Lacerda Filho, Mozart. January 2011 (has links)
The aim is also to understand how they were constructed and maintained their networks of sociability ─ since their survival depended on them ─ and map the permanently tension experienced by them due to being forced to remain in a border situation. Importantly, the voices of these political actors point to a multi-tonal, and, therefore, aims to get a feel for the plurality of truths that spring from these accounts. The challenge is to reconstruct individual trajectories on a collective journey through the explicitness of reference to the speeches and a common core of meaning. Furthermore, we hope, in this work, to show how the subjective life of exmilitants interferes in their political decisions. The undercover as traumatic experience will also be investigated in this study. The research sources are the accounts of former militants belonging to some kind of underground organization. These reports were collected from 2004 to 2010. For the treatment of methodological sources, especially the nature of the oral ones, we will dialogue with Maurice Halbwachs, Verena Alberti, Elizabeth Ferreira, Marieta de Moraes Ferreira. For the analysis starting from the conception of illegal experience as traumatic and catastrophic, we will use in this work the theoretical discussions proposed by Márcio Seligmann-Silva about the relation between history and catastrophe. Still in this same line, we will use the views of Jeanne Marie Gagnebin. Given that the issue requires an interpretation of hiding polyphonic, psychoanalytic concepts - trauma, sublimation, resistance, among others - will be discussed. Hence, Sigmund Freud and Melanie Klein's texts have been analyzed... (Complete abstract click electronic access below) / Doutor

Kongregace Chudých školských sester de Notre Dame v padesátých letech / The School Nuns de Notre Dame in the fifties

GAMPEOVÁ, Barbora January 2008 (has links)
The aim of my work was to cover the activity of the Poor School Nuns de Notre Dame since they have been found. The high attention was paid to their centralization to the Nunnery´s branch in Kardašova Řečice in the fifties. I have tried to outline the period of problematic religious and political systems that kept clashing. The work is divided into several topics that describe particular spheres of persecution. The most extensive chapter {--} Kardašova Řečice {--} captures the time since the institute had been established to the day when the last nun left it. There are the memories of the witnesses that narrate about nuns and their activity in the House for Seniors and Citizens unabled to work. The whole work is accompanied by the archival material, but also looks at the nuns´ witness with the true-life experience.

Eschatology, Cosmic Conflict, and Suffering in 1 Peter

Byrley, Christopher M. 02 January 2018 (has links)
Part of the biblical theology of Satan and the demonic realm includes a depiction of cosmic conflict, wherein earthly events and conflicts are portrayed as a reflection of heavenly ones, and vice versa. While this portrayal has been explored from various angles, it has not been applied to an examination of the letter of 1 Peter. This dissertation argues that the depiction of cosmic conflict does inform Peter’s paraenesis and depiction of suffering to a significant degree, in that Peter pictures the current persecution of the readers as a necessary and inevitable part of the cosmic struggle against Satan and the demonic realm.

Nelegální práce a její postih / Illegal work and its persecution

Šuda, Marek January 2017 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the illegal work and its persecution, whereas the main goal is to point out and analyze the most important institutes relating to the illegal work, to identify the relevant legislation and to point out problematic issues of the regulation and its application. The text is systematically divided into three main chapters, in particular the field of dependent work, illegal work and finally the sanctioning of illegal work. The introductory chapter of this thesis deals with dependent work, the definition of which is a necessary condition for further interpretation of illegal work and its persecution. After a brief introduction to the legislative history and the legal definition of this term, the particular characteristics of the legal definition and, subsequently, the conditions of performance of dependent work are discussed. Further, the case law of the Supreme Administrative Court and the related additional characteristics of the dependent work which the court has defined beyond the legal definition are mentioned. The second chapter finally deals with the main topic of the thesis which is the illegal work. After defining the legal definition of illegal work and a short reminder of its legislative development, the further text is divided according to the different...

State Level Causes of Terrorism: Limits on Political Expression

Case, Erik S. 12 1900 (has links)
Expanding on prior research into the state level causes of terrorism, I argue that state repression and limited state capacity reduces opportunities for non-violent political expression and increases the utility of terrorism. I also argue that economic freedom can is a form of political expression that can dissipate political grievances. While previous authors analyzed some of these variables separately using data on transnational attacks, I created a complete model incorporating the three categories of variables and tested my hypotheses using data that includes both domestic and transnational attacks. I use regression analysis for hypothesis testing and find support for the three primary contentions of this thesis and conclude that limits on political expression increase the likelihood nations will experienced increased levels of terrorism.

This work has as main purpose to analyze the emergence of a series of speeches about therapeutic practices indifferent to the field of Scientific Medicine as well as a repressive policy to its practitioners in the state of Paraiba during the period 1928-1945. Focusing spatially this analysis in São João do Cariri, we seek to understand how this policy of persecution of so-called "healers" and "charlatans", carried out initially in the largest cities in the state, will be gradually expanded to the whole Paraiba territory, including areas where the offering of medical services was scarce. In this sense, the criticism of a documentary corpus that includes, among other materials, official telegrams, newspaper ads and criminal cases is revealing a number of strategies driven by the promoters of the campaign, mostly physicians, as well as the artifices used by the persecuted therapists in an attempt to escape of the restriction and condemnation for the Faith healing.
