Odstraňování mikropolutantů při úpravě pitné vody / Removal of micropolutants in drinking water treatmentHambálková, Kateřina January 2008 (has links)
Intrusion of pharmaceuticals into surface and drinking water is nowadays a problem, that is solved all over the world. This diploma thesis is focused on the removal of pharmaceuticals from water by coagulation. The efficiency of two coagulant agents - chitosan and ferric sulphate was compared. For comparison was used adsorption on a granular-activated-carbon. Efficiency of removal was investigated by UV-VIS spectrophotometer and HPLC.

Přenos signalizace pro internetovou televizi / Signalling Transmission for Internet TelevisionBurget, Radim January 2010 (has links)
A signalization in an Internet protocol environment is commonly used for monitoring quality of service and other parameters of a network. This thesis is involved in transmission of signalization through internet protocol networks and proposes scalable solution for small and even for large-scale internet television broadcasting. The main contribution of this thesis lies in design and validation of optimal hierarchical tree on the basis of resources assigned. This is done in respect to geographical distance, network distance of each particular member of the hierarchical structure. For the design of algorithms simulations and global experimental network were used.

Serverová aplikace pro zpracování dat z databáze MySQL a jejich interpretaci / Server application to process data from a MySQL database and their interpretationGardian, Ján January 2016 (has links)
Diploma thesis is about creating server application that process and interprets data from the database. Main aim of such application is able to process a large number of database requests in real-time environment. Provided database contains records of measuring download speed and quality of mobile connection via different radio technology from various providers. Those measured data are sent from users all around the world and amount of data collected is still growing. Therefore created server application can adapt to increasing size of database thanks to aggregation. This method of aggregation and use of index in database tables are further discussed in the theoretical part. Mainly putting indexes in tables produce significant acceleration of processing database requests. Final product of this thesis is an application that consist of three components: a server application running aggregation, website that interprets measured data and back-end interface providing measured data as well. Data at the website are presented in form of graphs for different countries and used radio technologies. Web address and user manual for finished applications are provided in the fourth chapter of diploma thesis. In the last part of thesis are performed various speed tests of programmed application that confirm the effectiveness of selected and described methods to accelerate work with the database.

Řízení datového toku v ISP síti / Data flow control in ISP networkDůbrava, Marek January 2016 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the control of data flow in networks of Internet service providers. The problem of aggregation and related overload network elements are shown. Theoretical section describes the standardized methods for managing data flow. The parameters associated with managing data flow are described for devices selected devices. The thesis displays measurements depicting to which extent the ECN algorithm occurs in practice. In the thesis is theoretically described HTB program, which is complemented by a newly described algorithm. The new algorithm is implemented into the program and tested on a real network ISP.

Modifikace nanočástic za letu pomocí chemicky aktivního plazmatu / In-flight modification of nanoparticles by chemically active plasmaLibenská, Hana January 2019 (has links)
Title: In-flight modification of nanoparticles by chemically active plasma Author: Hana Libenská Department: Department of Macromolecular Physics Supervisor: Mgr. Jan Hanuš Ph.D., Department of Macromolecular Physics Abstract: This diploma thesis is focused on a fabrication of the iron nanoparticles using the gas aggregation source with a planar magnetron and their in flight modification by chemically active plasma. The modification of the nanoparticles is based on a radiofrequency glow discharge, that takes place right after the nanoparticles flew out of the gas aggregation source. Nanoparticles are prepared in an argon atmosphere in which a small amount of the n-hexane has been admixed. This n-hexane impurity caused an increase in a deposition rate and higher time stability. The modification takes place in a glow discharge containing a pure argon, or in the mixtures of argon with n-hexane, ethylendiamine, hydrogen or nitrogen. Prepared nanoparticles were characterized using the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and other techniques. The main aim of this work was to study the influence of the additional discharge on the iron nanoparticles. The chemical composition of the nanoparticles was measured immediatelly after their deposition without...

Advanced Protocols for Peer-to-Peer Data Transmission in Wireless Gigabit NetworksFriedrich, Jan 04 September 2020 (has links)
This thesis tackles problems on IEEE 802.11 MAC layer, network layer and application layer, to further push the performance of wireless P2P applications in a holistic way. It contributes to the better understanding and utilization of two major IEEE 802.11 MAC features, frame aggregation and block acknowledgement, to the design and implementation of opportunistic networks on off-the-shelf hardware and proposes a document exchange protocol, including document recommendation.
First, this thesis contributes a measurement study of the A-MPDU frame aggregation behavior of IEEE 802.11n in a real-world, multi-hop, indoor mesh testbed. Furthermore, this thesis presents MPDU payload adaptation (MPA) to utilize A-MPDU subframes to increase the overall throughput under bad channel conditions. MPA adapts the size of MAC protocol data units to channel conditions, to increase the throughput and lower the delay in error-prone channels. The results suggest that under erroneous conditions throughput can be maximized by limiting the MPDU size.
As second major contribution, this thesis introduces Neighborhood-aware OPPortunistic networking on Smartphones (NOPPoS). NOPPoS creates an opportunistic, pocket-switched network using current generation, off-the-shelf mobile devices. As main novel feature, NOPPoS is highly responsive to node mobility due to periodic, low-energy scans of its environment, using Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements.
The last major contribution is the Neighborhood Document Sharing (NDS) protocol. NDS enables users to discover and retrieve arbitrary documents shared by other users in their proximity, i.e. in the communication range of their IEEE 802.11 interface. However, IEEE 802.11 connections are only used on-demand during file transfers and indexing of files in the proximity of the user. Simulations show that NDS interconnects over 90 \% of all devices in communication range.
Finally, NDS is extended by the content recommendation system User Preference-based Probability Spreading (UPPS), a graph-based approach. It integrates user-item scoring into a graph-based tag-aware item recommender system. UPPS utilizes novel formulas for affinity and similarity scoring, taking into account user-item preference in the mass diffusion of the recommender system. The presented results show that UPPS is a significant improvement to previous approaches.
