Neste trabalho de mestrado realizou-se o estudo do histórico de museus e da educação nos museus brasileiros ao longo dos séculos XIX e XX, observando estratégias que incentivaram a aproximação do público com a obra de arte original. As ações educativas isoladas do início da história museológica permanecem até hoje, embora atualmente existam setores organizados desenvolvendo ações educativas sistematizadas, utilizando metodologias atuais de ensino da arte, leitura dos códigos visuais, atitudes pedagógicas de recepção e mediação de público e estratégias utilizando a experiência estética proporcionada pelas próprias obras de arte. Registra-se a análise de casos: MAC-USP, MAC-Niterói e MAC-RS, com a apresentação do universo de cada um desses três museus, desde a história de sua formação até a as metodologias e programas educativos desenvolvidos por eles. Aborda-se também o contexto histórico da transformação da função dos museus desde a Antigüidade até os de arte moderna e contemporânea no Brasil onde se nota que os fatos históricos não apresentam linearidade suficiente que conduza a resultados ou conseqüências previsíveis. Finalmente, faz-se uma reflexão sobre o papel político da ação educativa na instituição, considerando seu caráter educativo e a necessidade de democratizar os espaços museológicos, facilitando, assim, o acesso à obra de arte original, refletindo a idéia de um museu para todos. / At this work of master degree it was done the historic analysis of museums and of the education at Brazilian museums on the 19th and 20th centuries, noticing strategies that stimulate the contact of the public with the original work of art. Isolate educative actions from the beginning of museum history remain until today, even so there are some organized sectors developing systemized educative actions, by the use of current methodologies of art education, with the lecture of visual codes, pedagogical activities of reception and presentation to the public, including the use of strategies of aesthetic experience given by the proper works of art. It is registered the analysis of MAC-USP, MAC-Niterói and MAC-RS, presenting the history from their beginning to their specific methodologies and educational programs. It is also commented the historic transformation of the museums functional activities since ancient times up to modern and contemporary art museums in Brazil. It is observed that historic events do not have enough linearity that may lead to foreseen results or consequences. At last, it is analyzed the political role of the educational action at the museums, considering its educational character and the urgent need to open the space of the museums to people, thus providing the access to the original works of art and the idea that museum is for all.

It develops an analysis of some exhibition's proposals and their conceptions of educational processes, considering them as alternatives to the approch between contemporary art and the public. For that, it reports three proposals, as the focus of the pressuposing relationships that it would be established among their interlocutors and the art of our time. Moreover, it presents some parallels with the concepts related to educational processes intended on these art exhibitions, as well as their new interactions that is now established among the public, artwork and art space and their interrelationships. Thus the possibilities of dialogue between the enunciatee public and the exhibition's enunciators are important references for the analysis. Finally, it is crucial to consider, as one of the goals of this research, highlighting the relevant aspects of the cases reviewed, specific or common, which offers possible contributions to the future of educational action on exhibition spaces for contemporary art / O presente trabalho parte do distanciamento que se observa entre o público e a arte contemporânea. Desenvolve-se uma análise de propostas expositivas e suas respectivas concepções de processos educacionais, considerando-as como alternativas de aproximação entre arte contemporânea e o público. Para tanto, ir-se-á relatar três propostas, tomando-as como foco das relações pressupostas que se estabeleceriam entre seus interlocutores e a arte do nosso tempo. Além disso, propõe-se formar paralelos entre os conceitos relacionados aos processos educacionais pretendidos nestas exposições de arte, como também as novas interações que ora se estabelecem entre público, trabalho artístico e espaço de arte e suas respectivas inter-relações. Assim, as possibilidades de interlocuções entre o público enunciatário e os enunciadores das exposições serão importantes referenciais para a análise. Por fim, é importante considerar, como um dos objetivos desta investigação, o destaque dos aspectos relevantes nos casos analisados, específicos ou comuns, que sejam passíveis de contribuição para propostas futuras de ação educacional em espaços expositivos destinados à arte contemporânea
