O objeto desta pesquisa são as idéias e as práticas de assistência ao idoso no Lar Padre Euclides de Ribeirão Preto/SP, nas décadas de 1910 a 1950. O Lar Padre Euclides foi fundado em 1919 sob a denominação de Asilo de Mendicidade de Ribeirão Preto, por Padre Euclides Gomes Carneiro. Entende-se a assistência no Lar como uma prática apoiada em idéias psicológicas acerca dos assistidos, motivada pela demanda de um contexto sócio-cultural específico. Através da reconstrução da história e do contexto de inserção da instituição, buscou-se compreender a concepção, a estruturação e o desenvolvimento de sua proposta assistencial e da sua trajetória do passado ao presente. A coleta de documentos foi iniciada na própria instituição, na Biblioteca Padre Euclides e no Arquivo Público e Histórico de Ribeirão Preto. Posteriormente foram visitados em São José do Rio Pardo/SP o Asilo de Inválidos e o Museu Riopardense, e em Botucatu/SP o Asilo Padre Euclides e o Centro Cultural. Os asilos destas duas localidades foram também fundados por Padre Euclides. A análise descritiva e crítica dos documentos (relatórios anuais, estatutos, atas, regulamentos, notícias de jornais, fotografias) seguiu a orientação teórica e metodológica da Micro-História. O trabalho é inicialmente composto pelas narrativas histórica acerca da vida de Padre Euclides e das obras criadas por ele, e da origem e desenvolvimento do Lar Padre Euclides de Ribeirão Preto/SP, enfatizando-se as práticas de assistência voltadas ao oferecimento de moradia, trabalho e vida religiosa aos assistidos. Segue-se a descrição e caracterização das idéias acerca dos assistidos, ressaltandose a idéia dos “verdadeiramente necessitados”. A partir da análise das principais fontes de receita e despesas da instituição, evidenciaram-se aspectos específicos do relacionamento do Lar com a comunidade, sendo estes responsáveis pela permanência da obra no presente. A reconstrução da história do Lar Padre Euclides, nas décadas de 1910 a 1950, possibilitou também a compreensão da sua realidade atual, do reconhecimento de elementos de continuidade entre o presente e a origem da instituição. / The objects of this research are the ideas and the practices of assistance to old aged person of Lar Padre Euclides at Ribeirão Preto/SP from 1910 to 1950 decades. The Lar Padre Euclides were founded in 1919 with the name “Asylo de Mendicidade de Ribeirão Preto”, by Father Euclides Gomes Carneiro. The assistance at Lar Padre Euclides is a practice based on “psychological ideas” about the attended, influenced by the contest of a specific social and cultural context. By the reconstruction of the history and creation context of the institution, were pretended the comprehension of the conception, structuration and development of the assistance propose and its trajectory from past to present. The written document sources were initially collected at Lar Padre Euclides, at Biblioteca Padre Euclides and at Arquivo Público e Histórico at Ribeirão Preto. Then were visited at São José do Rio Pardo/SP the Asilo de Inválidos and the Museu Riopardense, and at Botucatu/SP the Asilo Padre Euclides and the Centro Cultural. The institutions at this both cities were founded by Father Euclides. The narration and critical analysis of written document sources (annual statements, registers, regulations, newspapers and photographs) were based on theoretical and methodological orientation of Micro-História. This paper contain a historical narration about Father Euclides’ life and about the institutions founded by him and about the origin and development of Lar Padre Euclides at Ribeirão Preto/SP, with emphasis on the assistance practices turned to the offering of residence, work and religions life to old aged person. It also contain a description and characterization of the ideas about the attended that shows the idea of the “truth needed person”. The analysis of the principles incomes and expenses of the institution, showed specifics aspects of the relationship between the Lar Padre Euclides and the community, responsible by the sustentation of the institution on present days. The reconstruction of the history of Lar Padre Euclides, from 1910 to 1950 decades, makes possible the comprehension of its actual reality and the recognition of continues elements between the present and the origin of the institution.

Text in German, summaries in English and German / In dieser Forschungsarbeit werden Aspekte für die Partizipation älterer Menschen in gemeinwesendiakonischer Jugendarbeit im Sozialen Brennpunkt erforscht, um Wege aufzuzeigen, wie Seniorinnen angesichts demografischer und gesellschaftlicher Her-ausforderungen (Interkulturalität, Generationskonflikte und Milieuunterschiede) Kir- che mitgestalten und das gemeinwesendiakonische Profil der Kirche stärken können. Aufbauend auf sozialwissenschaftlichen und missionswissenschaftlichen Vor-überlegungen bildet eine empirisch-theologische Studie unter engagierten älteren Menschenimgemeinwesendiakonischen Projekt Richtsberg Mobil in einem Sozialen Brennpunkt das Zentrum der Untersuchung. Es wurden zehn problemzentrierte quali- tative Interviews geführt, die auf Grundlagedertheoriegenerierenden Methode der Grounded Theory ausgewertet wurden. Als Ergebnis der Typenbildung nach Kelle und Kluge können sechs grundlegende Aspekte festgehalten werden. Daraus werden Handlungskonsequenzen für die missi- onarische Praxis und die Missionswissenschaft gezogen, die sowohl in die unmittel- bare Praxis des untersuchten Projektes als auch vergleichbare generationsübergrei- fende und gemeinwesendiakonische Projekte zurückgeführt werden. / The research topic of this thesis are aspects for the participation of elderly people in a welfare-oriented youth ministry in a deprived area in order to identify how elderly people can help shape church in the face of demographic and social challenges (in- terculturality, generation conflicts and milieu differences) and strengthen its profile of community diaconia. Based on social-scientific and missiological prolegomena the center of this re- search is an empirical-theological study on commited elderly people in the welfare- oriented youth ministry Richtsberg Mobil in a deprived area. Collecting data through ten qualitative, problem-centered interviews the phenomena are evaluated by using the Grounded Theory. As a result of the data analysis six basic variables can be assumed that have an impact on the participation. The study is then utilized regarding its implications for missionpractice and missiology that can both assist the studied project Richtsberg Mobil as well as comparable intergenerational and welfare-oriented projects. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / M.
