Komunikační strategie neziskové organizace / Communication Strategy of a Non-Profit Organization

This diploma thesis deals with the problems of communication strategy in a non-profit organisation. The firts part of the thesis discusses background knowledge concerning non-profit organisations, communication, marketing and Public relations and produces the collection of tools and processes for practical use. The second part of the thesis conducts an analysis of the current communication strategy in the inquired organisation. Data analysis also suggests new ways of communication strategy, suitable communication tools and possible ways of publicity and the system of its use. The inquired organisation is Junák -- český skaut, přístav Třináctka Opařany, z. s.. It is the basic organisation unit of Junák and it focuses on the work with children and youth in their free time.

Within the theoretical part the non-profit sector is defined, the theoretical basis for marketing communication are determined and successful communication campaigns of non-profit organisations are introduced. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to suggest the communication strategy for the National association of PKU and other inherited disorders. The main goal of the diploma theses is supported by own research in the form of in-depth interviews and survey which were answered by PKU patients. Finally, the communication strategy proposal is created, which target is to raise awareness about PKU among the general public.

Analisa o contexto em que se inserem os grupos de teatro e seus públicos, suas características específicas e de que forma ações de Comunicação e de Relações Públicas podem provocar e influenciar o relacionamento entre ambos. A partir principalmente de produtos e projetos de memória de grupos de teatro, é possível identificar os potenciais de comunicação que contribuem para a formação e fortalecimento da imagem institucional desses grupos. Embora seja um paradoxo trabalhar a perpetuidade de uma arte cuja natureza é efêmera, encontramos no Grupo Galpão uma série de ações, projetos e produtos que demonstram que é possível, por meio de um projeto consistente, valorizar a imagem e reputação de grupos de teatro. / This study seeks to analyse the context of theater groups and their publics/audiences, their specifities and how Communication and Public Relations actions can cause and influence their relationship. Based primarily on memory products and projects of theater groups, it is possible to identify the potential of communication that contributes to the formation and strengthening of the institutional image of these groups. Although working the perpetuity of an art whose nature is ephemeral seems to be a paradox, the Galpão Theater Group keeps a set of actions, projects and products which show us that it is possible to enhance the image and reputation of a theater group by means of a consistent project.

In this context, the main objective of this thesis is to refer to Facebook use as a communication element in companies models in a B2B basis, organization by which their main characteristic is to sell to intermediates or to other companies. Through the application of a study case methodology, it is analyzed two corporate profiles: the Autodesk and Braskem, and both elect Facebook as being one the main platforms on corporate communication in the digital environment. As a complement to the research it is used the content analysis technique aiming in assisting in the investigation about the content and the objective of released messages represented by their posts. The results show to be favorable to the use of Facebook as a communication tool when structured based on objectives and organization strategies. Language in social networks establishes a dialogue providing information sharing among people and corporations / As mudanças profundas constatadas na sociedade durante as últimas décadas também impactam a forma como as empresas realizam negócios e exercem a sua comunicação. Nesse contexto, o principal objetivo desta dissertação refere-se ao uso do Facebook como elemento de comunicação em empresas B2B, organizações cuja característica principal é vender para intermediários ou para outras empresas. Por meio da aplicação da metodologia de estudo de caso, analisa-se dois perfis corporativos: Autodesk e Braskem, sendo que ambos elegem o Facebook como uma das principais plataformas de comunicação da empresa no ambiente digital. Como complementação à pesquisa utiliza-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo, a fim de auxiliar a investigação sobre o conteúdo e propósito das mensagens publicadas, representadas pelos posts. Os resultados mostram-se favoráveis à utilização do Facebook como ferramenta de comunicação, quando estruturada com base nos objetivos e estratégias da organização. 國民中學學校組織溝通與教師工作投入關係之研究 / A study on the relationship between school organization communication and teachers’ job involvement in the junior high school

本研究的主旨在瞭解國民中學「學校組織溝通」與「教師工作投入」之關係,研究方法以問卷調查法為主,並輔以實地訪談。研究工具為自編之「國民中學學校組織溝通與教師工作投入問卷」,調查對象係以桃園縣公立國民中學(含國民中小學)教師共 497人為樣本。研究資料分析以描述統計、t考驗、單因子變異數分析及Scheffe’、積差相關及逐步多元迴歸等方法進行分析處理。本研究獲得之結論如下: 本研究獲得之結論如下: 一、國民中學教師知覺學校組織溝通之現況,屬良好程度;以「組織氣氛」最高。 二、國民中學教師知覺教師工作投入之現況,屬於良好程度;在各層面中,以「工作評價」層面的表現最好。 三、國中教師個人背景變項之性別、年齡、服務年資、學歷、職務、學校規模之不同,在知覺「學校組織溝通」部分有顯著差異。 四、國中教師個人背景變項之性別、年齡、服務年資、學歷、職務,在知覺「教師工作投入」部分有顯著差異。 五、學校組織溝通整體及各層面與教師工作投入整體及各層面間,有顯著的正相關,表示國民中學學校組織溝通與教師工作投入之關係密切。 六、學校組織溝通各層面對整體教師工作投入具有預測力,其中又以「個人回饋」對教師工作投入最具正向的預測作用。 根據研究結果提出結論與建議如下: 一、對教育行政機關的建議 (一)將組織溝通相關課程納入校長主任儲訓與進修 (二)縮小學校規模,提升溝通機制與效能 二、對國民中學的建議 (一)建立組織溝通之機制與模式,促進校務推動 (二)辦理教師教學經驗交流活動 (三)鼓勵教師進修,充實專業知能與溝通技巧,增進組織溝通 (四)建立未擔任行政職之教師溝通管道 (五)邀請教師參與行政工作 (六)辦理教師文康活動,增進教師的互動 (七)積極建立個人回饋機制,鼓勵教師適時給予回饋 三、對國民中學教師之建議 (一)破除傳統性別藩籬,積極參與組織活動 (二)善用溝通媒介及管道,正確獲得訊息及表達意見,增進組織溝通效能 / This study aims to understand the junior high school "organizational communication" and "teachers’ job involvement " of the current situation, to explore the junior high school "School organizational communication" and "teacher job involvement" in individual differences on background variables, to produce predictive power by analyzing the relationship of the perceptions between the teachers’ "School organizational communication" and "Teachers’ job involvement, " and to make specific practical suggestions based on the comprehensive study of the results. In order to achieve its purposes, this study has methodologically adopted document analysis, questionnaire survey and face to face interview. The subjects are public junior high schools (including junior & primary school) teachers in Taoyuan County. The self-edited questionnaire of this study, “The Junior High School Teachers in Organizational Communication and Teachers’ Job Involvement Survey Questionnaire” was designed and the 497 samples were surveyed. The data were analyzed and presented by t-test one-way ANOVA and Scheffe’s statistics to test hypotheses, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regressions. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. Junior high school teachers perceived the current status of organizational communication is in a good degree, "organizational climate" the maximum. 2. Junior high school teachers perceived the current situation of teacher involvement is in a good degree; at all levels, the "job evaluation" level is the best. 3. A significant difference showed on the perception of "organizational communication" based on the teachers personal background variables, like gender, age, years of service, qualifications, duties, and schools of different scale. 4. A significant difference showed on the perception of "teachers’ involvement" on difference teachers personal background variables, like gender, age, years of service, qualifications, and duties. 5. The overall school organization and the level of communication with teachers and the level of job involvement among the whole, a significant positive correlation reveals that junior high school organizational communication and the relationship between job involvement of teachers have closely relationship. 6. On the level of the whole school organization levels of communication with the predictive power of teachers into the work, among which "personal feedback" on the job involvement, predicted the most positive effect. Based on the findings, conclusions and recommendations for educational administration, schools, and future research. 1. On the educational authority: (1) Communication-related courses will be organized into the principal director training and education. (2) Reduce school size to improve the effectiveness of communication mechanisms and efficacy. 2. The recommendations for the junior high schools: (1) To establish of the mechanism and mode of organizational communication, and promote the school to promote. (2) To encourage teachers to share teaching experience. (3) To encourage teachers to pursue and enrich the professional knowledge and communication skills, improving organizational communication. (4) To establish a communication channel for the executive staff of teachers. (5) To encourage teachers to participate in administrative work. (6) To handle recreational activities for the teachers to enhance interaction. (7) To establish personal feedback mechanism actively to encourage teachers to give timely feedback. 3. The recommendations for the junior high school teachers: (1) To remove the traditional gender barriers, and actively participate in activities. (2) To make use of communication media and channels, to get the correct information and express their views, and to enhance the effectiveness of organizational communication.

We meet different kinds of exposures with extraordinary crisis situations in today world. It is both from nature (earthquake, overflooding) and from people themselves ( escape of dangerous chemical substance, fire and so on). Even if we try to prevent these situations, we cannot exclude they will never happen again. In these situations there should be some state apparatus which represents the crisis management, Integrated rescue system- Rescue service, Fire department, and Police of the Czech Republic. Also the public service and another physical subjects concerned with this problems. It is up to all of us not to be reckless and to try to help. Because all of us can help not only as a person but also in some organization which we can use in these situations. There are many different public organization in the Czech Republic which are prepared to help people in crisis situations. But there is a big difference between them, mostly because of their externalization. What is common for all of them is that they are all for helping people. Some of them help people in crisis situations, some help the alcoholics, drug addicts, seniors, children. Each of us think about something different when we say crisis. The person is very various kind, who is adaptable even in very difficult situations. The question is, when he can manage all the problems alone and when all his energy is gone and he looks for help from another subjects, also from the organization. The extraordinary situations have happened in South Bohemia for ages. The effectual and quality help should be all-round and therefore it is necessary the help should be offered in cooperation of all local recources.

A study of optimizing the Processing time for Building permits : Study Case: Tyresö municipality

There are rules in urban development and the construction industry, which encourages organizations to work according to standards and approved codes. For example: it is required by law for all property owners to apply and obtain a permit in order to carry out an action in construction building. Often, the permit process takes a great deal of time to process.   Currently, there is a lack of constructional project for residential buildings in Stockholm region, and there is critique toward the municipalities for having a long processing time for reviewing building permits. This study is about ways to optimize the processing time for building permits. As a first step, it was important to study parameters, which maximizes the quality and efficiency. Since, time is often one of the restricted factors in urban development, optimizing the processing time issuing a construction permit can be one of the quality elements in service oriented business organizations like a municipality.   This study aims to analyze the building permit processing time, and investigate different factors that have influence on it. The case for this was Tyresö municipality, a municipality with approximately 45 000 inhabitants in the south east of the Stockholm region. Required information has been developed based on interviews with the municipality's personnel and professional construction developer who have applied for building permit in Tyresö region. In addition, previous reports, statistics, and cases from the municipality archive have been used to identify important concepts as empirical material.   Long processing time is a current existing problem in many municipalities. A service oriented organization like a municipality should try to increase clients’ satisfaction by a continual and proper communication with public. The municipality can identify the costumer needs and expectations and improve the quality efficiency by communication. Optimizing of processing time in the building permit cases is one of the issues of process optimization that can increase customer satisfaction. Using Total Quality Management strategy in the organization, help the municipality to optimize the processing time continuously. It means quality improvement and leads to long term costumer satisfaction. Since functional team develops solutions to problems in TQM style it often shortens the time taken to produce services. The focus of this management style is on importance of the relationship between costumer and organization and it is directly linked to their communication.   By service guarantee as a tool, municipality which is a politically governed organization makes assurance for public as its costumer to provide community services with proper quality. A well defined service Guarantee has been contributed the improving quality of the services. It helps the planning and building department of municipality to increase the costumer satisfaction and attract more building developer to invest in the municipality region. / Lagar och regler är till för att ha ett väl fungerande samhälle. Samma sak gäller inom samhälls- och stadsutveckling, då regelverk och normer styr utvecklingen. Ett exempel är att bygglov behövs för den som vill bygga. Handläggningstiden för bygglov ingår allt som oftast i planeringstiden för byggnation, och handläggningstiden kan ibland dra ut på tiden.   För närvarande har kommunernas handläggningstid av bygglovsärenden fått massiv kritik. För att komma till rätta med problemet, och korta handläggningstiderna, måste kommunerna identifiera de kritiska parametrarna som kan bidra till effektivare processer. Då tid är oftast en viktig faktor, kan tidsoptimering vara ett sätt att få höja kvaliteten och effektiviteten, speciellt i en serviceorienterad organisation, liksom kommun.   Denna studie syftar till att undersöka, identifiera och analysera de faktorer som påverkar handläggningstiden för bygglov. Undersökningen har utförts på Tyresökommun, en kommun med omkring 45 000 innevånare som ligger i sydöstra Stockholmsregionen. Studien är baserad på intervjuer av de anställda på bygglovsenheten samt de ansökande. Även äldre ärenden i kommunens arkiv har analyserats, för att få ett bättre underlag i den här studien.    De långa handläggningstiderna är ett av större problem kommunerna dras med, något som även gäller Tyresö kommun. Med en kontinuerlig och bättre kommunikation med de bygglovssökande identifieras behov och förväntningar vilket leder till mer effektiviserad handläggningstid. Denna handläggningstidsoptimering är en åtgärd för att sträva efter en optimerad process. Genom att identifiera problemen och använda sig av en Total Quality Management-strategi kan kommunen optimera handläggningstiden kontinuerligt som utmynnar till kvalitetsförbättringar och större kundnöjdhet. Enligt TQM är handläggarnas utveckling av problemlösningar en orsak till kortare handläggningstid. Relationen mellan kunden och organisationen är av stort betydelse i det här ledarskapet och är kopplad till en direkt kommunikation dessa emellan. Vilket betyder sökande som kund samt kommunen som en organisation skall föra en kontinuerlig kommunikation enl. TQM.   Med servicegaranti som ett verktyg kan kommunen utlova tjänster med anständiga kvaliteter. Välutvecklad servicegaranti bidrar till en förbättrad tjänstekvalitet och kortare handläggningstid. Detta medför en förhöjd kundnöjdhet och lockar fler bygginvesterare till regionen.
