Návrh řešení pro efektivní analýzu bezpečnostních dat / Design of a Solution for Effective Analysis of Security DataPodlesný, Šimon January 2021 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to design architecture capable of processing big data with focus on data leaks. For this purpose multiple data storage systems were described a and compared. The proposed architecture can load, process, store and access data for analytic purposes while taking into account authentication and authorisation of users and principles of modern agile infrastructure.

Processing data sources with big data frameworks / Behandla datakällor med big data-ramverkNyström, Simon, Lönnegren, Joakim January 2016 (has links)
Big data is a concept that is expanding rapidly. As more and more data is generatedand garnered, there is an increasing need for efficient solutions that can be utilized to process all this data in attempts to gain value from it. The purpose of this thesis is to find an efficient way to quickly process a large number of relatively small files. More specifically, the purpose is to test two frameworks that can be used for processing big data. The frameworks that are tested against each other are Apache NiFi and Apache Storm. A method is devised in order to, firstly, construct a data flow and secondly, construct a method for testing the performance and scalability of the frameworks running this data flow. The results reveal that Apache Storm is faster than Apache NiFi, at the sort of task that was tested. As the number of nodes included in the tests went up, the performance did not always do the same. This indicates that adding more nodes to a big data processing pipeline, does not always result in a better performing setup and that, sometimes, other measures must be made to heighten the performance.

Implementation and Evaluation of a DataPipeline for Industrial IoT Using ApacheNiFiVilhelmsson, Lina, Sjöberg, Pontus January 2020 (has links)
In the last few years, the popularity of Industrial IoT has grown a lot, and it is expected to have an impact of over 14 trillion USD on the global economy by 2030. One application of Industrial IoT is using data pipelining tools to move raw data from industry machines to data storage, where the data can be processed by analytical instruments to help optimize the industrial operations. This thesis analyzes and evaluates a data pipeline setup for Industrial IoT built with the tool Apache NiFi. A data flow setup was designed in NiFi, which connected an SQL database, a file system, and a Kafka topic to a distributed file system. To evaluate the NiFi data pipeline setup, some tests were conducted to see how the system performed under different workloads. The first test consisted of determining which size to merge a FlowFile into to get the lowest latency, the second test if data from the different data sources should be kept separate or be merged together. The third test was to compare the NiFi setup with an alternative setup, which had a Kafka topic as an intermediary between NiFi and the endpoint. The first test showed that the lowest latency was achieved when merging FlowFiles together into 10 kB files. In the second test, merging together FlowFiles from all three sources gave a lower latency than keeping them separate for larger merging sizes. Finally, it was shown that there was no significant difference between the two test setups.

Apache Hadoop jako analytická platforma / Apache Hadoop as analytics platformBrotánek, Jan January 2017 (has links)
Diploma Thesis focuses on integrating Hadoop platform into current data warehouse architecture. In theoretical part, properties of Big Data are described together with their methods and processing models. Hadoop framework, its components and distributions are discussed. Moreover, compoments which enables end users, developers and analytics to access Hadoop cluster are described. Case study of batch data extraction from current data warehouse on Oracle platform with aid of Sqoop tool, their transformation in relational structures of Hive component and uploading them back to the original source is being discussed at practical part of thesis. Compression of data and efficiency of queries depending on various storage formats is also discussed. Quality and consistency of manipulated data is checked during all phases of the process. Fraction of practical part discusses ways of storing and capturing stream data. For this purposes tool Flume is used to capture stream data. Further this data are transformed in Pig tool. Purpose of implementing the process is to move part of data and its processing from current data warehouse to Hadoop cluster. Therefore process of integration of current data warehouse and Hortonworks Data Platform and its components, was designed
