Objective of the research - to evaluate, using up-to-date statistical–genetic methods, the reproductive characteristics of pig breeds bred in Lithuania, to determine correlation of the characteristics with productivity traits, and to develop an optimised system of pigs genetic evaluation by BLUP method. Tasks of the research was: to determine influence of genetic and non-genetic factors in pigs reproductive characteristics, to evaluate the additive-genetic heritability parameters, and co-response of reproduction traits; to evaluate influence of reproductive characteristics on productivity traits, phenotype and genetic co-response; to develop an optimised pigs genetic evaluation system employing BLUP method, estimating pigs reproductive and productive characteristics, using the integrated multivariate model; to evaluate tendencies of pigs genetic improvement. Žmonių populiacijų tyrimai atskleidžia jų fizinio pajėgumo genetinę įvairovę. Tokių ypatumų turi ir Lietuvos populiacija. Sportininkų individualaus genomo žinojimas ypač svarbus sporto teorijai, praktikai ir medicinai. Darbas skirtas svarbiausiems klausimams, susijusiems su genetinių veiksnių įtaka sportinio fizinio pajėgumo komponentams. Darbo metu buvo sukaupta Lietuvos didelio meistriškumo sportininkų imtis, kuri ištirta genetiškai ir pagal fenotipą. Sukurtoje Lietuvos didelio meistriškumo įvairių sporto šakų sportininkų DNR mėginių biobazėje sukaupta informacija apie sportininkų genotipus ir sportininkų fizinio išsivystymo bei funkcinio pajėgumo fenotipiniai duomenys. Parinkti stipriausi genai kandidatai, siejami su žmogaus fiziniu pajėgumu. Didelio meistriškumo sportininkai pirmą kartą Lietuvoje buvo tirti pagal 6 genų kandidatų DNR žymenų alelių, dažniausiai asocijuojamų su fiziniu pajėgumu, paplitimą. Tirtų genų kandidatų žymenų genotipų/alelių dažnių įvairovė išskirtose sportininkų grupėse ir bendroje Lietuvos populiacijoje turi savitumų. Visų tirtų Lietuvos sportininkų fizinio išsivystymo ir funkcinio pajėgumo rodikliai atitinka didelio meistriškumo sportininkų lygį. Fenotipinių rodiklių statistinė analizė parodė sportininkų organizmo įgimtus gebėjimus ir prisitaikymą prie fizinių krūvių. The knowledge of the individual genomes of the athletes is especially important for sports theory, practice and medicine. This research is devoted to the issue of the effect of genetic factors on the components of sporting physical capacity. We have accumulated a sample of the Lithuanian elite athletes which was studied genetically according to a phenotype. We have created a DNA biobase of the Lithuanian elite athletes of various sporting disciplines and collected information about the genotypes and phenotypes of physical development and functional capacity of the athletes. This is the first time in Lithuania that the elite athletes were investigated according to allelic distribution of 6 candidate gene variants most associated with physical capacity. Šio darbo tikslas Pietų Lietuvos pavyzdžiu įvertinti geologinės struktūros įtaką paviršiaus geomorfologinių kompleksų (rajonų) raidai. Ankstesnių tyrimų skyriuje apžvelgti struktūriniai geomorfologiniai, ikikvarterinių uolienų paviršių ir jų rajonavimo, pleistoceno storymės paleopaviršių, paleogeografinės raidos poledynmetyje, žemyninių eolinių darinių, geomorfologinio rajonavimo darbai. Metodikos skyriuje aptartas ikikvarterinių uolienų paviršiaus rajonavimas, paleoįrėžių užpildo struktūros įvertinimas, pleistoceno storymės paleopaviršių tyrimas, pleistoceno storymės paleopaviršių skyrimo patikimumo ir panašumo įvertinimas, taip pat paleogeografinės raidos, žemyninių eolinių darinių formavimosi, geomorfologinių rajonų litomorfogenetinės struktūros tyrimai. Darbe pristatomi bendrieji ikikvarterinių uolienų paviršiaus bruožai, paleoįrėžių paplitimas, kilmė ir jų užpildas, ikikvarterinių uolienų paviršiaus paleogeomorfologinis rajonavimas, kvartero nuogulų storymės ypatumai bei Dainavos ir Žeimenos svitų kraigo paleopaviršiai. Darbe įvertinta geomorfologinių rajonų litomorfogenetinė struktūra ir sudarytas litomorfogenetinio rajonavimo žemėlapis, atkurta Pietų Lietuvos geomorfologinių rajonų paleogeografinė raida poledynmetyje. Atliktas geologinės struktūros sąsajų su geomorfologinių rajonų erdvine sklaida įvertinimas, leidęs nustatyti geomorfologinio paveldimumo pobūdį ir mastą. Darbo rezultatai apibendrinti išvadomis. Darbą sudaro 154 psl., 48 paveikslai, 11 lentelių. / The aim of the present research was to evaluate the influence of geological structure on the development of geomorphological complexes (regions) based on the case study of South Lithuania. The overview of investigations discusses the fields of investigations carried out by other authors: structural geomorphological, sub-Quaternary and Pleistocene palaeosurfaces, palaeogeographical post-glacial evolution, and geomorphological regionalisation. The sections “Methods” is devoted to regionalisation of sub-Quaternary surfaces, investigation of Pleistocene palaeosurfaces, reliability of distinguishing Pleistocene palaeosurfaces and evaluation of their comparability, and investigation of palaeogeographical evolution, and lithomorphogenetic structure of geomorphological regions. The dissertation introduces the general features of sub-Quaternary surfaces, distribution patterns of palaeoincisions, their genesis and filling material, palaeogeomorphological regionalisation of sub-Quaternary surface, thickness and specific distribution of Quaternary deposits and palaeosurfaces of the top of Dainava and Žeimena formations.
