Summary The education of national minorities is a very important part of education system of Lithuania. The role of education in creating and consolidating the democratic society of Lithuania Republic is very significant. Social, economical and political changes and the new priorities of educational reform stimulate to analysis deeper the traditions of education of national minorities which live in Lithuania. The main part of representatives of national minorities lives in the Southeast Lithuania. The tendency can be noticed that children from mixed and not Lithuanian families go to Lithuanian schools. So the social- pedagogical integration of the pupils of national minorities should be investigated. In this study the theoretical analysis of documents, the analysis of historical context were done. The oral inquest and questionnaire methods were used. The main attention was paid to analysis of integration end linguistic difficulties. It was noticed that the Ministry of Education of Lithuania Republic prepares and accepts legal statements related to national minorities. The representatives of national minorities choose the Lithuanian schools for better perspectives in the future. The fears about the linguistic difficulties were not confirmed. Only general psychological trouble of pupils’ integration was noticed.
