But, the Encounter of Religions is a pressing commitment. Not always the Encounter of Religions has been immune of conflicts - theological and practical - but there are several examples of real and healthy Encounter. The many conflicts have provided an "environment" positive for religions, which is not always taken seriously. It is precisely this question the focus of this research. Namely, what can religions expect from themselves? What can society expect from religions? What would be the possible theological foundation for the future of religions plurality? Among the several possible answers, we indicate hospitality as a theological foundation, which responds to this internal expectation of religions and allows act from itself to be relevant to pluralist society. Hospitality is a hermeneutic possibility to awaken an inherent openness to every religion, including associate with its own dynamics (soul) motivating the founding experience. Our work will be developed in three stages, namely: 1) the hospitality as human and cultural dimension; 2) the hospitality as religious and theological dimension; 3) the hospitality as interreligious dimension. / A pluralidade religiosa tornou-se um valor em nossa sociedade contemporânea, sendo o encontro das religiões, hoje, um compromisso urgente. Nem sempre o encontro das religiões esteve imune de conflitos – teológicos e práticos – embora existam diversos exemplos de um real e saudável encontro. Os muitos embates proporcionaram um “ambiente” positivo para as religiões, nem sempre levado a sério. É justamente nessa questão que se situa a problemática dessa pesquisa, a saber: O que as religiões podem esperar de si mesmas? O que a sociedade pode esperar das religiões? Qual seria o fundamento teológico possível para o futuro da pluralidade de religiões? Dentre as diversas respostas possíveis, indicamos a hospitalidade como um fundamento teológico, que responde a essa expectativa interna das religiões e permite um agir desde si relevante para a sociedade pluralista. A hospitalidade é uma possibilidade hermenêutica para despertar uma abertura inerente a cada religião, que inclusive podemos associar a uma dinâmica própria (alma) e motivadora da experiência religiosa fundante. A reflexão é desenvolvida em três níveis, a saber: 1) a hospitalidade como uma dimensão humana e cultural; 2) a hospitalidade como uma dimensão religiosa e teológica; 3) a hospitalidade como uma dimensão inter-religiosa.

According to Geffré, a theology with hermeneutical orientation designates the very fate of theological reason in the context of contemporary thinking, as it relates to a new position in today’s religious pluralism. Given the current religious polyphony found among the plurality of world religions, Christianity is called to express and to redefine its unique identity. To Geffré, the sacred can only be conceived as a multifaceted phenomenon. There is an enigma within this plural otherness of religious conceptions, whose manifestation expresses the spiritual richness of the human experience of the divine. The confessions of faith emerge from tradition, whose settings cannot be conceived only as an instance of juridical acts, but as the very translation of acts of interpretation that seek to address existential crisis situations, where the element of faith is called into question. Changing the contextual situations causes an adaptation of the original sense of the reality at stake. The reception dynamic brings about an opening of the statements of faith revealed and elaborated dogmatically. The willingness to recast creatively the meaning of faith in view of the new historical experience brings in a vitality to the statements of faith. Catholic theology has sought to overcome an ecclesiocentric standpoint so as to embrace a more ecumenical and kingdom-centered sense of God’s revelation in history. / Esta dissertação de mestrado pretende abordar a relevância da teologia hermenêutica de Claude Geffré para a leitura do fenômeno da revelação na perspectiva do pluralismo religioso. Segundo Geffré, uma teologia com orientação hermenêutica designa o próprio destino da razão teológica no contexto do pensável contemporâneo, pois diz respeito a uma nova postura diante do pluralismo religioso hodierno. Diante da atual polifonia religiosa entoada pela multiplicidade de religiões do mundo, o cristianismo é chamado a expressar e a redefinir a sua identidade singular. Para Geffré, o sagrado só pode ser concebido como um fenômeno multifacetado. Há um enigma presente na alteridade plural das concepções religiosas, cuja manifestação expressa a riqueza espiritual da vivência humana do divino. As confissões de fé emergem da tradição, cujas definições não podem ser concebidas apenas como atos de jurisprudência, mas sim como a tradução de atos de interpretação que buscam responder às situações existenciais de crise, onde o elemento da fé é questionado. A mudança das situações contextuais provoca uma adequação do sentido original à realidade em questão. A dinâmica da recepção provoca uma abertura de sentido aos enunciados da fé revelada e elaborada dogmaticamente. A disposição em retomar de modo criativo o sentido da fé em vista das novas experiências históricas, traz uma vitalidade aos enunciados da fé. A teologia católica tem buscado superar uma postura eclesiocêntrica para abraçar um sentido mais ecumênico e reinocêntrico da revelação de Deus na história.

Want to explain the origin, conception, deployment and limitations. Initially, the pluralist paradigm in cultural and religious pluralism is situated in the historical context of the West, especially in Brazilian society. An analysis is made of the comprehension of religion, pluralism of religious traditions, right to religious freedom, such as freedom of conscience, belief and worship, and tolerance of differences, as well as the need for alterity. Questions on the new horizon of the theology of religions are considered, the Christian theology versus religious pluralism, ending with practical questions on religious teaching, assuring respect for religious diversity, guaranteeing the integrality of different religious traditions. / A presente dissertação de mestrado tem por objetivo abordar o pluralismo religioso: diálogo e alteridade no ensino religioso. Pretende explicitar a origem, os conceitos, desdobramentos e limitações. Inicialmente, situa-se o paradigma pluralista no pluralismo cultural e religioso no contexto histórico do mundo ocidental, especialmente na sociedade brasileira. Analisa-se a compreensão de religião, o pluralismo das tradições religiosas, e o direito à liberdade religiosa como liberdade de consciência, de crença, de culto. A tolerância nas diferenças bem como a necessidade da alteridade. Abordou-se as questões sobre o novo horizonte da teologia das religiões, e a teologia cristã diante do pluralismo religioso. Finaliza-se com questões práticas sobre o ensino religioso, assegurando o respeito à diversidade religiosa e garantindo a integralidade das diferentes tradições religiosas.

We seek to determine as much as the Kingdom of God can be a key hermeneutical Christology in favor of religious pluralism. To support this point, we have come through a literature review the thinking of some theologians of the systematic area, as well as theologians of the biblical area. In the first chapter, we introduce the concept of culture, we developed the idea of cultural diversity including Brazil and affirm pluralism as a cultural factor. In the second chapter, from the reflection on the hermeneutic turn and the presentation of some theological paradigms, we founded religious pluralism as a paradigm of theology, which Christian reflection cannot escape. In the third and final chapter, the focus of the category Kingdom of God and its centrality in the life of Jesus of Nazareth was essential to affirm the possibility of a Christology in religious pluralism. / Esta dissertação reflete sobre o tema O Reino de Deus como chave para uma cristologia no pluralismo religioso. Buscamos averiguar em que medida o Reino de Deus pode ser uma chave hermenêutica em favor de uma cristologia no pluralismo religioso. Para fundamentar essa questão, percorremos através de uma análise bibliográfica o pensamento de alguns teólogos da área sistemática, bem como teólogos da área bíblica. No primeiro capítulo, apresentamos o conceito de cultura, desenvolvemos a ideia da diversidade cultural inclusive no Brasil e afirmamos o pluralismo como fator cultural. No segundo capítulo, a partir da reflexão sobre a virada hermenêutica e a apresentação de alguns paradigmas teológicos, fundamentamos o pluralismo religioso como paradigma da teologia, do qual a reflexão cristã não poderá escapar. No terceiro e último capítulo, o enfoque da categoria Reino de Deus e sua centralidade na vida de Jesus de Nazaré foi fundamental para afirmar a possibilidade de uma cristologia no pluralismo religioso.
