An investigation of the relationship between elementary school organization reestablishing and organization efficiency.Chien, Shu-Pin 25 August 2003 (has links)
This study is aimed to investigate the relationship of organization reestablishing of elementary schools and organization efficiency. The purposes of the study are as follows:
1.Investigating the meaning and content of administration organization reestablishing of elementary schools.
2.Understanding the consensus of the elementary school staffs on organization reestablishing.
3.Understanding the differences among the elementary school staffs on organization reestablishing and organization efficiency.
4.Analyzing the relationship between elementary school organization reestablishing and organization efficiency.
5.Providing practical suggestions to educational administration institutes according to the results of the study.
Literature analysis, survey, and interviews are adopted in this study. In literature analysis, the related literature of organization reestablishing and organization efficiency is analyzed to make the implement and to induct the theoretical model. Then, the study is structured by the ¡§ the program of administration organization reestablishing and human resources planning of middle schools and elementary schools¡¨ implemented by Education Bureau in the school year of 2002. In surveys, the schools, which participated ¡§the program of administration organization reestablishing and human resources planning of middle schools and elementary schools¡¨, are sampled. The number of the persons sampled is 800. The self- edited ¡§questionnaire of the relationship of elementary school organization reestablishing and organization efficiency¡¨ and ¡§semi- structured interview¡¨ are used in the study. Data collected are analyzed through SPSS. Item analysis, factor analysis, mean scores, standard deviation, product- moment correlation, t test, ANOVA, and regression analysis are processed. In field interviews, 2 schools are selected. Six people, including the principal, directors and section chiefs, in each school are interviewed by ¡§semi- structured interview¡¨.
The results of the study are as follows:
1.The cognition of the explanations of organization reestablishing
A.Elementary staffs gain initial consensus on ¡§organization reestablishing¡¨.
B.Elementary school principals and directors have better cognition than teachers on ¡§organization reestablishing¡¨.
C.Male principals have high cognition on ¡§actuating school-base management¡¨.
D.Teachers who have served for more than 30 years have high cognition on ¡§activating school organization¡¨ than teachers who have served less than 10 years.
E.Staffs working in the countryside have high cognition on ¡§actuating school-base management¡¨.
2.Cognition on the content of organization reestablishing
A.Elementary school staffs have high consensus on ¡§content of organization reestablishing¡¨.
B.Elementary school staffs serving in the city area have high perception on ¡§content of organization reestablishing¡¨.
C.Female principals have high cognition on ¡§reducing responsibility¡¨ and ¡§functioning¡¨.
D.Educators in the schools that have established for less than 10 yeas have highest scores on ¡§reducing responsibility¡¨.
3. Cognition on the elementary school organization efficiency
A.Elementary school staffs have initial consensus on the integrated perception of ¡§organization efficiency¡¨.
B.Teachers in the elementary schools containing 25~48 classes have higher perception on organization efficiency.
C.Staffs in the elementary schools containing less than 12 classes or over 49 classes have high perception on organization atmosphere.
D.Staffs in the elementary schools that have established for less than 10 years or over 21 years have high perception on organization efficiency.
E.Staffs in the elementary schools that have established for over 21 years have high acceptance on organization efficiency.
3.The relationship between explanation of reestablishing, content of reestablishing and organization efficiency.
A.The more they accept the explanation the higher scores they get on organization efficiency.
B.The more they accept the content of organization reestablishing the higher score they get on organization efficiency.
C.Significant positive correlation is found between the perception of elementary school organization reestablishing and organization efficiency.
D.Significant positive correlation is found between the perception of the content of elementary school organization reestablishing and organization efficiency.
E.The degree of acceptance of the explanation of organization reestablishing of elementary school staffs can predict significantly organization efficiency.
F.The degree of acceptance of the content of organization reestablishing of elementary school staffs can predict significantly organization efficiency.
G.The explanation and content of reestablishment can significantly predict organization efficiency.
According to the above conclusion, the study provide following suggestions:
1. Suggestions to Educational Administration Institute
A.Improve the promotion of the policy and communication and listen to the opinions from the education staffs.
B.Revise Civil Education Law and its bylaws to actuate the spirit of organization reestablishing.
C.Increase the number of school clerks, and some of the section chiefs should be taken charge by the clerks to make administration more professional.
2. Suggestions to Elementary School
A.Adjust the organization structure of each divisions with the Civil Education Law and its bylaws to meet school¡¦s need and enhance administration efficiency.
B.Enhance elementary school teacher¡¦s perception of organization reestablishing through consistent communication.
3. Suggestions to future studies
A.Extend sampling subjects.
B.Increase study variables.
C.Combine other study methods and have long-term and follow- up studies.
D.Improve study implement
E.Have further investigation on organization efficiency.

Relatively, its manager's leadership behavior and the organization performances, also have a difference with the privately operated enterprise. In recent years world¡¦s advanced countries impelled¡yReengineering Government¡z, the study enterprise was in vogue¡yBusiness Process Reengineering¡z, proposed served the idea to take the government as the customer guidance, expected the affiliation was reborn by organization's leadership behavior, changed tradition administration organization culture operation pattern, adapted the fast change environment, satisfied the populace to the government service request. The government department may from the service populace's viewpoint, readjust, the design administration organization and the administrative flow, achievement organization of performances the government department.
The research take "the leadership behavior, the organization culture, the organization performances", discusses the correlation of the government department in the leadership behavior, the organization culture, and the organization performances. This research takes the questionnaire survey, is of department manager by way of the Tainan municipal government civil administration bureau correlation (municipal government civil administration bureau, household politics office and various areas geographical unit of government) is the research object, effectively asked the volume returns-ratio is 71.33% (sends asks a question volume 150, effectively asked volume 107), by way of the statistical analysis process, after reorganize the induction, this research discovered:

A Study on the Restructuring of the Administrative Organization Within elementary schools in Kaohsiung CityYen, Yu-Shian 11 August 2005 (has links)
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the restructuring of the administrative organization in Kaohsiung City¡¦s elementary schools. It further analyzes the perception of educators with different independent variables toward the workload of elementary school administrative units, adjustment of business coverage of different units, adjustment of organization structure of school administration, and the adjustment of staffing. This study randomly samples 660 subjects, including 44 elementary school principals, 88 unit directors, 176 section chiefs, and 352 teachers without administrative duties. A total of 502 questionnaires were returned and 498 were evaluated as valid.
The method of questionnaire survey is adopted in this research to collect data with the help of the tool: ¡§A questionnaire for exploring the restructure of the administration organization in Kaohsiung City¡¦s elementary schools¡¨. Data obtained in this study are analyzed by the descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and two-way ANOVA. The major findings of this study are as follows:
I.Most school educators consider that the workload of differentadministrative units is heavy.
II.Most school educators consider that the organizational adjustment ofadministrative units and sections is not necessary.
III.Most school educators consider that the policy about the adjustmentof school staffing is not necessary.
IV.The effect of background variables on the school educators¡¦ perception toward the workload of different administrative units is significant.
V.The effect of background variables on the school educators¡¦ perception toward the organizational adjustment of different administrative units and sections is significant.
VI.The effect of background variables on the school educators¡¦perception toward the policy of adjusting the school staffingis significant.
VII.Over 60% of the school educators admit that the wordload of ¡§Computer Equipment Maintenance¡¨ of Information Section is too heavy and should consider the way of labor outsourcing.¡@
VIII.All subjects believe that the Section Chief of General Affairs Office should be taken charge by the clerks; among 30% of all subjects, the most urgent need to be appointed are listed in order: General Affairs Section and Cashier¡¦s Section. The next in order are Section Chiefs of Information Section and Equipment Section.
VIIII.On the premise that the total number of the staffing quota keep to the status quo, the subjects believe that the most urgent need to be increased is the number of teachers, while the most urgent need to be reduced is the number of janitors.
Finally, several specific suggestions based on the research findings are proposed to the educational administrative authorities, school administration system, and the further studies in the future.

Abstract
This study tries to research hospital organization culture of a private medical center in Taiwan region and tries to provide a reference data when this hospital wants to do their organization¡¦s diagnosis. This research¡¦s analysis has been finished by one case study and quality research method. About interview data totality are twenty-one cases, among which six cases are to be part of group¡¦s interview; the other fifteen cases are individual¡¦s interview.
The analysis tools of this study according to Schein¡¦s read method of organization culture research and then to obtain below conclusions, including:
(1) The nature of human activity named hospital¡¦s orientation, its basic assumption is ¡§being-in-becoming¡¨ orientation, and its values include two types: self-reliance and morality of medical matters. (2) The nature of human nature named management orientation, its basic assumption is human are thought to be motivated by monetary considerations, while in others employees are thought to be motivated by need for social approval or the potential for self-actualizations; and its values include also two types: permissive management and esteem one¡¦s own master in medicine matters. (3) The basic assumption of nature of reality and truth is that who own power and he also can to make decision, its value is authority center. (4) The basis assumption of the nature of time is past-time orientation, its values is to cherish past feelings. (5) The basic assumption of the nature of space is to strengthen one¡¦s territory, its values seems castle style. (6) The basic assumption of the nature of human relationship is simulate-familism, it values include the deep-seated feelings of employee toward to their organization, personal friendships, employee to comply with the preceding generation and leaders concern about their employees.
Furthermore, the propositions are as follows:
Proposition 1: If one who don¡¦t have some kind of relationship or don¡¦t support by authority group, employee can¡¦t do what he want to do in his professional field in simulate-familism organization.
Proposition 2: In simulate-familism organization, personal friendship within sectors will more obvious than being between different departments.
Proposition 3: When organization functions have been to divide more diversity, its managers of each unit will display his personal leadership.

But these organizations still face the difficulties from management. As Peter Drucker said, non-profit organizations should focus and manage by their mission. This concept is similar to Jim Collins¡¦ point of view that he indicated in ¡§Built to Last¡¨. Jim¡¦s research showed that most ¡§excellent organizations¡¨ never focus only on their profit, but also tried to achieve some thing more. Different from the companies in the second sector, non-profit organizations provide public-services, and can barely earned profit from these services. Therefore weather the leaders can motivate members in non-profit organizations and develop suitable strategies to create better services is the key factor of their success. But how do the leaders lead their members to achieve the mission? Base on the background the main purposes of this study are to examine the NPO leaders¡¦ traits and styles. To find out how leaders react when facing different organization types and different organization conditions.
Because the complexity of leadership in management field. This study mainly used literature analysis and in-depth interview as research method. After interviewed six NPOs, this study coded the interview content into three parts as conclusions:
