O objetivo geral foi analisar a associação, ao longo do tempo, entre as Dimensões Organizacionais sob o contexto da internacionalização. Nesse sentido, o propósito final foi construir, a partir da dinâmica das associações e da internacionalização como um todo, um framework teórico-dinâmico sob tal contexto para a Miolo Wine Group, considerando, para tal, as seguintes Dimensões Organizacionais: governança corporativa, processo de formação da estratégia de internacionalização, conteúdo da estratégia, contexto interno, contexto externo, risco percebido e, por fim, empreendedorismo Os procedimentos metodológicos, de natureza qualitativa, fundamentaram-se na Teoria Adaptativa que estabelece um ciclo contínuo entre as teorias e as descobertas empíricas, até o esgotamento das fontes de dados. Para este estudo, dois momentos distintos de coleta e análise foram realizados. Um total de doze entrevistas em profundidade foram efetuadas com dez executivos do topo das empresas selecionadas para o estudo. As entrevistas foram gravadas, posteriormente transcritas e analisadas com o suporte do Atlas.ti, software adotado como ferramenta para os procedimentos de análise. Também foi realizada a análise de documentos pertinentes às empresas e ao dinâmico setor do agronegócio. Dos achados teóricos, apresenta-se uma simulação gráfica das associações entre as Dimensões Organizacionais sob o contexto da internacionalização. Da análise de dados, conclui-se que as Dimensões listadas, por meio do estudo multicasos, foram evidenciadas na prática e se encontram relacionadas ao processo de internacionalização das empresas, assim como cada uma destas compõem o pool de Dimensões Organizacionais sob o contexto da internacionalização. Com relação a proposição do framework teórico-dinâmico, tem-se que (i) a associação, ao longo das fases, entre as Dimensões Organizacionais sob o contexto da internacionalização de um grupo empresarial com atuação no agronegócio, assim como (ii) reconhece-se, a partir da percepção do fundador, que não apenas as Dimensões Organizacionais variam em grau de intensidade ao longo das fases, como também podem ser responsáveis em promover, em determinadas ocasiões, a partir de forças antagônicas, uma relação negativa de associação. / This thesis deals with issues associated with organizational dimensions and internationalization of companies operating in the agribusiness Valley Fruit, located in the Lower Basin of the São Francisco River and semi-arid region of Brazil` northeastern. The general objective was to analyze the association, over time, between the organizational dimensions in the context of internationalization. In this sense, the ultimate purpose was to build from the dynamics of associations and internationalization, a theoretical and dynamic framework to the Miolo Wine Group. To do that, it was considering the following organizational dimensions: corporate governance, process training of internationalization strategy, strategy content, internal environment, external environment, perceived risk and, finally, entrepreneurship The methodological procedures, of a qualitative research, were based on Adaptive Theory establishing a continuous loop between the theories and empirical discoveries until the depletion of data sources. For this study, two different moments of collection and analysis were performed. A total of twelve in-depth interviews were conducted with ten top executives of the companies selected for the study. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and analyzed with the support of Atlas.ti, software adopted as a tool for the analysis procedures. The analysis of documents related to the companies and agribusiness in general also took place. For theoretical findings, it is presented a graphic simulation of the associations between organizational dimensions in the context of internationalization. For data analysis, it is concluded that the listed dimensions, through multicases study, were observed in practice and are related to the internationalization of business process and each of these make up the Organizational Dimensions of pool in the international context . Regarding the proposition of theoretical and dynamic framework, we have that (i) the association, through the stages, between organizational dimensions in the context of the internationalization of a business group operating in agribusiness, as well as (ii) it is recognized if, from the perception of the founder, not only the organizational dimensions vary in degree of intensity through the stages, as may also be responsible for promoting, on occasion, from opposing forces, a negative relationship of association.

A constructivist learning event using computers at the Instituto Superior de Ciências de Educação (ISCED) - Angola

The aim of this study was to investigate how well pre-service teachers are being prepared by the Computers in Education course to integrate computers into their teaching methods by the Faculty of Education at the Instituto Superior de Ciências de Educação (ISCED) in Lubango, Angola. The study used a constructivist learning event devised by the researcher to assess how well the selected sample of pre-service teachers were able to use computers and the Internet to fulfil a series of tasks contained in the constructivist learning event under carefully controlled research conditions. After they had completed these tasks under experimental conditions, the researcher and her two assistants used various means to assess the performance of the participating groups in these activities. A qualitative case study approach was used for this study. The case study took place at ISCED in Lubango because ISCED is the only institution of higher education in Angola that uses computers to prepare pre-service teachers to integrate computer technology with their teaching. The course in which this takes place is known as the Computers for Education course. Twenty-one pre-service teachers and the two Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teachers of the Computers for Education from ISCED participated voluntarily in the study. The data collection instruments used included questionnaires for the pre-service teachers and ICT teachers; observation checklists for the pre-service teachers; interviews of pre-service teachers and ICT teachers, and scoring rubrics for the pre-service teachers’ task assessment documents. The data analysis method used in this study was that of interpretive analysis. The theoretical framework used to scaffold this study was the theory of constructivism devised by Bruner (1966). Bruner states that constructivism is the “theory of learning, where learning is seen as an active process in which students construct new ideas or concepts based upon their current or past knowledge”. In constructivist learning events of this kind, students select and transform information, construct hypotheses and make their own decisions in reliance upon their own cognition and previous knowledge and experience. Cronjé’s Model of Four Quadrants (2000), which enables a researcher to plot objectivism as complementary to constructivism, was used by the researcher as the basis for an analysis of data. The Model of Four Quadrants describes how learning theories such as behaviourism and constructivism exist as opposites in the quadrant upon which the model is based. An objectivist or behaviourist approach to teaching and learning assumes that knowledge exists essentially and independently outside the minds of both learners and teachers, and behaviourist methods of teaching effect a transfer of objective knowledge from the mind of the teacher to the mind of the student. In contrast to this, the constructivist approach is based on the assumption that all meanings are subjectively constructed in the human mind, and that learners acquire knowledge (and therefore education) by creating their own meanings while engaging in the solution of authentic learning tasks devised by the teacher. Constructivism does not recognise the existence of any kind of objectively independent shared reality that can be transferred materially from one mind to another. Although these two approaches are radically different from one another, and although they exist conceptually as polar opposites in Cronjé’s Model, elements from both models can be utilised to achieve a desired learning outcome. What the researcher has suggested in her analysis, conclusions and recommendations is that elements from both learning theories described in the model can be successfully used to teach ISCED students how to integrate computer technology into their teaching. Current teaching and learning practices at ISCED are predominantly behaviourist in method and outcomes since the ICT teachers at ISCED use mainly the lecture method for teaching. For formative assessment, the present teachers use question and answer methods. For summative assessment, they use multiple-choice questions, schedules that require students to insert information into blank spaces, projects, and essay-type questions. In contrast to this, they use learner-centred constructivist forms of teaching such as projects, group work and verbal expression of appreciation to encourage learner performance. [pt] O Sistema de Medição de Desempenho de Fornecedores (SMDF) é uma ferramenta para avaliar, medir e monitorar o desempenho dos fornecedores. O interesse em SMDF é grande na academia, tornando-se um tema frequente na literatura. Contudo, ainda existem lacunas pouco exploradas por pesquisadores no tema, como a fase de revisão de um SMDF e a sua aplicação no setor público. Neste contexto, a presente pesquisa de mestrado avalia a eficácia da fase de revisão de um SMDF de uma empresa estatal brasileira de grande porte, que precisou se adequar às alterações legislativas e aos feedbacks de suas equipes de gestão contratual, compradores e fornecedores, buscando aumentar a confiança do sistema junto a estas partes interessadas. Com o suporte da literatura e o trabalho colaborativo de diversos departamentos da empresa, esta pesquisa-ação acompanhou cinco intervenções realizadas no SMDF corrente da empresa, sendo elas o aumento da transparência, a melhoria na tempestividade das avaliações, a implementação da funcionalidade de revisão de avaliações, a implementação da funcionalidade de justificativas de avaliações, e a revisão dos questionários e métricas de avaliações. Como resultado das intervenções, observou-se melhoria no relacionamento com os fornecedores, o aumento significativo no uso do Índice de Desempenho de Fornecedores (IDF) como critério seleção e habilitação de fornecedores, e o aumento no desempenho de contratos novos e em andamento. O trabalho oferece um framework, inspirado na teoria organizacional das contingências, apresentando o contexto inicial, as intervenções realizadas através da ótica das dimensões Humana, Tecnológica e Organizacional, e os resultados identificados, propiciando orientações e implicações diretas para praticantes da indústria e pesquisadores acadêmicos e reduzindo a lacuna entre teoria e prática. / [en] The Supplier Performance Measurement System (SPMS) is a tool for assessing, measuring, and monitoring supplier performance. There is great interest in SPMS in the academia, becoming a frequent theme in the literature. However, there are still gaps little explored by researchers in the subject, such as the review phase of an SPMS and its application in the public sector. In this context, this master s research evaluates the effectiveness of the review phase of an SPMS of a large Brazilian state-owned company, which had to adapt to legislative changes and feedback from its contract management teams, buyers and suppliers, seeking to increase the confidence of the system with these stakeholders. With the support of the literature and the collaborative work of several departments, the company carried out five interventions in the SPMS, including raising its transparency, improving the timing of assessments, implementation of the assessment review functionality, implementation of the assessment justifications functionality, and review of questionnaires and evaluation metrics. As a result of the interventions, there was an improvement in the relationship with suppliers, the significant increase in the use of the Supplier Performance Index (SPI) as a criterion for selecting and enabling suppliers and increasing the performance of new and ongoing contracts. This research offers a framework, inspired by the organizational contingency theory, presenting the initial context, interventions performed through the perspective of Human, Technological and Organizational dimensions (HTO), and the identified results, which provides guidance and direct implications for industry practitioners and academic researchers, reducing the gap between theory and practice.

Desarrollo del producto innovador verde desde sus antecedentes hasta el impacto: evidencia de acuerdo con la Encuesta Europea de Innovación en Producción

Tesis por compendio / [ES] La esencia del presente trabajo radica en comprender el fenómeno del desarrollo del producto innovador verde y cómo se puede estar constituyendo a nivel de las empresas del sector manufacturero en beneficio del desempeño organizacional. Por tanto, desde una perspectiva teórico-exploratoria, con esta tesis doctoral se desea contribuir al conocimiento mediante una propuesta de reconfiguración sistémica organizacional enfocada a la creación del producto innovador verde, de tal manera que permita a las empresas del sector manufacturero mitigar y/o eliminar impactos negativos al medio ambiente, posibilitando, asimismo, la obtención de ganancias financieras, procurando el desarrollo sostenible. Para los fines mencionados anteriormente, se constituyen tres rutas estratégicas. En primera medida, se constituye un framework que contempla a la organización como un sistema abierto interrelacionado, sobre la base de determinantes del producto innovador verde, de siete nuevas capacidades de innovación y de cinco dimensiones organizacionales. Seguidamente, se procede con el análisis con relación a qué configuración de capacidades de innovación verde y dimensiones organizacionales pueden explicar un mayor logro del producto innovador verde. Finalmente, a modo específico se prueba si la adopción y el uso alto de la capacidad de producción verde y la tecnología como puede estar afectando al desempeño organizacional. Los análisis exploratorios parten de dos ediciones de la Encuesta Europea de Innovación en Producción, la cual es aplicada a empresas del sector manufacturero. En esta tesis, en un primer momento, se trabajan con las sub-muestras de España y Croacia, posteriormente, con las sub-muestras de Croacia, Lituania, España, Serbia, Eslovaquia, Eslovenia y Suecia. La tesis está constituida por tres artículos, donde respectivamente se desarrollan los objetivos de investigación y se presentan los hallazgos que surgen a partir de los estudios. Los resultados advierten sobre la necesidad de una reconfiguración organizacional a nivel de empresas del sector productivo, estipulada sobre la base de las siete capacidades de innovación verde y las cinco dimensiones organizacionales analizadas, en procura de dar soporte a los determinantes del producto innovador verde, contribuyendo de forma directa al desempeño sostenible. Asimismo, se identifica como la capacidad de producción verde y la tecnología en su adopción y sus niveles de uso alto presentan un impacto significativo en el desempeño ambiental y en el financiero. Por tanto, esta tesis de doctorado brinda aportes que confirman repercusiones teóricas y prácticas que pueden corresponder a oportunidades para académicos, profesionales y entidades gubernamentales. En conseqüència, aquesta investigació entrega orientacions sobre com utilitzar aquests resultats en el desenvolupament de futurs treballs d'investigació, plans estratègics o governamentals. / [EN] The essence of this work lies in understanding the phenomenon of the development of green product innovation and how it can be constituted at the level of companies in the manufacturing sector for the benefit of organizational performance. Therefore, from a theoretical-exploratory perspective, this doctoral thesis aims to contribute to knowledge through a proposal of organizational systematic reconfiguration focused on creating green product innovations, in such a way that it allows companies in the manufacturing sector to mitigate and/or eliminate negative impacts on the environment, also enabling the obtaining of financial profit, and seeking sustainable development. For the above-mentioned purposes, three strategic routes are constituted. In the first place, a framework that contemplates the organization as an interrelated open system is constituted, based on determinants of the green product innovation, seven new innovation capabilities, and five organizational dimensions. Next, an analysis is made in relation to which configuration of green innovation capabilities and organizational dimensions can explain a greater achievement of green product innovation. Finally, it specifically tests whether the adoption and high use of green production capability and technology may be affecting organizational performance. The exploratory analyses are based on two editions of the European Manufacturing Survey, which is applied to companies in the manufacturing sector. In this thesis, at first, the sub-samples of Spain and Croatia were used, and subsequently the ones from Croatia, Lithuania, Spain, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Sweden. The thesis consists of three articles, where the research objectives are respectively developed and the findings that arise from the studies are presented. The results warn of the need for an organizational reconfiguration at the level of enterprises in the productive sector, stipulated on the basis of the seven green innovation capabilities and the five analyzed organizational dimensions, in order to support the determinants of green product innovation, contributing directly to sustainable performance. Likewise, it is identified as the green production capacity and the technology in its adoption and its high levels of use present a significant impact on environmental and financial performance. Therefore, this doctoral thesis provides contributions that confirm theoretical and practical reactions that may correspond to opportunities for academics, professionals, and government entities.
