have benefited them in the daily activities. To be follow up with a trialperiod if the outcome is successful.

Understanding Fire Fighting in New Product Development

Repenning, Nelson 03 1900 (has links)
Despite documented benefits, the processes described in the new product development literature often prove difficult to follow in practice. A principal source of such difficulties is the phenomenon of fire fighting the unplanned allocation of resources to fix problems discovered late in a product's development cycle. While it has been widely criticized, fire fighting is a common occurrence in many product development organizations. To understand both its existence and persistence, in this article I develop a formal model of fire fighting in a multi-project development environment. The major contributions of this analysis are to suggest that: (1) fire fighting can be a self-reinforcing phenomenon; and (2) multi-project development systems are far more susceptible to this dynamic than is currently appreciated. These insights suggest that many of the current methods for aggregate resource and product portfolio planning, while necessary, are not sufficient to prevent fire fighting and the consequent low performance. / MIT Center for Innovation in Product Development under NSF Cooperative Agreement Number EEC-9529140, the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the Ford Motor Company

Validating the core problem of project portfolio management in a multi-project environment

De Klerk, Schalk Willem 02 January 2006 (has links)
The project portfolio management process is characterised by a series of stages and gates where a project needs to pass the set criteria at that given point in order to continue to the next phase of the process. In this paper it is postulated that project portfolio management, in a multi-project environment, suffers from a core problem referred to as the release-problem. The release-problem serves as the catalyst that causes seven undesirable effects to occur within the project portfolio management environment. These undesirable effects lead to delays that hamper the rate of work the system is able to complete, complicates managerial decision-making and jeopardises the four desired outcomes of project portfolio management. / Dissertation (MSc)--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Graduate School of Technology Management (GSTM) / MSc / Unrestricted

Multiprojektové prostředí outsourcingu / Multi-Project Environment in Outsourcing

Blažík, Radek January 2013 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the issue of managing a group of projects from the perspective of an outsourcing provider. The goals of this master thesis are to define the area of multi-project environment in outsourcing, describe features of a real example of such environment, identify characteristic features in them and design a set of recommendations for its efficient management. In the first part, the area and conditions of multi-project environment in outsourcing are defined. Subsequently, the theoretical knowledge in literature is analyzed. The second part focuses on practical research in a real organization dealing with this kind of project management. First, the methodology of the research is defined, then the results are described in detail. Using the previously collected knowledge the third part identifies features which are typical for multi-project environment in outsourcing. This means those areas which require attention and can be generalized in this field of project management. Based on the previous knowledge, the fourth part sets recommendations for efficient management of multi-project environment in outsourcing within identified characteristics. The original contribution of this master thesis is the definition of multi-project environment in outsourcing, identification of its characteristic features and set of recommendations for its efficient management.
