A qualificação profissional de encarcerados da colônia penal agroindustrial do ParanáKoliski, José Luiz 12 March 2015 (has links)
A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar os limites e possibilidades da qualificação profissional para reinserção econômica e social de encarcerados, tomando como referência a Colônia Penal Agroindustrial do Paraná. Apoia-se nos fundamentos teóricos e metodológicos do Materialismo Histórico e Dialético, e utiliza como instrumento de coleta de dados a entrevista individual semiestruturada realizada com dezessete encarcerados participantes de atividades educativas e laborais. Os principais resultados apontam que o perfil socioeconômico da população carcerária, caracterizado pela baixa escolaridade, falta de qualificação profissional, e a ocupação de empregos precários, contribui para o ingresso na criminalidade e, consequentemente, o encarceramento. O segundo aspecto constatado foi o caráter contraditório da prisão em sua finalidade punitiva e ressocializadora, tendo por meta simultânea punir e reinserir o condenado à sociedade. Por fim a qualificação profissional, compreendida amplamente como uma relação social, articulando-se formação geral, profissional e prática, reduz-se a cursos curtos e aligeirados, prescindindo da escolaridade e da integração entre educação geral e profissional, sequer atendendo às demandas de mercado. As evidências apontadas permitem inferir que os programas de qualificação profissional são ineficientes e ineficazes na reinserção econômica e social dos encarcerados. O trabalho na prisão, de caráter produtivo e educativo, cumpre apenas a função produtiva, predatoriamente explorado por empresas privadas, significando para o encarcerado muito mais uma possibilidade de amenizar as condições carcerárias e de remição da pena, do que sua profissionalização. / This research aims to analyze the limits and possibilities of professional qualification for economic and social rehabilitation of prisoners, with reference to the Penal Colony Agroindustrial of Paraná. It builds on theoretical and methodological foundations of the Historical and Dialectical Materialism and uses as data collection tool semi-structured individual interviews conducted with seventeen imprisoned participants of educational and professional activities. The main results show that the socioeconomic profile of the prison population, characterized by low education, lack of professional qualification, and the occupation of precarious jobs, contributes to entry into the crime and hence incarceration. The second aspect was noted the contradictory nature of the arrest at his punitive and ressocializadora purpose, with the simultaneous goal punish and reinsert the condemned to society. Finally the qualification, widely understood as a social relation, articulating general education, professional and practical, reduce the short and streamlined courses, regardless of education and integration between general and vocational education, even taking into account the market demands. The evidence presented allow us to infer that vocational training programs are inefficient and ineffective in the economic and social rehabilitation of prisoners. Prison labor, productive and educational, only fulfills the productive function, predatory operated by private companies, meaning for the imprisoned very much a possibility to ease prison conditions and redemption pen, your professionalism.

Acompanha: Química para a educação de jovens e adultos com a temática água: material complementar / A contextualização na abordagem Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade (CTS) vem sendo defendida por educadores e pesquisadores, como um princípio norteador de uma educação voltada à cidadania. A utilização da abordagem CTS pode contribuir para a aprendizagem de conhecimentos científicos e tecnológicos e de sua relação com a sociedade. O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma pesquisa sobre o Ensino de Química e, a partir desta, desenvolver material didático para a Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). Após a realização de um estudo teórico sobre as diferentes abordagens no Ensino de Química, foi realizado um levantamento junto aos professores de Química que atuam na EJA sobre as expectativas e desafios de trabalhar a Química com educandos jovens e adultos. Foram investigados os desafios enfrentados no cotidiano pedagógico quanto à questão da adequação do material didático, frente às dificuldades de aprendizagem dos educandos, às orientações didáticas no trato com os conteúdos, às atividades educativas, textos apresentando temas com abordagens contextualizadas no tocante à produção do conhecimento, estabelecendo uma relação cotidiano e científico. Para tanto, foi elaborado material didático para o Ensino de Química com o tema água na abordagem CTS. Esse material didático foi disponibilizado para que os educadores realizassem uma avaliação da proposta desenvolvida. Os educadores entrevistados consideraram que o material pode ser utilizado como material complementar com educandos da EJA. As principias características consideradas importantes pelos participantes foram a organização do material, apresentação textos interessantes; linguagem acessível para o educando e as sugestões de vídeos. Foram citadas várias possibilidades de uso do Material Didático Complementar (MDC) sendo por completo ou algumas de suas unidades. No Ensino de Química na EJA devido a carência de recursos e materiais adequados, o MDC desenvolvido, utilizando a temática água em uma abordagem CTS, representa uma contribuição para a EJA. / Educators and researchers have advocated the contextualization approach in Science, Technology and Society (STS), as a guiding principle of education focused on citizenship. The use of the STS approach can contribute to the learning of scientific and technological knowledge and its relationship with society. The objective of this study was to conduct a research on the teaching of chemistry and, from this, develop teaching materials for the Youth and Adult Education (YAE). After conducting a theoretical study of the different approaches in teaching chemistry, it was conducted a survey to chemistry teachers working in adult education on the expectations and challenges of working chemistry with young students and adults. The challenges faced in teaching daily were investigated on the question of the adequacy of the teaching material, opposite the learning difficulties of the students, the teaching guidelines in dealing with content, educational activities, texts presenting themes with approaches contextualized in relation to the production of knowledge, establishing a routine and scientific relationship. To that end, it developed educational materials for the teaching chemistry with the theme water in the STS approach. This educational material was made available for these educators developed an evaluation of the proposal. Educators considered that the material could be used as supplementary material with students of the YAE. Major features considered important by participants were the organization of the material, presenting interesting texts; language accessible to the student and suggestions videos. They were cited several possible uses of the Supplementary Teaching Materials (STM) being completely or some of its units. In chemistry teaching in adult education due to lack of resources and materials, the STM developed using the theme water in a STS approach is a contribution to the YAE.

The evaluation of skills development facilitation in Gauteng public further education and training (FET) collegesMatea, Marobane John 11 1900 (has links)
South Africa is a developing country that contends with a serious skills deficit that hampers its economic growth prospects. To address this skills deficit particularly at intermediate level, the government identified the public Further Education and Training (FET) College sector to serve as a medium to counter the challenge. Subsequent to the aforementioned decision by the government, political and financial support was pledged to the sector. Legislation that is attributed to the sector was also enacted and amended to capacitate the sector to perform optimally. The focus of this research was the capability of the public FET College sector in the province of Gauteng to respond credibly and qualitatively to the skills needs of the province‟s labour markets. Thus, the primary purpose was to evaluate the role that the sector in the province plays to address the skills shortage.
The research design for the study was triangulation in nature, encompassing qualitative and quantitative methods. Nine public FET colleges, six companies and the Indlela Training Centre were sampled for gathering information regarding the responsiveness, articulation and efficiency of the province‟s public FET College sector. Students, lecturers, HODs and company‟s skills development managers were interviewed and sampled for the completion of questionnaires.
Some significant differences in perceptions relating to the role played by the province‟s public FET college sector in addressing the skills shortage were found. Findings indicated that the massive financial and political support pledged to the sector by the government did not translate into efficiency, credibility and responsiveness nor capacitate the sector. In terms of the findings employers are skeptical about the quality of graduates that the province‟s public FET colleges ect or produces. Further, it was found that the sector‟s lecturers are inappropriately qualified and this contributes to the inefficiency of the sector in performing optimally. The lack of a formal skills development partnership between the sector and the labour markets hampers the articulation and the responsiveness of the sector to the skills needs of labour market. However, the current development whereby all the skills development institutions have been placed under one department has the potential to add value to the skills development landscape, particularly the public FET College sector. / Educational Leadership and Management / D. This study centres on curriculum development for a master craftsman level in the Printing, Newspaper and
Packaging Industries which is didactically sound and takes cognisance of the dynamic vocational education
and training milieu in which it occurs. Curriculum and curriculum development is viewed from a systems
perspective and incorporates the specific andragogic didactic needs of the learner target group as well as
the unique needs of an industrial sector.
Because the National Qualification Framework model advocates an outcomes-based approach to
curriculum development this necessitated the identification of a suitable standards generating process to
articulate the master craftsman unit standards into a qualification capable of being recognised by the
National Qualification Framework. The nature and complexity of the underpinning knowledge, skills and
competencies for the master craftsman level were quantified and qualified by means of skills and
competency profiling and the development of a job outcome taxonomy of skills, knowledge and attributes
which incorporated critical cross field and fundamental skills, and their underpinning knowledge
requirements.
Using aspects ofvarious vocational education and training models and empirical research course content
was sourced, evaluated and developed into appropriate modules of learning that are congruent with the
accepted competency based modular training system used in the Industries. Course maps that integrate
theory and practice were developed with multi skilling milestones linked to learner certification.
Evaluation of resources for the delivery of the Master Craftsman Programme was facilitated by means of
a provider quality assessment and accreditation system. The interactive teaching-learning situation and the
evaluation processes and procedures were developed to enhance the assessment of applied competencies
in the world of work. A pilot study and unit standards generating activities are to be used as a means of
implementing and institutionalising the master craftsman curriculum.
The findings of this study revealed that by viewing the curriculum from a systems perspective and using a
suitable curriculum development model a creative master craftsman curriculum development process could
take place. The competency profiling technique and taxonomy of competencies, skills, knowledge and
