In fact, despite some efforts it was not possible to materialize actual achievements for the group of landless rural workers. With regard to land reform, we believe it is necessary to draw attention to the fight these workers in winning their plots and then to work on them, producing for their own consumption and trade. These struggles and achievements deserve to be reported, so that this thesis entitled "The issue of Farm settlement Floresta Branca the Municipality the Eldorado /MS”, arises for the purpose of conducting a study seeking to understand and analyze the characteristics and features of White Settlement Forest, located in the municipality. Accordingly we sought to investigate aspects inherent in the life of the settlers.The study brings to debate the issue of land reform, whose effectiveness has been the subject of much discussion, but with few governmental actions that truly meet the needs of land and working conditions of landless rural workers. In seeking to achieve the proposed objective the methodology used was the literature research and field study, and the first was conducted by surveying, selecting, reading and analysis of important theoretical contributions, which served as the foundation for the field study conducted with rural workers the Settlement Floresta Branca and among employees of the Department of Agriculture in the municipality of Eldorado and also the Rural union, as well as twenty families settled. The data collection instruments used were semi-structured questionnaire and oral history, the application of which has led to results that showed that the settlers surveyed are part of a people who fought, believed and despite setbacks, won his piece of land, and along with it, better living conditions, contributing substantially to the social and economic growth of the municipality where they are installed. Furthermore, it was recorded the urgent need to implement projects and programs that will promote these rural workers to remain on the land. / No Brasil existe uma comprovada má distribuição de terra, de modo que claramente o problema fundiário assume relevância social, pois mesmo que a reforma agrária tenha estado presente em inúmeras discussões, quando se trata das políticas agrárias, notadamente não há sua real efetivação. Na verdade, mesmo diante dos esforços empreendidos não se tem conseguido materializar conquistas efetivas para o grupo de trabalhadores rurais sem terra. Ainda em se tratando de reforma agrária é necessário chamar a atenção para a luta desses trabalhadores para conquistar seu lote e então trabalharem, produzindo para seu autoconsumo e para a comercialização. Acredito que se trata de lutas e conquistas que merecem ser contadas, de modo que a presente dissertação surge com a finalidade de realizar um estudo em busca de conhecer e analisar as especificidades e características do Assentamento Floresta Branca, localizado em Eldorado (MS). Nesse sentido investigou-se aspectos inerentes à vida dos assentados. O estudo traz à pauta a questão da reforma agrária, cuja efetivação tem sido motivo de grandes discussões, mas de poucas ações governamentais capazes de realmente atenderem as necessidades de terra e de condições de trabalho dos trabalhadores rurais sem terra. Em busca de atingir o objetivo proposto a metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica e um estudo de campo, sendo que o primeiro realizado por meio do levantamento, seleção, leitura e análise de importantes aportes teóricos, que serviram de fundamento para o estudo de campo realizado junto aos trabalhadores que compõem o Assentamento Floresta Branca e junto a pessoas ligadas à Secretaria de Agricultura do município de Eldorado e também ao Sindicato Rural, assim como junto a vinte famílias assentadas. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados utilizados foram questionário semiestruturado e história oral, cuja aplicação permitiu demonstrar que os assentados pesquisados fazem parte de um povo que lutou, acreditou e apesar dos dissabores vivenciados, conquistou seu pedaço de terra, e junto a isso, melhores condições de vida, contribuindo de forma substancial para o crescimento social e econômico do município, onde estão instalados. Além disso, registrou-se a necessidade urgente da implementação de projetos e programas que venham favoreçam esses trabalhadores rurais no sentido de permanecer na terra.
